Absolutely Loved EJLS! I was literally hoping and praying that you guys review it and I'm so excited. Like you guys said, it was the same old love story but the treatment and the way it was told, such a breath of fresh air. I was expecting it to be completely about Fake profile, but it turned out to be such a wholesome series. Beautiful message in each arc. Tanzil was my favorite too. He was so pure. Absolutely loved Shazia and Tanzil. Also, they were no vicious-negative characters. They were so real and flawed that everyone could relate to them. Salma was such a cutie. Gosh, I wanted to protect her. Same with Sohail. I like how they were respectful, but when it came to irritation, it was shown so beautifully. Madiha is so underrated, I hope she gets her dues after this. I agree there weren't many scenes of romance between Sohail and Salma. I wish they had shown them falling in love more. Loved the way the messages sent through each sister's life, especially Shabana's The highlight of all that we criticize others for being hypocrite, but don't see our own. The girl with Salahuddin was good as well, and Salma's best friend was really good too. Again there was another subtle message I think with Natalia and Noefel. We never got to know what actually happened who was in the wrong because they each presented their side as "good" and the rest was "He said, she said." As the way, it is in our lives.

We have watched "Ek jhooti love story" as a family and we thoroughly enjoyed watching all the episodes back to back. I am a well wisher of our Pakistani entertaimment industry so any out of the box experiment leaves a pleasant impression on me. This one had level headed performances which were close to natural. Also what intrigued me most were the original natural looks for everyone....No added accessories, extra make up and salon done hair. Beo Zafar was a sheer joy to watch....The way Mehreen executed it was delicious and extremely significant messages were communicated in a light hearted subtle way. It didnt rest on being preachy and OTT neither did the script prolong. There were hardly any flashbacks or slo mo scenes which bring down the mood. Thats the beauty of Mehreen Jabbar who knows her craft way too well and brings out the best in terms of performances and cinematic effects....I am a huge fan of her plays like "Daam", "Jackson Heights", "Mera Naam Yousaf Hai" etc. A big round of applause for Umera Ahmed for bringing out this beauty....Its a completely different face of her writing that we are witnessing. Well done Madiha, Bilal, Kiran, Srha, Hina jee, Beo jee and Ahmed saab. Fawad Khan had been the star of the show along with his beloved :) Furqan was amazing too....MA so much talent we have. Its just a matter of providing awesome opportunities and functional platforms...Bravo :)

I laughed and cried and laughed some more while watching Aik Jhooti Love Story. Amna is right, Bilal and Madeeha are a natural. The role they played oozed out of them like honey out of a bottle. Steady and consistent and absolutely believable. It was beautiful to watch. I’m so happy to have seen this story. I wish this could’ve been shown on regular TV.

Innocence of Madhiha has won me over Ek Joothi Love Story ! She was so so natural ! Makers wins out when by end of series you just don't root for leads but also wants to see closure of each character. Her elder sister choosing cousin brother or father finally opening up General store were the moments to watch out for ! How well everything , every character was written and enacted.

Because of you guys, I binge watched Ek Jhooti love story and I absolutely loved it. I'm from India, and every little scene, dialogues, shops, masle-misail could have easily been set up here and it still look the same, it's uncanny how similar the middle classes are. Bilal's room had posters of sholay, salman khan and this tiny detail like he wore the same bracelet as salman khan made him a boy next door. The mothers were so lovely and funny. The writing was excellent. What I really really loved was how Shabana doesn't end up with anybody and soars high in academic pursuit, which was very refreshing for a protagonist. Shaadi hi to koi mukammal cheez nahi, aur khwahishat bhi hoti h duniya mei poori karne layak!

These days it's sort of hard to find content that canbe watched with entire family. Some amazing well made shows are either bit sexual or too gawryfor parents to enjoy, some verh typical dramas are hard to digest for us youngsters, even with good dramas it's either my brother would not like it or sometimes I dont enjoy. And finally here we have ek jhooti live story. For 3 days every night after dinner all of us sat together and watched all the episodes and thoroughly enjoyed it. My mom who is an early sleeper, was up till 1am to watch the last episode. And Beo Zafar ji OHMYGOD I mean here dialogues and the things that her character addressed, I nudged my mom so many times because she says the same things to my father 😂😂😂 Absolute treat and yes after Nusrat Jehan, Tanzeel is a favourite. Usually I don't cheer for these pyar me piche pade ladke but the way Tanzeel is shown, it's not creepy it's not irritating and his genuine love shines through. He supports his love and doesn't just want to get her. I wish more male characters are written like him. P.s. one of the best part was the procedure of divorce, unlike recent dramas they didn't just show him say talak I am glad a documented legal procedure was shown

Exceptional drama,storytelling ,acting and dialogue delivery. From the trailer i thought that it would be incredibly funny but it wasn’t and that disappoint me at all.it dealt with societal issues with so much satire and ease ,really made me reflect and empathize with each character. I thought it would be a desi remake of ‘shop around the corner/you’ve got mail’ but only the superficial idea was inspired from it, rest all the issues that were tackled were from our society . I really wish it was available for masses, so they could also witness such amazing storytelling and acting unlike what’s going on pakistani tv these days (which is a sore for the eyes,to say the least)! Left me wanting for more. We need such more content!

