Stratton also cites an interview by Howard Cosell in which Ali explained that rather than toying with Patterson, he refrained from knocking him out after it became apparent Patterson was injured. Patterson himself later said that he'd never been hit by punches as soft as Ali's. Stratton states that Ali arranged the second fight, in 1972, with the financially struggling Patterson to help the former champion earn enough money to pay a debt to the IRS.[26]

Jiving is a term used by, so called, white people. Black people do not use it, and don't call the way they talk jive. Terms like right on, jive turkey, which means some is a clown, mo better, and the like serve the same purpose as the terms that you use to convey thoughts and ideas that would take a paragraphs to express, and condense them into just a few words or phrases. IE, double entendre, canard, etc. You Caucasians call it jive to portray it as some low level of communication, but you have little or no understanding of it. However, you jump on it and incorporate it into vocabulary in an attempt to sound hip, or cool, but you completely miss the mark. It is not just some stupid " JIVE" as you call it. Use your word hype for it, and you will hit the mark. Ali told you what the purpose was for him trash talking, but you immediately blurted out jive. He constantly played you like a drum, and sold out his fights. Frazier, Foreman, Norton, and Sphinx all knew what was going on, and played along with it in order to increase the purse..

Maxx Mabemwe You seem to be pretty sure of yourself that he’s Caucasian, to be talking down to him like that and all, but that’s not where your problem begins. Say Sean was caucasian, say he was a supposed “white man”, what difference does it make? He didn’t insult African Americans, he didn’t knock them down and degrade them, and he certainly didn’t insult Ali. But I suppose you thought you saw an opportunity to defend the entire African American race from the horrendous word “jive.” It Didn’t matter if Sean was aware that you found it offensive, because everyone Knows slang of all kinds can be traced back to African Americans! And because one Caucasian man says that particular word, it undermines all African American history! That was sarcasm by the way, though Im uncertain if your massive intellectual ego allowed you to interpret it as so. In other words, you’re reading too much into one simple comment, and though you probably don’t want to admit it, your comment reveals more about your own prejudices than it does about whites. You can tell they like each other deep down... Like two brothers who took different paths in life meeting each other again at a family BBQ

People want to claim Ali and Malcolm X, cause they were great men, but act like b n Muslim didnt play a role in that greatness; maybe instead of b n dismissive, you should study Islam for yourself.
