Such an interesting concept I've especially found it interesting when you said that conflict helps to shape us into the people who we are meant to become. Its easy to see the fundamental disconnect when someone has had everything handed to them and never had to struggle. The question for me then becomes how can we create a fair and just world but not one devoid of necessary conflict. I think you said it well when u said that social democracy is a good path because then the project continues to improve indefinitely

Utopian visions are great as a point of departure, asking the question of what we would wish society to look like, what social relations would allow for it, and what possible problems would be. After that, it should not be pursued as a blueprint to be implemented from the top down, but build from the bottom-up through prefigurative politics and experimentation. It's also not something to be reached, but something to strive for and change along the way.

Agreed! utopian visions are powerful as starting points to reflect on what we want society to become. Your point about bottom-up approaches and prefigurative politics is so important, true change often comes from collective, grassroots efforts rather than rigid, top-down plans. And yes, the journey toward a better society is just as important as the destination. Keep tuning in to our channel! Thanks for sharing your perspective!

We don't want nor need a "Utopia" that will inevitably be controlled by the few, which is precisely what we've always had. It inevitably collapses. And as your video explains we lose our individuality as well as our autonomy. This is precisely the dominating factor of tyranny we're currently fighting and always have fought since the beginning of time. This video is food for thought and certainly we can strive for equality, inclusivity, respect and acceptance without losing our Humanity, our dreams and hopes.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful perspective! I think you are right, maintaining our individuality and autonomy is crucial, and striving for equality and respect without losing our humanity is the real challenge. I'm glad you found the video thought-provoking, that's exactly the kind of dialogue I hoped to spark.

The human nature itself is not utopian... How can u build a utopia?
@SrikanthandPawanКүн бұрын
Exactly! That’s what I’ve been trying to communicate in the video-human nature itself is imperfect, which makes a true utopia nearly impossible. But maybe the goal isn’t perfection, but striving for a society that embraces both our flaws and strengths. Would love to hear your thoughts!
