You need to understand its not because of the skin colour of tourists but the curiousity they create among Indians. Its not everyday Indians get to see a pale Skinned person in the ocean of brown skin people. And also there's Hollywood which adds to that. Many Indians get somewhat similar treatment ex Soviet Countries. Not Selfie requests but admiration.

Thank you for being the sensible one, Ashwini. Majority of Indians get so offended when someone states the facts. As if the Lali or any other foreigner cannot see these things themselves. There is trash everywhere, people litter without thinking, they spit paan without thinking. These bad habits have to be unlearned, and new habits have to be adopted. It takes time. Also it is not secret to foreign when that India is extremely unsafe for women. Women diplomats from other countries have been raped, it is a fact. If people cannot believe this, nothing will change. There is a advisory warning on US governments travel website for American women when they travel to India; it specifically talks about safety.

Thank you London ki Lali, Mumbai ki Lali, Delhi ki Lali, Duniya ki Lali for a reply from you. I shall treasure it like an autograph from a famous lady who set about learning a complex yet simple language away from her mother tongue. It adds a certain charm just like when a school child learns a different language at school such as German or French, they sound very clever and command a lot of respect. So I applaud you, don’t give up and keep learning Hindi and exchange your mother tongue with others. Great you are watching movies and You tube to enhance your learning of Hindi. You are doing so well, practice in practical situations makes perfect. You just have to listen to yourself speaking Hindi.....it makes sense and sounds fascinating to the audience.I highly recommend you watch a tv channel shown in UK called Foodxp on 145. Food and drink is my passion and am complaining you did not order an extra Sev Puri to be washed down with an extra glass of sugar cane juice with “Ginger & Adrak” for me. Foodxp is a great cooking channel entirely narrated in Hindi where different famous chefs create regional Indian recipes, international cuisines and fusions and Street food. The act of them demonstrating their cooking skills combined with the Hindi commentaries that go with them will easily help your understanding of what they are saying and doing, hence giving you a further edge with your Hindi. Am sure you have already come across it before. I often watch it just so as I don’t have to drive to Ealing Road or Southall Broadway to just satisfy my craving for a typical Indian snack or dish by watching their presentation in Hinglish! Sorry to have gone on, but just had to have a chat with you again! Wish you all the very best in whatever you are doing and wherever you are journeying, Shukriya, keep well 🙏🙏🕉😘

true he is trying to show he is somewhat different from others. he expects india to be like west ignoring the fact that we were a colony and land of slaves just 70 yrs back. when all the west was busy looting colonies and making there infrastructure better there were crores of people dying of hunger in india..we started with 0 in 1947 only 17 percent or even less were educated, we had no food to eat we were being exported wheat from america that was meant for pigs, we hardly had a big industry , infrastructure, or for that matter we had nothing...starting from there we are now worlds 6th biggest economy, 75 percent of our population is educated and 25 percent are not, our life expectancy has increased drastically , and people are getting educated and aware of things. this guy is comparing countries with 1/4 or less of population then india with india after all the shit that we have been through. how big is uk or for that matter how diverse is UK in comparison to india? he should read about 17th and 18th century West even they faced these problems while growing of uneducated people , littered streets, people living in slums under disgusting conditions, there was no infrastructure there too, if he wants to compare the situation he should compare it with west of that time period..
