for sure best city in China..... HongKong is not even close.... when I was on business trip in Shanghai, it was nothing like the rest of China.... hardly any shit on the streets... people were not yelling or pushing.... and the local cuisine was so damn good!!!!!

Shanghai is awesome!! great vibes.... the Shanghainese people (not outsiders) are usually well educated and gentle.... probably the most comfy place in all of China!!!

That was very interesting to hear from people who live in Shanghai and how they feel about it. To me, it gives me a great sense how this city provides some kind of protection for "things" that it may not be provided in other CH's conservatives cities. It is not bad, it is what it is.The fact is, the flux of various people moving in and living in that city is having a great impact how people conduct themselves in that city. A phenomenon, I would think it is on the vanguard of things.

I prefer Beijing or Chengdu or Xi’an more,Shanghai in my opinion is less Chinese style but western style mega city,not too many Chinese traditional stuff compared to other cities
