Women look for equal or better partnerships, and at minimum equal trades in value in a relationship, the problem is they look for that even in the work place. Almost like Hypergamy but in social order, Bosses (good bosses) give far more than they receive A boss is expected to be lenient towards there employees A boss is expected to be grateful towards there employees A boss is expected to be a problem solver for there employees A boss is expected to be a teacher for there employees A boss is expected to be a leader for there employees An employee in return must only reciprocate effort and performance with the given task, there is an inequality here that most female bosses can't handle because women simply do not like being in relationship dynamics where they provide far more than they receive, men on the other hand are very comfortable giving more than they take, men naturally wont to be able to provide excess resources in that regard because men derive far more satisfaction from knowing they can lead others successfully men take far more pleasure from the status and authority that come from such relationships. best way to conceptualize this is to think of a person's first week at a good company, everyone is super friendly, everyone is introducing themselves to you, everyone is understanding of that fact your going to be slow, your getting very little work handed to you, the bosses are appreciative of everything you do you are essentially put on a pedastal the only thing you can reciprocate is gratitude as your not in a position to teach, lead, problem solve or be lenient to anyone you are just taking and not giving anything back yet. This is the position most women prefer to be in the "adored" where on the flip side a lot of men are uncomfortable in this position and try to quickly find out how can i start giving back as they want to start getting the pay, status and authority that come with leadership.

@pax3974 Жыл бұрын
Odds are they dislike you, especially the women. However, the truly unfortunate part of these situations is, that because we've created a grossly effeminate culture whereby feelings matter more than anything else, you can never know what people really think about you, or what the actual truth of the matter is. Working with women is a nightmare for the *sole reason* that truth and honesty go out the window, and are replaced by feelings. Normally, it wouldn't matter how difficult a situation is, because challenges can be worked through, but if you don't have honesty and trust, then even the smallest issues become insurmountable problems. Women were forced into the workforce under the guise of feminism and "progress", all within the space of 2 generations, and society was obviously maladapted to handle this relatively sudden change. Unfortunately, I think this has actually done more harm to women than good, because previously people just assumed women weren't competent at certain things (because nobody really knew) but now we're *seeing it* all around the world. Doesn't seem to be enough self-awareness to stop the damage being done either. I'm not really sure how women are expecting this to end well for them.

when woman act hyper aggressive (which alot of female bosses do) they tend to go overboard because that sort of behaviour coming from a male boss would get the male boss punched in the face, if not in the office, it would happen outside the office. since they threat of violence doesnt deter female bosses, they way it does men, its not uncommon for female bosses to overdue their passive aggressive, and aggressive behaviour . not saying thats you, just something to keep in mind.

As a man I've worked the same for several female bosses with no problems, too. Some were actually good to the women under them as well so they were just good people. I think women are more aware of other women's foibles. Was at work the other day and one of the younger ones said she'd done something productive and one of the older women turned and told her to kindly quit with the lying. The younger one blushed and giggled and admitted she hadn't actually done the task. I think women see through other women more easily than men just as we can tell a scoundrel male seemingly much more easily than women do (you shake your head at what women will buy from a cad..). So women don't cut other women the slack men do. Then there are jealousies and that strange point system they seem to use to measure each other with (a point for a man, points for children, points for x, y, and z etc..). The good female bosses set those aside but not all are good people. A lot of praise on my part for the good women I've worked for and especially those who looked after the women in the office fairly, too.

