What Other Oil Can I USE.
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
Debbie Morales I hope I am understanding your question (if not, please let me know). In place of Baobab you could use any carrier oil you love. Avocado oil, Jojoba oil, or Argan Oil are all nice too, although it is a personal preference. It's so exciting to learn about Aromatherapy and how to use essential oils to keep yourself healthy! Do you know about our free class? If you would like to learn more, I invite you to join us for our free class - it's a self-paced class that is online so you can learn at your own pace whenever you have time. Our Introduction to Essential Oils class is a popular class at Aromahead Institute - such a great place to begin to build a foundation of knowledge with essential oils and aromatherapy. I love it! Thank you for sharing this video with us. How long can I keep a bottle with me? Do I need to keep it refrigerated?
@anastelline78 жыл бұрын
I got it, thanks!
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
Anastasia, you don't have to refrigerate this blend. This blend would be good for 1-2 years depending on how long you've had your essential oils.

Hi Andrea, Thankyou so much for your lovely recipes. In this video the formula seems high, you have 18 drops to 30ml. What would you suggest for a 10ml ? 2/2/2/1 drops ?
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
Yes, Brie Chilli, that would be fine (2/2/2/1) for a 10 ml roll-on bottle.
@vsharpe105 жыл бұрын
18 drops is just in range for 1oz with these oils. It depends on the oils. I've seen up to 22 in a 1oz. Just FYI 🤗💖

Hi Andrea! Thank you for the video. Is there a substitute oil for Elemi? Thank you!!
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
Frankincense and myrrh are common substitutes. You could simply leave the elemi out of the recipe and add a couple extra drops of the frankincense and myrrh, Carol Guimaraes.

I once saw a video clip for these roll ons as a gift but when I made it I used a 10ml bottle with jojoba and 3 drops lavender and 1 drop geranium. The scent was lovely but it didn't last long. Do you know what would help it last longer? Do I need to add alcohol and a base note? Would I be able to use three of my 10ml bottles for this recipe, or is the size important for its effectiveness? Thanks for this blend. I'm excited about my roll on blends again, especially coming into winter. Looking forward to trying this one. Haven't come across Elemi though, do you know of a suitable substitute? Thanks :).
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
K Manners, you could always leave the elemi out if you don't have it readily available and the blend would be just as effective. I might add more frankincense or myrrh to make up for those 3 drops of elemi. It is normal for natural scents (essential oils) to dissipate over time unlike synthetic fragrances. This particular blend will last a bit longer because the resin oils (frankincense, myrrh and elemi) are considered base notes and therefore they don't evaporate as quickly as other essential oils like the citrus ones. You could use three of your 10 ml roller bottles for this recipe. You could mix it into a glass measuring cup and then just pour the finished blend into each of the 3 roll-ons.

Hi Andrea, I noticed you're using a plastic roller baller. Is that ok? I was under the impression that glass bottle and metal roller were best for essential oils. What are the guidelines as to when we can use plastic and when it's absolutely crucial to use glass/metal? Thank you!
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
This is such a great question, Adele. When storing essential oils it is ideal to use glass bottles that are colored (amber, blue, green, etc) This helps to minimize light penetration that can increase oxidation rate. If you are making a blend in a carrier oil, non-reactive plastic is fine. So this recipe would be fine in the glass roller bottle with the plastic roller.

how many drops do you add to a 10ml if you're only using one essential oil?
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
5-7 drops would be the most I might add to 10 mls of carrier oil, Reba Robinson.

Hi Andrea I don't have Myrrh, even though I love it I found it a nightmare to work with. Any tips on how to make it easier to blend? What oil should I use instead? Thanks xxx
@kirstymacfarlane16207 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrea I'll get another bottle as I have plenty empty ones and do as you suggested, in the meantime I'll just make the blend, again, as you suggested! Thanks again 😊 😊 xx
@aromatherapyoils6 жыл бұрын
You could leave the myrrh out of this recipe and it would still be very therapeutic, Kirsty. Myrrh does have a tendency to crystalize around the top of the cap. I will often times pour my EO into a new bottle when it starts to build-up on the original bottle.

Ooh I need some baobab from Aromatics to try this. This is a little off topic, but my Myrrh turned solid. I am afraid to heat it up or if that means it has seen its day. It's about a year old. Any tips to get it flowing again or toss it? I would hate to do that, but if it's a goner, I dont' want to try and save it if it could irritate my skin. I want to try this with another carrier til I get some baobab for sure. I have all these oils to do it!

+Andrea Butje Thank you! I thought that was weird!

That is really strange, Heather. It will often crystalize around the top of the lid but I've never had one turn solid before.
