Awesome content and very thorough. I just picked up a 2017 340i and I'm thinking about the pure 800, I would like to be right around 550-600whp. It seems difficult to find a stage two high pressure fuel pump right now everyone seems to be sold out. So I’m so confused why when I look at the power number that the dorch hpfp gives you an it show it creates less hp with E85 than it does gasoline it makes no since please can someone answer that for me please I’m so confused? Why are they saying that when everybody knows you get more hp with E85

I got a big turbo but don’t have access to e85 only 93oct. I’m making about 19 pounds of boost and my tuner says we are maxing out the octane right now. Using a 6466 turbo and it starts making boost at probably 3,200 rpm and ramps up to the 19psi. Honestly pretty disappointed with this I feel like I made a mistake and should have just kept the stock turbo it felt a lot faster. Can anyone else relate at all?

Couldn't you also use a flex fuel sensor so that you can use any fuel depending on availability?

Flex fuel tuning isn't available for our cars yet. The sensor only reads the content, but we still need software that converts it into something that modifies your engine tuning on the fly

This was a good watch. Do you think it’s worth upgrading turbo if you only have access to 93 octane? I’m between that or ordering race gas and keeping stock turbo and just doing hpfp and running e30. What do you think would be the best route ?

Yes a bigger turbo will make more power on 93 than with stock turbo. But if you have e85 available then i always recommend that because there are so many benefits. Plus a hpfp is cheaper than a turbo + custom tune

Hey, I'm running e60 on custom tune. I noticed as the temps get cooler out the car takes longer and longer to start. My tuner is still trying to minimize this. Is this typical for B58 long crank on 1st start or after sitting 8 or more hours? 93 octane nearly starts right up maybe 2 cranks. I also run Supra plugs gapped to 0.25. Not sure if that mean anything. To be honest I think the MHD e40 map may start slightly quicker with e60 still in the tank sometimes.

@@kern417 I appreciate your help. It was really starting to bother me seeing I can't find any threads on this being an issue for B58 owners running high ethanol. I was starting to think something was wrong because my tuner adjusted the tables a few times already. He says there are several cold start or fueling tables for B58. So, is there any solution that your aware of other than less ethanol. Coming from N54, the issue was solved more simply.

You can run it on an OTS map for small gains but you'll need a custom tune to get the most out of it.

I am doing catless down pipes, back box removed, Mst intake, csf radiator and stage 2 map from bmw expert (EVOLVE IN UK) what sort of gains I will get and will these mod effect reliability as I will be using my m140i daily or you think jb4 with meth rather then stage 2
