Happy to report I cancelled mine today. Haven't watched live tv for 10+ years (when f1 was on the BBC). 10 mins of hard sell from the advisor, telling me how much more value the BBC is vs Netflix, and its gone!. Keep up the good work, I'd have never of known I didn't need it without your channel

i am a scot, proud to be scottish and do not have a TV licence,do not want a TV licence, i enjoy watching TV and when i get my monthly threatogram i file it along with the rest.In proportion of % population up here we are well up the league of none TV licence payers.There are not many goon visits to my area in fact the last one to visit had his car up on bricks and wheels gone.The story in the street he/she called the local cops and ended up with a ticket because he/she did not have the appropriate insurance for business that car ended up on the back of a hi-ab leaving the bricks behind and us council tax payers with the bill.

4/10 is generous. It was full of misinformation, probably not deliberate, but due to poor journalism e.g. saying that if you move to a place that already has a TV licence, you can get a refund. The person who lived there before is likely to have transferred any TV licence to another address. Anyway, if the Scots are so sensible, why do so many of them vote for the SNP?

Not wanting a fight but less than a third of the electorate voted for these goons but because of the way they have set the voting in scotland the SNP will keep winning but not for long now, they are hated even by their core voters now. I am NOT one of them. Just making that clear for all that do not understand the problems we have. I didn't vote for devolution either as it was a bad idea.

@@anonnemo2504 We are not sensible, we are sick to the back teeth of the SNP. As I mentioned in my previous reply it is the way the vote system is taken up here. Less than a third voted for these morons but because the remaining votes were split over the remain parties regardless that is why they got into power. You would genuinely think having a vote of over 50% would get a party into power but unfortunately doesn't work like that. I never voted for them and never will.

I'm Scottish and I never buy the Record, it's for auld folk and Rab C Nesbitt ! To be honest I haven't bought a paper for nearly 2 years the price has put me off! I did used to buy the Scottish Daily Star but I stopped when it went up in price, and I was just wasting money as I didn't have time to read it.

OK, so just cancelled my sky. Cancelled my TVL DD as well. Signed up to NOW, ITVX but both offer the 'Live tv' option. On principle and to play with a straight bat I'm not using that part of the service however as it's readily available (assume by clicking them that's it! There's live TV) surely I'm at risk of prosecution? OK I wouldn't let any sales people in nor interact with them. But surely I'm now in the same situation if I had kept sky, cancelled the TVL and just not watched anything live! Which actually I was, hence cancelling it!

I got rid of my TV licence 2 years ago and informed them I no longer required a licence. I want to stay within the law so don't watch any tv because it's just rubbish on it. I watch youtube just people who I'm subscribed to and that's it. My partner has started watching on his tablet a thing called... Moto America...., all motorbike racing, nothing recent and nothing live. I am wondering now if this is classed as a television production company and can he watch it without us having a licence. Any comments welcomed.

When you say record do you mean record from any source say Sky F1 or just BBC content

Any source that is broadcast TV. So, if you record Sky Sports and watch it later, that requires a licence.
