Hi all, In this video, I cover failed attempts to make electric cars in the early 1900s, wacky concept cars of the 60s and 70s, EV1, Hybrids, and of course Tesla, and why all of this is going to FAIL!!! Prove me Wrong!!

Evs are and will soon be universally seen as disposable items. As such., they need to be around a tenth of the price of a 'real' or traditional car that could at least in theory still be on the road in 60 years. There are many adverse issues regarding EVs but by far and away the greatest most intractable one is their inevitable and rapid depreciation. The only way to solve this is for them to be much cheaper than ICEV in the first place, not 30% more expensive. Especially Western car manufacturers started at the top end of the market when they should have started at the very bottom end of it. Who in their right mind, will want to 'invest' in a Porsche EV at £125,000 that loses 65% of its value after just 2 years? This is a depreciation of around £2.00 per mile on average. On the other hand, a car costing around £8,000 new can depreciate almost as quickly without scaring off the potential punters. If the owner gets 10 years out of the glorified milk float before they dump it, they may consider this good value for their money. However, the environmental costs of producing many millions of low-priced disposable cars will be catastrophic, to say the least. If our ruling elites seriously want to save this planet in any way whatsoever the use of any electrically charged fixed battery is a total NO, NO, and NO again. Is it beyond the witts of man to come up with an engine that lasts for a lifetime and does not emit either CO2 or anything else deemed bad for the environment? Of course not, indeed I have no doubt that they already know how to do this. Do you really believe we can't simply capture the CO2 before it leaves the exhaust pipe, how difficult or expensive could this be? EVs are not just a bad alternative they are the worst possible alternative in every possible respect.

Absolutely spot on. ICE engines are already a miracle, they have done so much to shape us and we shaped it to be the best it can possibly run. Evolution shows, new automobiles in recent years produce 1% of the emissions that new cars did in 1960. Modern engines are insanely reliable and clean burning. Why don't we invest in making them run cleaner and better? Because the ICE engine has always remained a workhouse on society for generations and will continue to rule. Many places, including the USA, Canada, and Europe, are increasingly growing conservative and are opposing these EV mandates. People are waking up, and it is only a matter of time before the tyrannical EVs get put back into their place where specific consumers purchase and own them, never the masses.

The GM story was fascinating, and so was California trying to tangle the auto makers up to fix their problems. I think the number of owners may go higher but cost and inconvenience is far from working for most drivers now.

Why automakers are jumping ship on the EV is that Toyota is working on an 80 to 90 mpg engine ... .. if Ice engines start to get 100 mpg hahah aggaag EV's are long gone

1 gallon of gass ia about 8 lbs, how does that make 19 lbs of carbon emissions? I'm sure it makes sense, but I don't know how? Anyone know?

I’m a grumpy old man who knows a little about cars from 25 years as an auto journalist. EVs are fine as religious devotional. Also they are fast and quiet. But there’s no free lunch. The grid cannot support a major charging infrastructure no matter how hard you pray. Guess who will pay for that? Build power plants all you like it’s the grid that’s the weak link. And power generation at scale depends on fossil fuels. Lithium is a devil’s bargain. A lithium battery fire is nearly impossible to extinguish. Not to mention hot enough to smelt steel. Range boasts are just BS in cold weather. Ask the man that owns one. Wanna get in line at a charging station behind 5 or 10 unoccupied cars each hogging the thing for 40 minutes? Hope you’re retired with nothing better to do. Charging points mark my words will soon earn the name since there will be no limit on how much they can charge you per juice up. Good ole supply and demand.

Engage safety squints, it's about to get angry pixie up in here. Another thing to mention is Elon not requiring engineers to sign a non disclosure agreement hence the rise of other boutique car companies.
