I think most royals are pretty normal people, nowadays they're encouraged to start benefits for poor people around the globe, set up trade organisations, yadda yadda. The only difference being that they descend from actual kings and queens of past days, which is why they can still claim this title. as long as people still find some value in that, it's not gonna go away that soon. I'm pretty doubtful about the continuation of the Belgian royal family though. Our current king and queen have expressed their wishes for their children to have normal lives and whatever career they choose for themselves. Can a king or queen actually suspend the throne?
