the correct interpretation of the Genesis passage is that man is to have dominion over the earth WITH God so that man and earth both flourish. It was never God’s intent that man should destroy the earth. It is only since man sinned and stopped walking with God as designed that man’s plans for the earth became self centered and destructive. So it’s not the biblical text that is wrong, nor God’s directive to man, but it is man’s fallen state of sin that is the problem and severed his connection with the Creator of the universe. No matter what governance you put in place, it will not solve the problem of the heart. Also, why is the bible the only referenced text? seems like all the blame is being laid at the feet of the bible. it’s dishonest to do that.
