The father's side everyone was a zamindar in Bengal and my grandfather was very young at that time it was around 1938-39 a young British government officer used to come to my grandfather's Father for taking Bengali tuitions....he used to narrate this story all the time.....ur blog reminded me of that story.....in my father's paternal home we have lot's of gifts from Britain and some various precious old cultural gifts which people ur generation might not remember..... If I go there someday I will show some of the things of Britain from 18th century to 19 th century
