I've always loved that verse at the end of John's Gospel, too! So amazing to know we'll get to spend eternity in awe of Christ and getting to fully understand the depth and breadth of His love for us, and His glory. Amazing. And we'll be in heaven not by any merit of our own, praise God. My righteousness is as rags before His holiness, but how beautiful is it that Jesus clothes us in His perfection! Thankful for your videos, as always, sister; they really encourage me to get in the Word, and convict me of not valuing His Word enough!!

@@keeper341 Since you are attempting to convert this girl into islam, it is only fair of me to try to convert you. __________________________________________ *These are the main reasons why islam is FALSE:* Reason #1: In sura 4 in the Quran, it states that Jesus did NOT die on the cross. This is FALSE! Virtually *all* historians (religious and non-religous) accept that Jesus DID DIE on the cross. Even secular historians agrees with that. Therefore, the Quran has been corrupted. The Quran was written down hundrends of years after the death of Jesus. The New Testament and the non-biblical sources were written down the *same* century as the death of Jesus. Even the jews admit he died on the cross in the Talmud! Therefore, the New Testament is more reliable than the Quran about the life of Jesus. You have been told a lie your entire life! The Quran was written by the Devil (or written by Mohammed who was an imposter, whatever comes first)! Reason #2: The qurannic dilemma (islamic dilemma) causes the Quran to be self-defeating. Reason #3: There are more than one Quran. Even muslim scholars admit that that there is more than one Quran. The Quran did NOT come from the sky! You have been told a lie your entire life! __________________ For more information, go to the channel "cira international" and "pfanderfilms" and "acts17apologetics". We talk a lot about narcissistic behavior today, but most people don't see it in them selves. The most common trait of a narcissist is that they will love bomb you but then they will only "love" you as long as you fullfil their needs. Isn't that how many treat their relationship to Jesus? They just worship Him for what He can do for them instead of for who He is. Very important difference. Jesus - please come soon!!

Finally, someone who has some understanding about Jesus & who He is. While this is good to know & understand, people have been seriously deceived & led astray, by 'wolves in sheep's clothing' about how He (Jesus) works daily / overall in one's life and what it actually means to be a True Believer In & Follower Of the Lord & Saviour. Many people are going to be in for a rude awakening on Judgment Day. God is not & will not be mocked.

Luke 11:29- "As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah. 30 For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation. 31 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the people of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom; and now something greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and now something greater than Jonah is here." Jesus' words will never fade away, hallelujah. Come, Lord Jesus.

Great video Becca! As we’re approaching Christmas Day, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on traditions like putting up a Christmas tree, hanging mistletoe, etc. Historically, these practises originated from Celtic, Scandinavian and Germanic pagan practises that were believed to help ward off evil spirits and protect the household, etc. Would you consider these anti-biblical/Christian or to be worshipping false gods? Would love to hear your thoughts :)

Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

John 20:17 I tell Mary Magdalene :” I’m going to my god and your god.” Why would I lie to her and have Thomas think I’m god? Or maybe the context of Thomas calling me my Lord and my god, has a totally diff context such as: he called me Lord meaning master, and as he stuck his fingers in my side he said my god! As in expression he couldn’t believe I was real.

Very helpful study but he did come as the Lion and Lamb initially overturning tables and calling temple leaders a brood of vipers which is what resulted in his crucifixion. Nuance, while real and desperately needed to be addressed is difficult, I know, when people have been trained to view things in terms of black/white or right/wrong.

Hey I love most of what you do, and I have deep respect for you. There are two things that I would challenge you on. In your ABC (Admit, Believe and Confess), I think you miss the Biblical concept of repentance. Like the Canons of Dort (I don't know if you are familiar with them, I highly recommend them) say: "Moreover, it is the promise of the gospel that whoever believes in Christ crucified shall not perish but have eternal life. This promise, together with the COMMAND TO REPENT AND BELIEVE, ought to be announced and declared without differentiation or discrimination to all nations and people, to whom God in his good pleasure sends the gospel." (2nd article, paragraph 5) And second: You often say that you recommend people to believe, but Scripture says that it is our duty, it commands us to repent and believe. I mean this in love and kindness. And if you want to talk about this, I would be happy to. Greetings from the Netherlands, Daniël Schut

