We live in a fallen sinful world. The Footprints poem reminds me of God/Jesus love and helps me through the pain and sorrow of life and IS ALWAYS there through the good and the bad. One day God will make a NEW heaven and earth where there WILL BE NO MORE TEARS and only him and what he intended things to be in the first place... Revelation ! This Memorial Day I want to say thank you to all who serve and have served. RIP to all who gave their all. God bless.

DJ, I am so sorry for your 17 years of abuse in the Foster care system. My biggest struggle is hearing about children being hurt and abused. I hope and pray that you feel whole, that you have surrounded yourself with good people AND that your beloved-brother is able to send you God winks from heaven. God bless your life DJ. ❤️from YeeYee Nation.

To the hardest God Question - Do you volunteer in any capacity? I had a rough childhood myself and asked those questions too. But, when I started volunteering, first as a Youth Leader at church, then a CASA with Travis County, and then as a Crime Victim Assistant Volunteer with my county, God showed me my answer. I went through all of that crap to help me better understand what the kids and families I am supporting are going through. It has also helped me be more empathetic with those around me, including my coworkers and those I lead. I am a huge believer in Servant Leadership, which requires leaders be empathetic of those they’re helping be their best self. This may not be an answer you wanted to hear, but it’s what has helped me through those hard times.

For the couple getting married, my pastor said he and his wife learned that any time they had an argument, they would go in separate rooms, pray about it, focus on asking for what part they (themselves) had in the argument and help in what to do, then to come together, forgiving each other, pray together, starting by praying for each other, and ending by asking gods forgiveness and for His help in growing their relationship/marriage. He said that kept them from getting into blaming each other and to focus on becoming one with Jesus at the center. That is the advice my daughter and her soon to be husband got during their premarital counseling.
@2byoung3 жыл бұрын
I will always wonder how different my marriage could have been if I’d had a relationship with God when I was first married. Even more important would be if my husband and I could have had a relationship with God together. That’s why I live hearing about Granger and Amber’s marriage and walk with God. I never knew people, couples or families even did the things they do. I learn so much.
@contentedspirit90223 жыл бұрын
@@2byoung I agree. I thought I knew things, but I had no clue. I didn't marry a believer either, or one who had the strong commitment to stay and work things out. It's been nice seeing my son-in-law love my daughter even though she has had trauma issues to deal with. He doesn't really understand how to meet her emotional needs, but that's part of making a marriage. He loves her she has no doubts about that and he loves God first. I love seeing how much he is committed to her and making it work.

Loved Chad’s response regarding the brother-in-law situation. In addition to that being the overall right thing to do, there are additional considerations. Granger mentioned a possible pregnancy from his actions. There is also the possibility of picking up a STD of some type that then gets brought home to the wife, and that can have life altering ramifications for her. Hoping that can all be worked out. Sorry the writer got stuck in that really uncomfortable situation.

I was awful at sports, bullied by the school kids. My school years were tough until I got into horses at 13 years old. I shined on horses. I am a gifted horse trainer and a natural rider. My love for horses and the bond I have with horses helped me get through the extreme pain during school. I barrel raced, did all the training of my horses. I did all the gymkhana events and really did well. I'm 67 years old and I don't do any showing. I have vertigo so I enjoy trail riding and the bond with the horse. So horses are my sport!

When we face pain and suffering how we respond to it is a choice. If we seek God, He is faithful and He will provide. James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. So he gives these trials to see if we will draw closer to him or the world. James 4:7-10 is a great place to read and pray on. Ill be praying for you and your family.

For Andrew, asking for Jesus to help fix his brokenness isn't even about religion. It's about developing a sincere relationship with the almighty One who knows him better than he knows himself. Religion is manmade rules. Jesus isn't about rules. He's about life and real relationship with Him. People make it more difficult than it is.

On the question about the job...I used to be a hiring manager for a government contractor. I’ve had numerous employees come to me throughout my career and bring to me questions regarding other career options they’ve been given or offered. Most times I was able to match or offer something better to retain a good employee. So don’t be afraid to bring it to your boss and discuss it with them, but realize that your prior job performance will be taken into account and will impact any decision or possible offer your current boss make extend.
