@@TruckCulture, you're welcome, I'm a retired trucker with 38 years doing UK/ Europe and I get fed up watching all these truck videos that sing the praises of the American built and trailers when the reality is that they are way behind in the technology department as far as British / European trucks and trailers are concerned.

@@parzivalgtc9916, what do you mean by " yet still better", if you are talking about American-built trucks, then you are having a laugh, European built trucks are technologically more advanced in every way, bigger, cleaner, more fuel-efficient engines, better braking systems(EBS), they carry more weight, Uk - 44 metric tonnes, Europe - 40 to 50 metric tonnes, whereas the USA - 36 metrics tonnes, that is just a few things that I can mention.

The old countries are mostly original which brings up the fact they have smaller roads, streets and places so most all vehicles in Europe and the old countries are sized down. Look at places like Italy and france they have such small roads and alleys the applications of smaller everything there is best. In America its spread out and bigger the opposite and out trucks lengths are alot 53' and they measure the trailer not both for length. As far as emissions and all that both countries will make adjustments as the governing bodies of the industry think needs but i will say especially in the safety category American cab over teucks are not safer that the Peterbilt long engine types we used mostly and crash test and accidents show that.

Long being retired but I do keep up to date on improvements. From what I have seen on KZbin videos I believe the European design is actually better and wished we would import them into Canada. For the B.C. market the higher HP and torque would be a benefit for our mountains. Only drove one European cab over and that was a MAN in the 1990's. I was impressed with the quietness of the motor and cab. My brother had a trucking company all his working life and I remember those old Kenworth CO and they were brutal. But then all trucks were torture chambers in the 50's and 60's.

In that case, Canada might be interested in the Swedish truck manufacturers: Scania and Volvo. They are the only manufacturers that still offer ≥700 hp engines. Although, Mercedes-Benz, MAN and Renaut could be considered for their ≥600 hp engines.

I prefer the look of American trucks and their in build facilities for the driver are superior. Have only driven for just under a year but UK cab overs definitely have the advantage in manoeuvrability and visibility but the cabs are very bouncy on poorly maintained roads.

Europe has no Cab Over Trucks, they have what's called a Cab Forward design. The Driver enters the cab 'forward' of the steer axis. A Cab Over design has the Driver entering the cab from behind the steer axis. An example of a Cab Over Truck would be the Kenworth K100. An example of a Cab Forward would be the International 9700. The basic cab design is called a 'Cab Over Engine' also called COE. To distinguish the cab style, the mfr's. relates to the Drivers egress of the cab.

The USA EPA 2010 NOx limits for heavy duty over-the-road diesels are much tougher than the European emission standards. Both DAF of Paccar and Daimler of Detroit Diesel make use of emission technology from Cummins. Volvo D13 has a bad reputation for having sensor and wiring harness issues after 200,000 miles that take it off the road. This wiring harness and sensors are due to trying to meet USA emission standards. The Volvo also has poor fuel millage likely due to its less highly developed emission control systems. The Paccar MX engines are unreliable for more than just emission controls and after 200,000 miles is considered a nightmare. On the bright side the MX engine does get good fuel millage.

All I have to say for the future is hopefully. We don't Settle for another probwe can afford.. I would say there is a person in the US. That design made a workable prothe type. Invention that you could run your car or truck or boat or train. Many useful applications with current applications. That runs off of water. And it works. Politics greed. And pretty much step on people's toes that are holding us back. We can have more options instead of one.. Instead of settling for electric cars, we will have options and we won't have to Retool the industry in order for it to won people. Peoples vehicles, we already have everything we need. Just change a couple parts and where the contain the water. And turn the ignition on Or turn the key and there's your zero emissions. Is stan meyer. Is his name hes no longer with us due to some unfortunate circumstances. Remember the toes stepping on, yeah, those people. And now supposedly somebody and London has. London has the rights to this invention. But he was told not to Manufacture these parts. Or i'm guessing he will probably get the same meeting ask them as stand myers.. And you wonder why we're in the c***We're in by listening to the jackasses that want us to drive electric cars so they can Control Us. Why can't we just get rid of these people? And put an end to this stupidity and actually used the technology we already have, I just mentioned one. It makes no sense complaining about what we are currently have and not exploit any other opportunities. Other than electric cars or vehicles.. Again zero admissions regular tap water. It don't get any simpler than this. And I believe he did mention it. One of videos that this invention can be approved upon..to Not humor the naysayers. Oh, you're going to get water. And it's gonna mix with oil, and it's gonna no silly. It turns into gas instantly. That's what it was designed for. And who knew the coil packs? And the Ignition system has enough voltage for To be relevant. This is a technology we don't have to go to other countries to get it. And it would be a great asset to areas that flood a lot. Another useful part that would Benefit And aside from that Is low cost . Or free depending on how you look at it. Or where you gedit and it is not a Not a joke. Rainwater snow seawagetting the picture. And it all runs off a twelve volt system. Using the cars that you already are driving even older vehicles as well. Would there be a need for electric cars? It's a good idea to have more options I think.. Instead of settling for whatever. And this is an american invention but it's right is in Britain So so the question is, can we get the resources to make these parts? And it won't cost an arm and a leg and possibly a testicle to get it right around 15 to 2500. Is what it would cost to? By the part and probably another $1000 for labor. Or would you really want to spend anywhere? From $ Fifty thousand or two hundred thousand for an electric car. And all you're doing is Removing a couple parts Install the new parts impossibly and possibly tuning might be required. Because of hydrogen. And this way, people would have more of a choiyes instead of settling for. What they want for us. Now we would have 3 choices, not just one. Just something to think about people just something to think about. And it accomplishes the same goals. Who knew away I did. Or I should say Stand did.

@@agibosanac6343 You don't know anything about trucks, do you? it shows a lot. Mainly since you don't know how the industry works, if so you wouldn't say such crap. Daf within paccar is the first brand, two steps below in terms of quality are kenworth and Peterbilt, it is something that even the managers of paccar themselves have said on various occasions, even cummins has an exclusive 660hp engine only for daf in australia , the cummins X15D (d from daf) the rest of the brands have to settle for the conventional x15. It really is better not to speak so as not to look ridiculous, Stark is completely right. The trucks of all groups are developed in Europe and when that development is obsolete it is used in the new models of the Americans and please a peterbilt and a cat engine look ridiculous next to a scania.

My is still running with 1 681000 miles or 2 703000 kilometers on it. Kenworth and Peterbilt still longer on the road than any European truck even that we know roads are better in Europe than in USA. Maybe you also spend 20 yrs driving semi and you have all this knowledge. Driver don't care what president says of Paccar he is sitting in the office not behind wheel of semi. Non of them didn't even drive 100 miles in the truck to begin with. CAT C-15 💪 King everything else is in the dust. Detroit 2nd also better than Cummins.
