because it's been over 2 months since the breakup and my ex kept texting me weekly, I asked him: " you've been texting me for 2 months, I have accepted your decision about ending the relationship, but don't understand why do you text me?" He replied, because he likes me as person, likes talking to me, but doesn't want relationship with me. I told him, listen, if you ever change your decision, you can contact me, we can work it out, and he got angry with me, because of what I said. We had a small conflict. He said he doesn't want being in relationship, because he doesn't want to explain where he goes, with whom and what time he comes back... I said ok then, I wanna move on and find someone better as I deserve the best only. Then he got angry and said he is single right now, but he doesn't know for how long... My fault is I got angry too and mentioned all the hurts, he made. He never apologized me. I wanted to set boundaries... Anyway, I'm not waiting for him anymore. It's extremely painful, but I deserve much better...

Well my ex did that for almost 1 year calling or writing me like every 1 or 2 weeks but just to tell me his problems and sometimes ask me for small help and asking me questions what's going on in my life. Everytime I still had hope that he finally see what he lost and will try to fight for me but instead he told me that he pregnant another woman 3 months after he broke up. I finally blocked him because everytime I see him contacting me I feel angry, hurt and sad because he just see me like a fool after I sacrificed a lot for us before. Even tho he was the love of my life and he hurted me the most, I can't continue like that and better love him from far away.

For two weeks in a row my ex (father of my children) has told me he’s breaking up with his gf of 3 months because he wanted to work things out. Both times he lied and didn’t break up with her. I don’t know what’s wrong with him, or why he’s doing this. He never does what he says he’s going to do and he never keeps his word. I’ve finally cut him off and stopped believing his lies and mixed messages. Then I watched your “Second Chances” video and realized he’s exactly that man, no integrity, and now I don’t even care if we reconcile or not anymore.

Is his grief even the main problem of this relationship? He was triggered into breaking up with her by his losses. But he didn't seem to be in the relationship before, questioned his commitment and passively and grudgingly accepted her care and support without giving much back. Avoidants basically need a primary caregiver instead of a partner and she may be best advised to engage with the workbooks or other forms of therapy to see herself as a desirable person who deserves a partner, not a project.

Admittedly I did this weekly text thing for about a month after the breakup. Which she said I broke up with her, but I didnt see it that way. However if that’s how she saw it, I still tried to fix it so we could work on it. Finally got the leave me alone or block me after that month of checking back. Which is fine, just do the workbooks, get some help, move forward. Wish you all the best

The ex narc will not leave me alone we've broke up 5 years plus. He will not get it through his head that I want nothing to do with him. He was a liar, a druggie, ungrateful and disrespectful. He said that I didn't do nothing for him that he can't do for himself. All the things I've done to help him get on his feet. So when I took him back to his brother's house and gave him the two fingers deuces. He will not go away. Last time I heard he was homeless living from pillow to post I don't know. Not my circus not my monkey. But he text me last month from a different number. Asking why I don't call him and he wanted to see me if possible. I'm like what new drugs is he on?? Why won't he go away? It's been years.

Coaches, I've watching your videos and am in "No contact" now for the forth week - it is so hard not to reach out for closure because in my mind that's what I need (good or bad). Anyway, it seems that most all of your videos are geared to fights... we never fought, in fact in my opinion we had just experienced our best weekend ever and then nothing, I've been told they are ghosting me... why? Nothing was wrong, we are in our 50's, not young adults. It upsets me that a person can just ignore me without any feelings whatsoever, on the other hand if they don't know what they're doing to me then it's just as upsetting - either way I feel that I loose. If they reach out after a period of however long by that point I'll be mad. Whatcha think? :(

Ok, I set boundaries and I have realized how sick is my ex. 2 months of texting after the breakup, he bought gifts for my birthday and Christmas. But he just wanted to keep chatting and no commitment. I told him, if he ever changes his mind, he can text me and we can work it out. He got angry at me. Set boundaries, but don't mention about relationship or working out. He said, he just wanted to be nice by texting me. That was unfair to me. Today we had a conflict. He told me a lot of horrible things. He has never loved me. 3 times during the relationship he said: if i find someone better than you, i will let you know. I cried that time. He explained the reason he said that was because his previous ex cheated on him, so it's better if he is honest towards me instead on being in relationship and cheating. It has never been seriously relationship. It was his kind of revenge on me, just because I'm a woman. Moreover, he used emotional blackmailing on me, because I didn't want to give him money. It was 1st month of relationship and he asked for some money, I didn't know, if I can trust. I gave him this money, but he said he should have left me that time. He blamed me for everything. He said he did nothing wrong to me. He wanted to break up, when I went out with colleagues and didn't text him for whole night. He said he wanted mature girl, not stupid like me. But on the other hand he said he broke up with me, because he doesn't want to explain where he goes, why, with whom. I have never met such cruel liar who has been playing with me and my parents, but never loved me. That's the reason he dumped me and no Coach would help. I'm unlucky I've met such extremely toxic person.

My exact has been doing exactly that. 9 year relationship. They still wanted to live and share the same bed together. I kicked them out of the house just so I could start NC. They have been reaching out every 2 weeks with just memes and jokes like nothing happened. For 6 months now. And I've just been doing what was suggested matching their energy not getting emotional. They send a meme I send back lol they ask how I am I say good hhow are you? But nothing has come of it. I don't know if it's breadcruming or not.

Just tell them you need space. They need to experience the breakup. Texting and receiving text from you help ease their anxiety. Tell them you need space and they need to respect your decision as well

@@rwentfordable I am up to 12 months of no contact now, and no I didnt hear anything from him. But he showed a lot of signs that he still misses me, struggles with the breakup and I know (from an acquaintance) that his live isnt going well.

He recently started texting me and then blocking me weekly and then texts me again because he knows I'm the one who ruined the relationship and he has rights to hurt me like I did him, even when I told him I changed and I'm not sure what to do

got dumped after 12 years/engagement for my mistakes, should I ever reach out again (not soon)? I would like to reconcile with her and see if she would want to walk and talk and possibly work on the issues, I hurt her pretty bad but we have so much compatibility and chemistry, I was just in a dark place. is there anything I can do? been working on myself every day, therapy on Wednesdays, lifting. 3 weeks into NC.
