Never used to be a plex vault. When I last played in 2015 plex was a physical item that you had no choice to move to where you wanted to sell it. Was a billion isk almost per plex. Things are very different now. Plus skins? They have zero baring on the game play. If you're spending isk/plex on skins then you're doing it wrong.

Sadly, you had to run the gauntlet to go get it to sell where you wanted to sell it. In my case, buy in Jita but sell in pure blind as you got far more isk if you sell in in null at the time.

We had a kid that was in collage who played with this mentality. $100 a month for EVE was cheaper then going out and no hangover. When he ran out of isk he'd stop playing for the month. And we never saw him during midterms or finals.

Russian players are also unable to pay for the game with their credit/debit cards due to being taken off the SWIFT network due to the war in Ukraine, as part of sanctions against Russia So their only option to keep their accounts subscribed is using PLEX So that's another pressure as well

there is a way, there are codes for both PLEX and omega time. They are a bit more expensive than if you bought directly from CCP, but not too bad, and there are Russia based websites that sell them

i 100% agree for paying for omega with actual irl cash last Christmas there was a 20% plex sale with a 25% omega discount in the ingame store so i got a $450 bundle thats will cover me over the next 5 years (i only play the game with a single account, doing this for 3 accounts or more would be questionable)

I do a mix of plexing, paying RL cash, and alpha time; depending on sales, events, and what I do IRL. Surprizingly, one can have quite some fun when alpha imo. The downside is you don't skill up, but you don't have to bother about getting the most from your paid time.

I Omega my account from earning ISK. It gives me something to work towards, otherwise what is the point of making money. Buying an expensive ship then dying to gate camps or a high sec gank? Making money is the whole point in playing the game. If you just pay for everything with plex, then you're just skipping to the end. Im a wormholer. Making money really isn't a problem.

as I just use one Omega account this doesnt really affect me much, I wouldnt pay again for an eve sub with real cash personally, but I would encourage anyone new to do so, so they dont feel like their getting a second part time job. on another note, this is exterting exteniuos pressure on multiboxers, so more multi boxers are gonna be busy with obtanining isk rather than risking it in pvp. so when plex is high, SOLO to small fights are more prevalent. (which I freaking adore, who likes losing their small corp null roam to 1 guy on 12 accounts all in Proteus drone ships?) Small corps and solo fighters, gather and shed some blood, people are busy playing eve as a job :D

I just lost omega on my toon, have been playing Eve about 6 months, and always plexed with ISK. My main risk generator, was huffing gas, but then equinox came, and made the time investment quite a bit higher, so substituted some null exploration in here and there to make up for it, from the data & relic sites, with the occasional HS PVE trip in my moa, but with current prizes If I wish to plex my account, I'd have to spend about 3-5 hours huffing gas, depending on traffic, which depending on the day is between 50-100% of the time I have available, hence my now alpha toon. But, this has sparked an interest to make a new toon, that I will use as a way of taking on arguably one of the hardest solo challenges I could think of and use it for making some dank Eve content. o7, from Denmark

I just came back after a very long break and "free to play" wasn't even an option back when I last played, so I'm perfectly used to paying for a sub now. I came back just in time to cash in on this Plex boom. I may or may not have several billion ISK, so I don't even need to grind to pay for anything for a nice, long while. I do notice Plex is trending downward a little now. I guess all the Goon supercap pilots are done resubbing.

Id go with Oz on this one, CCP was trying to get plex to around 5mil, there's just to many sales and good things in store recently and recent sales of plex did not manage to get it down, so there will be more omega and plex sales coming to get the plex prices down, it will take a bit of time for it to drop miningfully though...

