Know the facts before promoting this event as like the IDF went to kill people just for fun. And yes the Israeli government thought to banned this movie from showing on Israeli theaters because it showed the terrorists as heroes and showed the IDF soldiers as criminals. Especially when most of the movie was financed by the Israeli government.

You say 50 terrorists were killed? It sounds sadly like you believe that all Palestinians are terrorists. [Independent groups counted 52 Palestinian deaths, around half of which were civilians. Even Israel counted 14 civilian deaths.] Anyway, apart from the deaths of civilians, there were also many injuries, widespread destruction of homes, and obviously trauma and despair, for which multiple groups have justifiably accused Israel of war crimes. Remember as well the context of the camp- these Palestinians in the Jenin refugee camp are there because they were driven from their homes by Israel. They have been living for decades under Israeli military occupation, oppression and brutality.

The hypocrisy is absolutely through the roof. Ayelet Shaked literally said that the enemy of Israel was not specifically any Palestinian terrorist group or governmental body in particular, but the entire Palestinian people as a whole and normalized the idea of killing every last woman and child who she referred to as "snakes". She said that it was the Palestinian people as whole that caused every problem in the conflict, so therefore they deserve to be destroyed. But yet the Knesset is totally fine with her being in their legislature. Quite a double-standard when it comes to defamation in Israeli politics. Also, the Knesset has no evidence that the film is slander or false. Numerous human rights organizations accuse Israel of war crimes during the Battle of Jenin, some things as horrific as bulldozing Palestinian homes while residents were inside and blocking medical aid. So there is more evidence to the contrary, at least so far, until the Knesset itself can prove that these allegations are false. Until then, they can't dismiss it as baseless slander. Not knowing much about the film, but based on that it is from a Palestinian perspective, yes there is a chance that it may lack nuance and the Israeli side of the story. But being biased is not an abuse of free speech, especially when considering that the Knesset is fine with the fact that Israeli universities are restricting criticism of Israel's occupation of the West Bank.