@FarAwayDistance I checked out Got Questions like you advised me to. Unfortunately, I could not find articles on there that addressed the following questions: Why didn’t God just create us all in Heaven in the first place? Why didn’t God only create those He knew would obey Him so nobody ended up suffering in Hell? Why did God create marriage in the first place if it’s just going to cease to exist after this life anyway? It did in some way at least attempt to answer the rest. I have follow up questions from reading the answers those articles provide. The answer Got Questions tried to provide to what happens to those who die without hearing the Gospel was that God reveals Himself through creation and therefore no one is blameless before God. The thing about that answer is that I can understand how someone might look at creation and reasonably come to believe there's a creator. However, I don't see how someone can look at a rainbow and suddenly know that a virgin gave birth to Christ and that Christ is the One they should accept and worship. From what I understand, believing God exists is not enough to be able to gain salvation. You also have to accept Christ as your Savior which then still begs the question: what happens to those who don't hear about the message of Christ while they're alive? Their response to the accusation that God sacrifices Himself to Himself to save everyone from Himself was basically that the eternal laws weren't laws that God created but rather that those laws are simply manifestations of His character. My follow up question to that is: then why does the Bible frame things as commandments? For example, why is it called the Ten Commandments and why does it say things like Thou shalt honor thy father and they mother? Why doesn't God instead say something like honoring your parents is a godly attribute and you should strive to do that? Why is it all framed as if it's a set of rules if it's simply all just a manifestation of God's character? Their answer to why God created us at all was simply that it pleased God. My follow up question to that is then a question I've already asked which is why didn't God create us all in Heaven in the first place in order to gain the most pleasure He could by just having us live with Him in Heaven from the very beginning? Anyway, thanks in advance for any personal responses you might give or any additional sources you may point me to.

Im not who you asked the questions to, but I'd like to say that you have some very good questions. Most believers have had similar ones as you. Keep reading your Bible and you will get more and more answers. The Holy Spirit teaches his children what we need to know this side of Heaven. Some things we just have to find out when we get there. God is good and holy and perfect. His law therefore has to be perfect. But no one could follow it perfectly, except Jesus, and that's why Jesus had to come to become the ultimate sacrifice for every single sin ever committed by the entire human race. God calls his creation to make a choice, believe in Jesus and follow Him, or die apart from His sacrifice and grace. In the book of Romans it mentions that God has revealed Himself in His creation and therefore everyone is accountable. I don't know exactly what God will do to those who never heard the name of Jesus, but we have to trust God that His judgement will be perfect because He is perfect. My biggest suggestion is for you to keep reading the Bible and ask God to help you understand how all the stories work together to show that salvation was necessary for humans to be reconciled to God. And according to God there can only be forgiveness of sins by the shed blood of Christ. God gives people many chances to come to Himself, by christians sharing with other people and He has been known to reveal himself through dreams and visions as well. God gives his creation, us humans, free will and the choice to serve and believe in Him or not. I know there are going to be a lot of unanswered questions until we meet God. Just know that He is good and holy and He will do what it takes to make himself known to those He knows will become His children. The idea and reality of hell is awful, I think everyone agrees on that, but that is the place of complete absence of God. Without God the only thing left is death and pain and misery. So that's what those that didn't want God will get. We all have sinned and we all deserve God's wrath, but Jesus took on our sins and God poured four His wrath on Jesus. Who is Himself a part of the Godhead (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). Jesus loves you, He loves everyone, but we must put our faith in Him to become saved. That's the perfect plan of God and what he requires. God bless and I pray you never give up searching for the truth found in God's Word, but I also pray you rest in knowing He's got everything under control. Have a great day. You are loved.

@@supervegeta1833 I can tell you why I think Christianisty is true. It is a long comment, but I hope you will bear with me. ______________________________________ *This is why I reject the other religions:* - Islam is rejected because (1) the qurannic dilemma, which causes the Quran to be self-defeating, and (2) the Quran claims Jesus did NOT die on the cross (which is false) and (3) the Quran was written hundreds of years after the death of Jesus. - Polytheism in general is false, because (1) their gods are _internal_ of time and place which lack explanatory power due to natural science and (2) as pantheists they posit that the universe is eternal and goes through a regenerative mechanism (which is NOT in alignment with the empirical findings from the 20th century) and (3) their writings are legendary, which means they were written more than one century after the alleged events transpired. - Mormonism is false, because (1) they only have one eyewitness for their golden plates, namely Joseph Smith himself, and (2) all other eyewitnesses recanted and (3) Smith acquired money, sex and power as a consequence of spreading his message, which gives credence to it being a conspiracy theory. - Jehovas witnesses is false, because the trinity can be deducible from _their own_ translation. - Buddhism is false because, if true, it would result in an infinite regress, which is a bad thing. - Rabbinical judaism is false, because of the messianic prophecy in the Old Testament. ______________________________ *This is why Christianity has the most amount of evidence:* 1. The resurrection-hypothesis appears to be the only hypothesis that can account for all the facts that the *majority* of *non-religious* scholars *affirm* . The attempted alternative naturalistic explanations are not valid. It was NOT a hallucination, since hallucinations cannot be in groups. Optical illusions can be in groups, but not hallucinations. (For more information, see the book "The case for the resurrection of Jesus" by the former agnostic historians Gary Habermas and Mike Licona.) 2. God is _external_ of time and place, which is in alignment with modern cosmology. 3. The textual evidence that exists is from the 1st century; the same century as the event ranspired. Hence, it´s NOT legendary. According to *atheist* scholars Maurice Casey and James Crossley, Gospel of Mark was written in around 40 AD. 4. Does not result in an infinite regress. 5. Fulfills the messianic prophecy in the Old Testament. 6. This is not evidence per say, but an observation that Christianity is the only religion where (1) god became incarnate and (2) the only religion where you do NOT have to do any works to achieve salvation and (3) is the only religion in which its founder claimed to be divine (others only say prophets or similar). 7. Claims that universe has a _singular_ beginning, which is in alignment with modern cosmology as evident by the findings of the 20th century. 8. The characteristics of a conspiracy theory (money, sex and power) do NOT apply to the apostles, since they died poor and got tortured and never recanted. 9. More than one claims to have been eyewitneses of the resurrection while never recanting, namely James, Peter etc. Additionally, the eyewitnesses were (former) skeptics and deniers. 10. The gospels include embarrassing accounts of the apostles that puts them in bad light (e.g. they were cowards and deniers), which heighten the sincerity of the authors of the gospel (since if the narrative would have been a later construction, you would have removed those embarrassing passages - but they are kept in, indicating a degree of sincerity and transparency). ____________________________ Christianity is the religion that has the highest probability and is the most in alignment with reality.