Ok what abt us who cannot afford omega for various reasons weather it being cost of living, low paying jobs, or other reasons. What would you recommend for those who have no real other choice then grind out isk to be able to afford the plex for omega. Also yeah inflation is getting up there its like bitcoin kinda I feel like its gonna hit a frenzy state where itll skyrocket and then start dropping in price again to maybe not a reasonable amount but to a amount where people will grudgingly pay for. Another guess is plex prices will get so high that some people who have a decent amount of spare income will end up flooding the market with it to make much much more then what plex prices should be, causing a market crash for plex that will eventually rise up to regular prices again which could take awhile to do so depending on how saturated the market could become. i sold my about 22k+ Plex for 5.8m each and now the price dropped again a bit so i am happy with that xD was holding it from last year with price of 4.8 to 5m each. But a high Plex price is bad for newbies dont want to pay instantly and check out the game.. so bad for the population and bad for long term targets.. Plex price need to drop.

Im a one week newbe and at first i felt some pressure to make a lot of isk to buy plex and become omega. It can be overwhelming when you are making 3mill doing rats lvl 1 and lvl 1 lvl 2 CS 😂 and u know you need to make billions. Now im more chill about it im learning the mechanics, how to fight, how to navigate in Low sec and null sec, how to do WH, what ships to fly, etc. I dont want it to be a job 😂😂 Ill definetly buy plex in the next sale offer. The message to newbies should be to play alpha for a few days, weeks and if you end up loving the game buy plex, buy omega with real money alpha is to try it out omega is the real deal to have the full eve experience.

With for example the 649.99€ for 20,000 plex it is 16.25€ for 500 plex. Am making more an hour on the job anyway. So for the sake of the comparison if I would make 16.25€ an hour I would need to somehow make ~2.9b isk *an hour* to be equivalent. I don't have access to that kind of isk so I just sub for two accounts to have peace of mind. If I ever need more omega accounts I probably would just sub them with real money.

Exactly, that way a significant portion of players would likely choose to PLEX their accounts using real money, which would help slow inflation. However, I personally think that the most effective approach would be to reduce the income from T5/T6 Abyssal sites and the absurd amounts of money from Pochven observatories and the multiboxing pilots farming there non-stop.

I can earn omega in one day. So I'm not worried, played for free for years. But it's getting bad for new players where just 100m is a ton of isk for them. If we lose players the game will end up like other dying MMOs that add more and more pay to win crap and the only players left are whales. We need to keep new players.

For a new player the game will make you quit because of the learning that you have to put in and the time required to have the proper skills. @malango255 In the past, this problem in EVE Online was even bigger when it came to skill points and skill differences, and I think the developers have gone in the right direction with the game’s development, although they’ve gone overboard in some areas... Specifically, with the money printing from Abyssal Deadspace and Pochven. People can make astronomical amounts of cash there in a short time, which I think has been a major driver of inflation lately-really. Imagine that now, after just a few months of playing, you’re able to access ‘instant’ content, nonstop; you open a filament and immediately start earning in a relatively safe place, making billions per hour with virtually no time investment compared to other activities in EVE Online. When I played, the best activity was farming in C5/C6, and you’d make about 200-300 million ISK, which was a lot at the time. But when you factored in the time spent closing wormholes, scanning, and constantly being at risk of someone opening up on you, the actual earnings were much lower… Back then, PLEX license for 30 days cost about 1 billion ISK. Now, just think about it-in Abyssal Deadspace, you can make around 1.5 billion ISK per hour instantly. You just fly in, open a filament, and complete it… It’s absurd. I think PLEX will soon reach around 8-8.5 million ISK per unit-it’s just the math of the current mechanics and ability to earn iskies

Because of crimson harvest i could do 40-100mil /hour by doing data sites in hi sec with 8mil heron... at the beggining it was hard but more rewarding. After 2 weeksor somehing like that they changed loot table and i was no longer able to drop worth 65mil boosters wchich were main income but still kept decent profit. I was doing it long time but was bored then blown up few of my ships and now im staying on few hundred mils and i decide that playing as omega for 500plex have no sense until You can earn easily over 100mil /hr . Till this time i will just buy omega time and no PLEX
