I know at this point Yoda was much past his prime, but he was practically at the same level as Sidious. I could understand if some people would say Yoda was just a little weaker than Sidious, but nevertheless, this makes me wonder how powerful Yoda was truly at his prime. I hope someday we could get a series covering Yoda in his younger years and the trials and tribulations he had to face to become the grandmaster of the Jedi.

Idk how u mean prime exactly but one of yoda's advantages is he grows stronger and wiser with more time, despite occasionaly doubting himself for his old age

Yoda was up against a timer and all Sidious had to do was keep the stalemate going until the clone troopers arrived. Yoda ran out of time and had to retreat. He decided to play the long game, just like the Sith did. 🤔

See now If The Jedi order during the clone wars Had more of an active, hands on , adaptable & righteously aggressive defender of the light side of the force as the grandmaster THEN IT COULD HAVE SURVIVED AGAINST PALPATINES SCHEMES 🤦🏾‍♂️. Yoda is to weak for this role. He got lazy, complacent & only toke up arms against the sith when it was too late.

On this issue I believe that Yoda's, and by extension the Jedi Order dogmatic views were what help contribute to Anakins fall to the dark side. I believe that Anakin needed a well grounded, but more free spirited Master. Yoda failed to allow the Jedi Order to grow and change. The same lessons he learned from when he was a Jedi Knight he kept teaching when he became The Grand Master. Anakin needed the Order or more specifically the teachings of the Order to change and be more accepting of him and who he was in order for him to be at peace. Anakin needed rules but he also needed to feel like he had people he could open up to and not receive judgement from.

I dont think sidious was stronger than yoda if you look at it from yodas pov palpatine is high in the senate chamber both of them have lost their lightsabers and an army of clones were coming it was a draw yoda didnt really have any other options

Yoda was equal but honestly his lightsaber movement and strikes were more on Yoda's side till he fell and sidious didnt due to opposable thumbs the one time being human matters

Of course he could've stomp the chomp very easily, he's THE O.G. GREEN LEGION JEDI MASTA KILLA, potentially he might've been able to but a lot of his lifetime was wasted on Jedi Council Bureaucracy BS so he lacked the pressure needed in his life to polish his diamond and cut through life's toughest even though though >.>

I always thought that the reason Yoda did not beat Palpatine while Mace did because Mace used the dark side in his fighting. In terms of raw power, Yoda is more powerful than Palpatine because he has more experience whereas Palpatine used the dark side and there is nothing holding you back when you use darkness so this leads me to wonder, is the dark side of the force more powerful than the light side? Can you make a video about that?

To my understanding, dark side and light side are arbitrary. Force is the same. It's the way a user draws power from the force makes the difference. While light side users uses positive emotions, dark side users rely on negative emotions to draw power. That's why hate can amplify a sith lords power. In the end, it depends on the user and his ability. Dark lords like Anakin and Dooku were pretty powerful with the force even before they become Sith. I guess Palpatine too. Having devoted to Sith ways for 100s of years then boosted hai s abilities on par with Yoda.

Mace did not use the dark side. Vapaad reflected the opponents dark side back at them, not the Jedi's. The jedi who used vapaad had to be completely cemented in the light as their body became a conduit to reflect it back

For the dark side is not bothered with boundaries, when the light one is full of them, not by itself, but because the Jedi order put them (the severed emotional ties from infant age coming first in my mind), a pure Jedi could not, at that time, beat a Sith. A grey or dark Jedi, who is not fully committed to the dark side or just do have their own boundaries instead of the Jedi order's ones, might stand a bit of a chance

As Yoda already PUT DOWN any possible nearby assistance Sidious could call upon ! AND" LIKE A TRAPPED ANIMAL -SIDIOUS IS FORCED TO FIGHT TO SURVIVE!! Pushing himself to his limit against Yoda, having already been taxed by Mace Windu and three Jedi Masters "earlier" !! LUCKILY" Anakin Skywalker assisted him against Mace Windu, or" Sidious wouldn't have the strenth to hold-off Yoda !! And" what remained of Sidious's strenth after Mace Windu -is all Sidious had left !! Darth Sidious had never been pushed to fight for his life before (untill NOW) !! A TRAPPED AND DESPERATE ANIMAL Sidious has become (THERE'LL BE NO GLOATING THIS TIME) !! The impact of their attacks thrown both of them back, but" by now -Yoda realized" others will arrive to assist Palpatine, and Yoda is alone. "Stop Palpatine, another will achieve" Yoda thought to himself.🌈🤓