@@hhstark8663 Thanks for explaining why you believe in Christianity. Could you elaborate for me how the Quran is self-defeating? I’ve never heard that before. Also, could you tell me when the eye witnesses to Joseph Smith’s golden place recanted seeing them? I haven’t heard about that either. If you don’t mind, would you also tell me what you make of my list of questions regarding Christianity? Do you have any idea what the answer to any of those questions may be? To know what questions I’m talking about, look at my initial comment. Thanks again for responding!

@@supervegeta1833 *Why the Quran is self-defeating:* In the Quran, Mohammed tells christians and jews to read the Bible to support his claims. The Bible does NOT support Mohammed´s claims. Therefore, the Quran is false. *Why the other eyewitnesses of the golden plates recanted:* The other eyewitnesses said they saw the physical golden plates. Then they recanted upon confrontation. They did NOT see the plates physically with their own two eyes. Stephen Burnett and Martin Harris writes in their letters than they never saw the plates. *Regarding your questions:* Since the resurrection happened in history with historical evidence (for real), Jesus is the messiaha and everything he taught is true. Therefore, we know that sin is real and that we live in a fallen world. Let me use an analogy. Even if I am unable to explain WHY a car crash happened (may be the driver was drunk), that does not change the fact that a car crash happened. A car crash happened, whether or not I know why it happened.

Becca I love your videos and teachings but I remember that Paul felt women should not preach and they should be silent in church and ask their husbands if they had questions. What should we make of this? I have taught some of the Gospels to my husband who is not Christian.

From what I have learned at my Reformed Bible College, what Paul said is translated to actually mean that women should be calm and submissive, just like all people should be submissive while learning. He did not mean that women could not teach. At the time in Ephesus, the church was being taught false teachings due to the bad religions coming in that people were worshipping on the side. Paul did not want anyone to be teaching if they were spreading false and sinful teachings!

A Note to the BloodLine of Yashrael and to the Strangers (GraftedIn). Please read this note with a humble heart. There is a lot to know and understand about the truth in the lost ten tribes, and even the other two tribes of Jacob (Yashrael) that are near the Yarushalem home land. I thought it was cut and dry myself; but that is not what the Almighty Ab YahuAh's Scriptural scenario portrays for His Chosen One(s). Hand it over to the WILL of Abba Father. The ten tribes were scattered about the Earth within the nations for a reason; rebellion! (They) were abandoned by Abba Father, and put in the dark= (blinded). Now, since the Blood AtoneMent of the New and Better Promises; our King and High Priest Messiah YahuSha, strangers and the BloodLine have the same ability to abide, obey, guard, and do the Almighty Ab YahuAh's WORD and Commandments. And when these two groups abide IN Messiah YahuSha; they are then circumcised of the heart, through His blood AtoneMent= Immersed with the Spirit Light of Truth IN the (verses) of the Whole Living sWORD; the VINE= Messiah YahuSha; and are then considered of the (House of Abraham) and (may) receive the covenant promises and the blessings, that were Sanctified with a blood dinner and specific agreements, between Abraham and the Almighty Abba Father. Our ForeFather's did not want this, and did not make it into the promised land, except for two Loyal men; Caleb and Yahusha. WARNING WARNING -- To the NATIONS (HuMans) of the Earth. Since the AtoneMent of blood IN Messiah YahuSha; anyone that is LAW(less) and do not repent and turn about (180)= Those that ignore and will not abide, obey, and guard the Moral Kingdom Ten Commandments of the Mercy Seat, and the WORD of the His 'Saving will' Testimony (right-ruling behavior), with the Witnesses of the Prophets, Disciples, and the Life of Messiah YahuSha, will be convicted with the Sharp Two EDGED (sWORD; Law) that comes from the Almighty Ab YahuAh's breath, abode, heart! Messiah YahuSha (the sWORD; the Right-ruling LAW) will JUDGE and convict the nations, (all) HuMans that are not sealed with the Mark of (ABBA LOVE) on their forehead for Knowledge, and on their hand for Action= Abiding IN the Spirit Light of Truth IN the (verses) of the Whole Living WORD; the VINE of the TREE to LIFE, LOVE, LOGIC, and LOYALTY everlasting. New and Better Promises; Messiah YahuSha= Our King, High Priest, and Intercessor unTO the Father and Creator of (all). Praise and thanks to the Most High Ab YahuAh for He IS Love, Life, and Loyalty, for believers who "Hear Ye Him!"

