I always figured he knew Anakin wouldn't listen to him. Anything he could have said would have been dismissed as a lie by Anakin.

I think Dooku even being betrayed by Palpatine still maintained loyalty and wanted to die a noble death in some way to the Sith. If he was gonna die, he was gonna do it with some form of dignity. And that falls in line with Christopher Lee making sure Dooku didn’t beg for his life or anything like that. Also, I think Dooku despised the Jedi so much and thought they would get what was coming to him so he just decided to stay silent. Anakin wouldn’t believe Dooku as well but I do think Ani would’ve thought about it even after killing Dooku and it could’ve influenced him to turn against Palpatine a bit more.

Or, if Dooku made a good enoigh argument before Anakin decides to kill him and give him a said that he knew he was married to Amidala and that he knew of his mother than it might have had enough of a effect on him

It makes sense. I felt that Dooku didn't really have time to process what was happening before Anakin killed him. He might have been able to drop a hint, call out "Master!", but I'm not sure it would have registered with Anakin, as I think he was slightly in shock as well.

Dooku ultimately forgot the number one thing about the Sith they always betrayed one another for higher power or for a grander scheme of things

Another classic move of the chess semester. Dooku was that blinded by Sidious and his promises for creating an order of Sith that he lost focus of his former master’s true intentions. He was just a pawn in a chessboard.

I always thought Dooku stuck to the code and wasn’t a snitch when I saw the movie. But after reading the novelization of the movie for a class in college, this is where I learned that the movies often leave out key details that would add more context to a scene. This is why there are senseless debates between those who only have watched the movies, and those who have seen the movies AND read the novels.

Even if Dooku exposed Palpatine as Darth Sidious, he knew that Anakin will not believe him. Anakin didn't believe Commander Fives either when he tried to warn him that Palpatine is plotting to kill all of the Jedi by turning the clone armies against them.

So he was shocked. It makes sense. Dooku just realized he has been a fool for years and all these victories were to built up anakin to be the next apprentice and basically the whole thing might have lasted less than a minute so dooku couldn't gather his thoughts fast enough to say something. Which was why palpantine wanted anakin to kill him quickly to avoid exposure amongst other things.

He literally told Obi-Wan that Palpatine was the Sith Lord in AotC. He knows.

Sidious and Tyrannus met together in person at the end of AOTC and discussed the plan being successful.

Darth Tyranus could've answered to Darth Sidious's betrayal with a little betrayal of his own. In fact I think he should've prepared himself for such an eventuality, with him knowing the ways of the Sith and Sidious's personal history of betrayal. "Wait please, just let me say one thing and then kill me if you want. Palpatine is Darth Sidious, my Sith master, the man behind both sides of the war. He plans to try manipulating you, probably using your wife Senator Amidala. He also plans on killing all the Jedi but you using the clones y'all fight with. You may now kill me, I am a man of my word. However, if you want, you may present me to the High Council and I'll prove it beyond any possible doubt." I'm sure he could've be summarized this even further. In any case, whilst having lost his hands, Dooku still had his voice to pay back Sidious for using him for years only to betray at the bitter end. It'd've been the Sith thing to do, as opposed to giving up that is.

Look at how Lucas's Sith Lords meet their END! Was Dooku's END any different? Darth Maul is cut in half by OB1 Wan Kenobi, Maul SURVIVES" and OB1 Kenobi kills him in the END! Lord Vader is stripped of his limbs by OB1 Wan Kenobi and left to burn on Mustaphar, if Palpatine didn't save him -Vader would've died on Mustaphar! "HEY" BIG UP to Palpatine! Of course" Palpatine's END may have been the worst, -thrown down a gargantuan ventilation shaft ! The man was "SO" ENRAGED from betrayal that he exploded in the abyss, A gruesome defeat handed him by Darth Vader himself ! I guess you could say" Palpatine went out in a BIG BANG !! Actually" i think Count Dooku had it EASY ! Maul had to suffer Asajj Ventress's jokes about being half the man he was ! Darth Vader/Anakin can feel 0ld Ben's thoughts about him being more machine than man ! Palpatine had clones of himself on Exogol, he knew judgment DAY is coming for him !🌈🤓

I didn’t know they made a book of revenge of the sith. I thought it was just in the movie, but the book does sound more into detail. I feel bad for Dooku now, after everything he had done while in his Jedi years. He died at the hands of Sidious new apprentice, as though his master didn’t even show a second thought of him.

Even if Anakin had not have killed Dooku. He would have been arrested, put on trial by the Galactic Empire and probably received the death penalty for his crimes.