It really depends on the woman. My previous boss was à woman and I absolutely loved working for her. She was à very logical, factual and solution oriented person. She was responsible of her actions, and let me do my job without interfering as long as my results were good. She fostered à productive environnement and I don't know a single person who disliked working for her, men or women. I could talk to her about anything. What I respected was also that she didn't feel threatened by other people. She is smart, incredibly compétent and succeeds in everything she does, so she doesn't need to put down other just to feel better about herself. She climbed to the top of her field and worked for the président of her country. What mattered to her was compétence, results, responsibility, productivity and harmony. Other female bosses I had, it was another story. This is going to sound conceited, but because I´m tall, blonde, thin, with blue eyes, happily married, good at my job, and because I live in an east Asian super compétitive society where physical appearence is paramount, I notice that *some* women will instantly and irrationally hate me from the start. I see it in their eyes from the get go. I also notice that the least competent they are, the more (passive) agressive they will be. They will start to micro manage every single détails, make remarks about my physique, be uncooperative just to assert the small amount of power they have, and create problems uselessly. Also, they treat others as children. With mâle bosses, the only time I had a problem was when I was single and they wanted to sleep with me. Now that I´m married, I don´t have this problem anymore and the mâle bosses that I have behave as the first female boss I described. So yes, based of my expérience, statistically, I prefer working for a man, even if I´m a woman.

I'll use you as an example as to why women and female leaders don't get along. As a male employee, if my manager is 'bad', I work with them while working on my ultimate plan (leave, exceed, wait for downfall). I don't care if they are male or female but as a professional, I get my work done and get paid. You on the other hand see contention. If I was in your position as a man (highly viewed) I would NOT GIVE A FUCK what other people think. This is why women and female leaders have so much contention. If two men really have a problem, we fight it out, otherwise stop the whining. Women usually draw out these altercations leading to negative environments. That last bit that Chris mentioned, about how male athletes differ from female athletes. It seems that men are much more able to retain their humanity in competitive and stressful situations. @-glitch-8195 Жыл бұрын
Thats because female bosses do not treat males that work under them the same way they treat females working under them. They feel superior to the male so they don't even see them. With females working under them, they start treating them poorly because they're trying to push them out since they're scared that one of them will replace her. I think its because a lot of them feel as though they don't deserve the position because they lack confidence in their ability to do the job. Thats why they create more problems in the workplace than the amount of time they do anything. I'd say men in general do not take work as hard as women do anyways. They just chill out, converse, laugh a little where areas females whip out their radios trying to hunt you down all the way from the other side of the building. Sometimes they're not even your boss and they behave that way. Even the male manager who is signing your check doesn't care, but she does 😂😂😂😂Ironically though, the first people to defend a female boss is men. But if it was the other way around and the male boss was mistreating others, a female (boss) would me too him real quick. Men usually don’t care about bad female behavior until it effects them. Even female professors I've come across have been like that. Half of their syllabus is just threats of disciplinary actions that will be taking against you, lots of scolding, and never sticking to the subject.

For me, because women get away with lying and making stuff up. They just have to say there is something personal going on and you are done. "It's a female fight between those 2". so it's too easy to drag you down because the evil person can always hide behind "a misunderstanding" if the other person doesn't back down. So you never really win, you can only lessen a severe reputation damage.

I have had female bosses/employers and my experience was very pleasant. They had different characteristics, but both appreciated hard work so they never nagged me when it came to work and allowed me do my thing (it was retail so things are not changing that often). One was very sweet and had some tendency to micromanage if she felt like someone wasn't doing anything (which was the case for some employees) while the other was pretty chill and as long as we got the work done, she never intervened. Ig the reason I liked them was because they made me feel appreciated at work and never gave me more work as a reward of finishing as assignment early.

We got a new branch manager for gender quotas (the company advertised this in video and emails). She was hyper aggressive, cruel and spent our budget on liabilities to the point that were in the red. She was such a bad person that everyone with experience quit. We had many crew members who had 15-20 years with the company/branch. They all left including me. I’m direct and have never had a problem with male bosses. In other words, men don’t sit me down for “talks” about how my email was “interpreted.” It is exhausting. I get along much better with men in general. As a female working for a female boss I’m not allowed to be direct in a moment when I’m under stress that my female boss put on me. I’m supposed to grin and bear crap. It’s simply not me.