Question: *Is God immoral for commanding to kill the Cannaties?* (Background: We acknowledge that it happened as part of the Old Covenant and hence does NOT apply to us today, as it is part of the Old Covenant. Unless a moral issue is *repeated* in the New Testament, it does NOT apply today. We acknowledge also that god may have morally sufficient reasons for issuing certain commands, which we may or may not comprehend.) There are two interpretations of the passage - (1) hyperbolic interpretation and (2) literal interpretation. Both interpretations are equally valid. I will begin by mentioning the part of the answer that applies to both interpretations and then mention the answer that applies to each interpretation individually. I personally adhere to the hyperbolic interpretation. *Part of the answer that applies to both interpretations:* God is not arbitrary and gives reasons for judging people in the Old Testament during the Old Covenant. The reason is that the Cannaties, despite repeated warnings for 400 years prior when their debauchery had not reached a critical stage, were still sacrificing their own children for the pagan idol Molech (it´s analogous to today´s abortion industry more or less) and not to mention (according to non-biblical texts) bestiality and blasphemy and human sacrifice of the highest order in such cultures. Sometimes you will hear people say "If god is so loving, then why doesn´t he stop evil in the world?". Well he did stop evil in this case by commanding the israelites to put an end to Canaaties´ evil-doing by driving them out of the nation-states (meaning those who left the land would be spared and those who stayed to fight made the cautious decision to oppose God - this is NOT genocide). What else is there to do? They did not listen to reason, so they had to listen by force. You might now be thinking: "But why did he kill everyone, including the small children then? Why not just keep them alive?" *Part of the answer that applies only the hyperbolic-interpretation:* The answer is that he did NOT kill everyone. It´s only hyperbolic language. It´s just like in deuteronomy 7 - God commands everyone is to be killed, yet in the next verse God commands the israelites to not interbreed with them. How can they interbreed if they were all annihiliated? The answer is that they were not all annihiliated, it´s just exaggeration to illustrate a decisive victory over the opponent. (It´s analogous to sport-competitions; when someone says football team #1 annihiliated football team #2, they do NOT literally mean that anyone died - only that a decisive victory was achieved.) *Part of the answer that applies only the literal-interpretation:* Even if children would have been killed, they would not die and go to hell. According to theology, those who are pure of heart (e.g. children) will not be judged but acquire ever-lasting life. If any children would have died, that would be God´s way of saying that it is their time to go to Heaven. When any human being die that is pure of heart, they change location and go to Heaven. When a human being dies of sickness, is that murder by God? No, that is God´s way of saying that it is their time to change location. (God has the right to decide when humans die or live as he is the Creator, but human beings does not have that right.) The adults would die and go to hell, since they would at that point be evil beyond saving as they would have cautiously enganged in these evil acts and remained in the land despite repeated warnings.

@@sofiabravo1994 The end point is if u wanna believe in something believe it. Spiritually I understand what Jesus did, became one of us to humble himself & became one of us to serve God. That makes sense, but logically... It's hard to grasp the concept of how God could abandon Jesus on the cross, when Jesus was God & somehow got reunited with God. The lessons Jesus taught & the archetype of Jesus make sense but I'm a bit fuzzy on whether it logically makes sense or not. I hope that doesn't come of as me being offensive to u & ur faith because that's not my intention. However, if u can accept it I urge u to accept it & point to what Jesus said in Matthew 18 about "To enter the kingdom of Heaven, u must have faith of a child." Have we learned nothing from our undoubting believe in Santa Claus even though we never saw him? And, now that we're adults why can't we have the same level of faith in God?
