Great to have you back Marcus. Now.......could you do a video on your hands in the downswing, at what point do you start throwing the club head. Maybe you've done a video in the past, but a nice new one would be great.

Thank you my friend. As suggested, I re-watched ‘why hooks?’.. As always, your advice was correct. I had too much rotation, and worse, too much wrist rotation. Worked on the scoop, aim for heaven, push with the trail hand. Thanks Marcus! Your friend, Jacko 🇦🇺

I broke my life-long slice habit thanks to Marcus. My downswing start moves that wreck my swing are 1) pulling the hands down at ball 2) rotating the body open. Both of those things do happen in a swing, but they just can't be my first move at the ball.

About 15 years ago, I went to the local pro to get a lesson. I was struggling with my distance. He said, "You have no release". He got me to start releasing the club right from the top! And, it worked great for a while. Alas, now I'm getting too old (77) to generate much speed. But, I don't slice much anymore. Mostly I pull hook it.

This is simply brilliant. There's an old ben hogan video where he talks about starting the swing with the lower body, which is correct, but he then demonstrates rotating the hips without releasing the club - this advice I think ruined a lot of people

After watching many of your videos, i came to the conclusion that your swing and what you teach are extremely similar to what Count Yogi swing is. If you don't know him, you sholud check him out. He has the best golf swing in history in my opinion alongside with Moe Norman.

Hi Marcus, do you deliberately bend your lead wrist to release before impact?

I don't bend before impact, I try to make a fast extension that start long before impact and I hit the in the release not after.

@GolfwithMarcusEdblad4 ай бұрын
@@ikaleris1298 The release of your arms start very early and it's not over at the ball. We need to fold the lead arm after impact otherwise we only do a half release of the arms. Before impact the trail arm extends and after impact the lead arm folds.

It hurts to see the “Slicer” open up there alignment to go along with to much body rotation as your showing here Try to get some of them to understand how not to slice and to trust the truth is out of there comfort zone so they put a bandage on there problem To trust … the first hurdle in the journey
