As humanity delved deeper into the Earth for resources, blasting would commence which arguably, would allow us to tap into veins of ore and metals we would never naturally be able to reach just by digging. As we went further and further, we would discover something. An attack would immediately be launched the miners who were sent down to pull out the resources. These creatures seeming have never come into contact with humanity and likewise, we havent with them. A war would be launched against them as a small town attempts to keep them contained. Which is a dumb idea lol but where doe these creatures come from and how did they evolve? And why do they look human? Lets discuss that in todays episode!

It covered this new possible drilling tech that uses high powered ruby Lasers that are able to bore a small hole & cauterize the walls of the hole. The thing is they are highly energy demanding. It's at least a possibility of a future advancement in bore hole drilling & dealing with the issues we've seen so far.. could help us tap into geothermal power in more locations around the globe.

@Rednekdash
@Rednekdash 8 ай бұрын
European here , why is it scary out there ?
@Spinosaur101
@Spinosaur101 8 ай бұрын
@@Rednekdash The other mentioned mountain ranges are generally far more remote than the Appalachians, for starters. They're also bigger than the Appalachians, (at least the Rockies and Cascades are, dunno about the Sierra Nevadas) making them much harder to travel on foot and putting hikers and climbers more at risk of landslides, flash floods, etc. The Appalachians do seem darker at night because of the abundance of deciduous trees in the region that make a lower, thick canopy. The PNW on the other hand is mostly tall conifers and old growth, which lets a bit more light in through the canopy in most spots, but it can still get pitch black in the thicker woods, or on cloudier or foggy nights, which happens fairly often. The Sierra Nevadas are a whole other can of worms; less trees, not as creepy to look at, but if you're stuck out there in them, good fucking luck. Dehydration will be your worst enemy, but rattlesnakes, scorpions, and the generally inhospitable, rocky terrain will definitely compound your problems if you tackle them unprepared.

I follow a small number of channels that do what you do. Bring real-world biology or psychology into movies and shows. Sometimes this can, for lack of a better word 'debunk' something. But sometimes it can add so much more depth to something that could so easily be taken at face value.

There's a very interesting similar case to your most likely hypothesis in the anime Hunter X Hunter (2011) in it's final arc. The Chimera Ant arc is about a species of ant that incorporates the DNA of consumed species and the singularity event is the moment it successfully incorporated humans into the genome. Don't know if you'd ever cover an anime monster species, but there's actually a lot of competent science injected into the material alongside the sci-fi and supernatural aspects.

What a gem of a video. Normally I have KZbin as background noise. With your videos I would listen only at first. Then found myself going back to rewatch because of the scene cuts. But this one deserved third re-watch. Third was specifically just for the puns that seem to be abundant in this one! English isn't my first language so your figure of speech is fascinating! Long live the borehole king!

@RoanokeGaming Just recently stumbled on your channel and I've been binge watching your content for the past few days. Love the fact that you delve into the physiology of various science fiction cryptids; half the time I become so engrossed in the biology/science lesson I completely forget the video is about a creature in a film or video game. I'd love to see you cover the delightful biology of the slugs/hive mind amalgamation from the movie "Slither." Definitely an underrated creature feature, plus Michael Rooker, Elizabeth Banks, and I think...Jason Bateman? are in it. Big fan of Michael Rooker, haha.

'Are these mountains scary to the average british person' Actually yes, yes they are. I've known a few british people and for some reason every one of them I've met seems to think that any place that isn't a major city is full of crazed gun toting lunatics that are just looking for an excuse to delete theme. This is, of course, the height of irony given crime statistics.

Hey man. Thanks for the video. Was awesome and made me want to watch the movie. I really like your third idea with the concept of the queen stealing genes to add to the next adaptation. The question then would be how long til a next queen is produced and would that still be a queen like the last or have adaptations of its own.