I watched it the very first day it came out. Absolutely loved it. Ammi ( Beo) sahiba was limelight,she completely stole the show. Bilal and Madiha were perfect in their roles as how couples in an arranged marriage try to live together. Agree with Hassan that it was a subtle story and u had to go with the flow. Honestly speaking I binged watch EJLS after knowing it from your previous shows. Zee5 has underplayed this web series in India may be being politically correct. Zee5 is property of Zee group which is on extreme Right of Political spectrum, supporting Fascist forces like RSS and BJP. But since Zee5 have invested this series they have no choice but to release them ..Zee group is undergoing serious financial difficulties, almost on verge of being sold out. EJLS is a light-hearted well-executed story with excellent performances. let us hope such ventures are seen more often on OTT platforms , not just Zee5 but also Prime, Netflix etc ..EJLS deserves 4* out of 5*

Aik Jhooti Love Story is such a treat to watch. It's a simple story executed well by the characters, setting and good script. Two things are problematic through. We are so used to of watching fast paced action that it took me 6 episodes to get hooked on to it. Similarly, it's not comedy as we assumed because of the trailer. It deserves 9/10 for sure.

EKJLS was soooo relatable and perfect in every sense beautiful background score!! And have had enough of actors and writers claiming that the only scripts which will be relatable to audiences are ones in which women are being beaten up, or cheated on “it’s what the middle class women want to watch”. As if. This story was relatable to every member of my family, to the younger people who have all dealt with feeling insecure about themselves because someone was prettier on social media, embarrassing moments with parents, the struggle of finding an ideal partner in our society, uff I can’t say enough good things! I was a lot younger when the whole fam used to watch dramas together on weekends, dramas like daam and doraha, after a long time we watched a drama together and enjoyed it so much!!! Amazing writing Midway through my mother asks whose made it and I tell her Mehreen Jabbar directed it and she goes “yes it makes sense then”. The attention to detail 👌

I don't get it why some are against zee 5 running pakistani content and they r reluctant to subscribe because it is indian 🙄 they need to get that the project is commissioned it has even more budget than the daily tv dramas and u would've understood it by watching churrails and all the crew and cast have been paid on time and no grievances of such and above all this it's giving a sort of international platform for your dramas with wider audience and the platform setting a base for further projects for Netflix and after all its better marketing for your country because hate begets hate I know many people on both side have problems accepting each other but Pakistanis know us better through our movies and u know how Mumbai looks how is delhi different from Kolkata or UP but Indians don't know how ur country looks many of them have seen only negative images and dark sites and all because only 5% watches dramas and nobody watches ur movies so our differences can be solved if we get to know each other better and see how beautiful ur country is places like murree and ISbd and how good the people r like our hassan Aamna and many fellow viewer friends like SH is a family to me these are all baby steps by which peace can be achieved I feel tired of all these hate and propoganda wars. Something Haute raised voice against therapist and patient relationship, good ,but this is a human made law or whatever you called it ,ethics ... But but in Jalan they show a when sis in law trying to make relationship with her bro in law ,( which is against Allah Pak Law...) then you didn’t raise the voice to the extent ,that forced Jalan producer and writes to change the story line or atleast skip the scenes ( like how you forced Sabaat producer and writer to change the story line ) For Jalan you said creative liberty and aisa to hta hai , Aur ager pasand nahi hai to Na dakhu etc Why you didn’t say this at the time of Sabaat? K aisa to hta hai, patient doctor relationship hta hai ,pasand nahi hai to Na dakhu ..etc Waha to asmaan sar pa utha lya .. I agree with u completely! This show was very different from what I expected and it took me a while to get hooked to it but when I did, I couldn't stop watching it till I finished it! The way that all the characters' journeys r so individual and yet so beautifully interwoven together is truly commendable😍 These kind of dramas need to be made more on Pakistan!!

Next thing I watched after watching the last episode of Ek Jhooti Luv Story is your review. I was saving up this video for long. Frankly speaking after watching EJLS, other dramas are looking ordinary. Such a beautiful, oddly soothing and heart touching drama / web series it was. Light hearted, entertaining with a positive message, a very rare combination in this show. I agree with Hasan, loved the OST. Being a middle class Khiite, this drama is very very relatable for me. Streets of Karachi were looking amazing in this drama and the way they captured the life of a middle / lower middle class family is truly remarkable. I want to appreciate Umera Ahmed and Mehreen Jabbar for making nice and clean content for viewers like us who r not interested in anything vulgar or too bold. Enjoyed your review as always. Hope to see more content like EJLS.

Great messages, amazing characters, and what a fine job done by the entire cast! 💓 Also I must express my appreciation for the actors who played Shazia & Tanzeel. What great chemistry & acting! Specially Tanzeel's. What a natural. Would love to know more about these two, as I haven't seen any of their work.

Yknow when I watched the show, from the get go and right to the end I could TOTALLY feel what Madiha had said about choti in her interview with Amna (the bit where she gestures a bear hug and says she doesn’t know what to do with her she’s so cute and Kya horaha hai yeh iske sath)

I kind of felt that Salma & Sohail didn't choose each other or even tried to make it work initially, even when they were deciding to get divorced they didn't stop until their ideals got shattered. They should've accepted each other because of the inner beauty but not because they didn't find Nofil & Natalia attractive anymore. Same was the case with Shabana as she didn't choose Tanzeel ur Rehman initially. Here an unusual situation is shown about her getting the media attention & being in the same frame with the CM. In case that hasn't happened and she'd to wait enough to get married. In such circumstances most probably she would get married to Tanzeel not by choice but because she didn't get the Foreign suitor. The dramas should at least try to portray that one must choose a partner because of his/her worthy character & that too as a 1st priority & not because you didn't get any better.... that was a bit loose end.
