Why Everybody Hates Joker 2 | Spoiler Movie Review

Joker 2: Folie A Deux is bad (if you ask 95% of the people who went out to see it opening weekend)
Joker was one of the most divisive comic book movies ever made, but it's hard to argue that what Joaquin Phoenix and Todd Phillips did with the Joker character (also known as Arthur Fleck) was at least interesting, so now you add Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, turn Joker 2 into a musical, and get the internet to say "Joker 2 is woke", and you have one of the most hated movies of the decade so far.
In this Joker 2 spoiler movie review, we're going to be going over what is bad about Joker 2, what is good in Joker 2, and go into a little Joker 2 Ending Explained segment where I breakdown why the ending is the best part of the entire movie.
Joker 2 is a musical, Joker 2 is a disappointment to a lot of Joker fans, and even though I didn't LOVE Joker 2...there is a lot of interesting things to talk about here.

People want a fairytale, even dark one. They want to see unreal things like mental health patient rises to a people leader, to a strong man. Nobody wants to see a movie about a broken man

I went in with an open mind, but that ending really soured the experience for me. Also the pacing I thought was bad, the musical bits added nothing to the plot, and the courtroom drama aspect wasn’t used to the fullest. The actors did the best they could with the material, but they just didn’t go deep enough with any of the characters imo. Massively disappointed with this movie, and I didn’t even have any expectations to begin with!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joker: Folie à Deux is the first Hollywood comic book movie to earn a D CinemaScore from opening day audiences, spelling doom for its box office future. By comparison, Joker earned a favourable B+ CinemaScore. CinemaScore measures a film’s appeal by polling early reactions to major releases. The sequel’s D-rating puts it on par with Russell Crowe’s terribly rated horror film The Exorcism, which is the only other film in the post-pandemic era to score as poor as D, according to Collider. *Even Francis Ford Coppola’s incredibly divisive Megalopolis managed to score higher with a D+.* With a D CinemaScore, Joker 2 is the most poorly reviewed studio comic book film of all time, falling behind even the much maligned Batman & Robin, Morbius, and Madame Web, all of which earned a C+.

If you ask me about what went wrong, frankly it was the idea of making a sequel that was already unnecessary from a beginning. As a result of the film, I really disappointed as i didn't expect to see a sort of musical like La la land with DC comics elements.

I was really looking forward to this movie as I absolutely loved the 1st movie, but I was pretty disappointed. The musical approach got on my nerves. I ended up watching the 1st movie straight afterwards to feel better 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ the actors were great but the story wasn't for me

i never like Joker. but i get the lacking parts. If i was to add depth to joker 2. Each time gaga sings, they should have shown visual imagery (no dialogue) of other joker copy cats pov of personal life that can make you doubt if thats Arthur or not. Why do these joker clones likes to copy him etc. And they could have add more depth to lady gagas harlequin character. The ending makes sense to me.

I saw it with a friend last night. First thing he said to me when it finished was, "Did you know it was a musical?" 😂 I loved it personally. Not as good as the first but, if you get your head out of the IP fanboy head space, it's a film brimming with depth.

That’s great hahaha, I’m definitely on the positive side of it too! A good amount I thought could have been done better, but I just love the ending so much. I really think people will come around to it when enough time passes, even if the movie doesn’t age as well as the first I think that aspect of it will definitely be appreciated a bit more. Hope all is going well man!

0:56 stop. Idk if its the nostalgia or if you are just misrembering the movie. But taxi driver was utter shitz it literallly only has good photography going for it. Sure most of phase 4 and 5 of marvel and dc are lackluster but that doesnt mean that taxi driver is any good either dude😂