The reason why we all prefer working with men than women is pretty simple. This is generally speaking. With men the only thing everyone needs to concern themselves with is the job at hand. With woman you need to add feelings to the work and those are unpredictable. It leads to added anxiety and an element that causes stress. We’re just not allowed to talk about it anymore. So it makes it worse. Don’t get upset by the truth. Have worked in plenty of male dominated industries and also the DEI corporate culture. Women constantly need to be reinforced emotionally. It gets worse the higher up they go.
@richardnorth1881 Жыл бұрын
Men seem to have an easier time separating the professional from the personal. In general, if a man is bluntly given orders (without nice wording) or has his work criticized, or a colleague disagrees with him about something job-related, men seem more able to compartmentalize the issue as "strictly business" and get on with it, without developing a personal hatred for their colleague. They are more able to remain friends with the colleague in spite of the incident. Women on the other hand, on the macro-scale, seem much more sensitive to professional criticism, or being given orders at work without nice-kind-wording, or disagreement about something work-related, and are more likely to start personally resenting their colleague because of that. I.e. professional disagreement is more likely to turn into personal resentment with women. Again, this is all in general. There are men and women who fall into the inverse camps as well. But in general, I think is an important difference.

The reason is actually sexism. Female bosses have more to prove which makes them pressured to deliver/prove themselves more compared to men. or pressured to manage sexist insubordination. I have had female bosses I hated when I was younger and more naive to the world, Once I had more experience and changed from old white male bosses(which are the easiest) to female to young bosses back and forth I now understand what’s really going on which helps me manage my bosses nomatter who they are and manage ppl below. I actually now prefer female bosses because they take me to the next level more than any other once I befriend them or show them I truly respect them they relax more.

What I'm hearing with what she's saying is that women don't like having female bosses because they project their behavior so bad that if they themselves were at the top, they would be abusing their power. That's why they're so concerned about any imbalance of power. Hardcore projection. "I don't like her because she's going to be doing what I would be doing if I was in her shoes". They prefer equal footing because when they are on equal footing, they all realize they are at the same level, so they must have the same interests. Surely. The moment one gets above the other, she'll abuse her situation, and the others resent that. It actually explains a lot. To be honest it kind of brings to the discussion about whether companies should want women at the top or not. Feminists will say "yes", but really is that a good idea ? Doesn't seem like one to me. I'm curious to know how that articulates with the need for women's ancestors to function in groups, communities, in order to survive when the men were away, kind of what we tend to perceive the sisterhood to be. How much of it is sisterhood, and how much of it is respect for equals ? It doesn't seem to be the same thing, but maybe it is in a weird way ?

Working in several different fields including the medical field, I can give you a pretty good summary of why female bosses are the worst. The pecking order is real and they will beat other women figuratively to get their way. Once women realize that there is someone in the group who is less dominant they will attack. Because women are so competitive to try to prove themselves, they will bring people down just to get a leg up. Also women have the ability to form groups based off of race, age, seniority, interest and position within company. They tend to gang up in these groups to solidify their importance and dominance. Women also tend to be more sexual and flirty with male coworkers and male bosses to try to get a leg up in the company. Other women see this as a deplorable behavior and will segregate themselves away from this or they will join in on the fun to see how far they can get away with it. If women see that there is an up-and-coming woman in the field who possibly will pass them in rank or pay, they will do everything to complete the demise of this up and coming woman. Women gang up on other women and male employees for control and dominance. When you have a group of women who will stand together and lie for each other, there is no way of improving the situation without firing or the women resigning. Men while they can be petty, women are much worse. Also tone and dictation of a female's voice is taking differently by men and women. Women analyze dictation and tone to find the underlying meanings of what is being said. Women will try to read between the lines. Men keep the same tone and dictation as they speak no matter if it's female or male with the exception of most men are more sensitive to a woman's feelings in some fields. Men are also more careful around women because of harassment and HR issues. It is harder to bring women bosses into an HR and have HR believe the complaints without saying you're just looking too much into the situation.

Having said that, I do think a subset of women have a hard time reporting to women, perhaps due to differing expectations and bias. One person, in particular, made my early working life for about nine years particularly unpleasant. @jomurphy1654 Жыл бұрын
@@sregan5415 It takes a strange mixture of guts and diplomacy! We need to avoid escalating things here. You could politely but firmly ask to chat to the offending person on their own (or, if you feel it might be necessary, ask a neutral colleague to sit in - although that's tricky in itself). Don't start sentences with the somewhat accusative 'You were this/you were that". Say things that are factual and simply stated - things like "Pamela, when you said 'blah blah blah' in front of our colleagues I felt that there was a - perhaps unintentional - motivation on your part to make me feel XYZ". The offending colleague will probably say "Oh how you could possibly think that?" or "You're just being paranoid" - your response to this type of reaction might be to say something like, (and be even and unemotional in your tone as you reply) "That may have been your impression but it wasn't mine and I think our colleagues felt the same way" - There'll then be 'huffing and puffing' - so, let some of that ride and then conclude with something like " That's all I have to say at the moment, 'Pamela' - it's really just a question of demonstrating mutual respect in public, in the context of our professionalism, so I hope we can both work to achieve that and then we won't need to have this conversation again." So, sregan, not easy (and more problematic - and risky - with a senior) and, of course, I don't have your exact context to base the above on, but that's the kind of key of it! Hope, maybe, it's helpful!

She took three minutes and over 100 words to say that "women get jealous of other women" Why try so hard to discredit any necessity to take accountability for it? Women are less pragmatic in their actions than men... they often play games based upon emotions of themselves or others... essentially making many of their actions appear passively aggressive and often manipulative. Example: a female boss may be aware of a tough living environment for a female subordinate. Because of that knowledge she instead has a meeting w her informing her of the problems, and shows sympathy towards her subordinates home challenges avoids firing or heavily criticizing the individual for several months in hopes that she can work her situation out and become productive and efficient in her work, but that never happens. She is forced to fire the female employee, and the female employee now feels lead on and then cutoff cruelly, as though she had a treat dangled in front of her only to see it snatched away... and this hypothetical doesn't even have either women motivated by negative emotion, but sympathetic and appreciative upon the start... imagine when there is actual animous and anger involved. A man would have likely fired her at the initial sit down, expressed sympathy for her situation but remained firm as though it was no longer in his hands to change it. It's a much better approach... when you are firm and present as though you have already made the decision and it cannot be undone. Ppl will be upset in the moment, but the majority actually quickly forgive the individual that fired them understanding that it was better to have the bandaid ripped off quickly when it's all said and done, and actually gain an appreciation for the approach.

If she micromanages, it's because she cares about her work and it's easy to see that 2) The Wino: Loud, condescending, and extremely territorial. She tries to be cool by granting PTO and being understanding about your work/ life balance, but every small snag in her routine leads to loud, verbal anguish. 3) The Weekender: She's either always remote or in the break room. No one is entirely sure what she does, but she gets it in gear just long enough for her superior to leave. It's not complicated imo As women we have to compete with the man boss stereotype. I truly don't think most people like being direct bosses, not an easy position

The problem with women is: when a person responds to a problem the woman will get her feelings hurt and make that an even bigger issue than the problem itself. Example: "Why did you just kick me?" Her: "Don't raise your voice! You're making me really uncomfortable!"

It could also be because of how men generally perceive women, especially if the employee is attractive..even if there is no actual sexual or romantic interactions in the workplace, a male boss maybe more sympathetic and friendly to female employees because of the halo effect that pretty people have, which may not be present or even have the opposite effect if the boss is female.

yeah, biologically speaking other (attractive) women are a threat to women, so evolutionary psychology makes women dislike other women in some contexts.

Great video. You should change your description to say "women seem to prefer working for male bosses" or "women seem to prefer not working for female bosses". From an evolutionary perspective, women didn't hold leadership positions in society for most of history. The ones that thrived and succeeded were women who became masters of their own household and family unit. Human culture has produced women "good at" leaving their mothers and asserting firm boundaries and even dominance over their new mother-in-law.
