Epiphone pumped out insane quality to reinvigorate the brand and make them more synonymous with quality. Now with that (and insane inflation) they are charging a premium for them. I got a final version of the Iommi SG and the Brent Hinds V gor just under $800, and the newest Prophecy LP for a little more. All are KILLER! But for what they are charging for the Mustaine V, I'll be looking elsewhere.

The new Pelham blue Jared James Nichols also has a new Seymour Duncan signature JJN pickup, I believe it's noiseless. According to an Instagram post, also comes with locking tuners and a "few other goodies". So it's not like you're paying a premium for a new paint job. Tbh, it's a little more than I'd want to pay for it, but I do really want one. Love that blue.

I think the NF53 is overall a better design. It doesn't have that quirky angle that the signature guitar has on top near the strap button and it gives you better access to the high frets. Having said that I prefer that the other half of the signature guitar seems to be more symmetrical and better defined than the NF53. Although, I don't mind a little bit of an offset on some guitars.

For me, it's the sandblasted wood finish. Obviously it's a time intensive process but you usually see them on import guitars. Additionally I think that people come to expect a certain elegance from PRS that I feel this and the silver sky lack. When I think PRS, I think wood library or a 10 top. This and the silver sky could have been made by any brand.

The thing with PRS making Teles and Strats is the "wrong" headstock, their 3R-3L layout just doesn't work for me on those bodystyles. If they feel like they have to copy a design, they should copy it properly or create something unique themselves.

The Kerry King Dean V is a really divisive guitar shape but I love it, and it plays great. Just awesome to play and the satin neck is incredible. Won’t be for everyone but it’s an awesome guitar. Thanks for your videos, nice work!

I picked up an original Old Glory for £300 used. Absolute bargain, sounds epic and the neck is huge but extremely comfortable. Wasn’t keen on the gold, not sure about the blue yet, but if there’s affordable used deals in a couple of years I might be tempted.

I love the MK guitar’s looks and tones. I don’t love the price, but that’s because it’s WAY out of my league and I can’t have it. I’m willing to bet price and inaccessibility is where many of the haters are mad whether they realize it or not. Pretty sure an SE version will make its way to the masses. The NF version is a bit tougher because it shouldn’t be the same price as a guitar with more expensive locking tuners, etc. But still, I like that they also released a more traditional spec version too for people who won’t like more modern tone that is a bigger departure from a traditional Tele. Again, I can only hate the price because I can’t have one lol.

It's all about the neck profile; sure it sounds great, PRS is well known for voicing instruments very well. What they should do is go all in on it and offer the Myles neck profile as an option on other guitars, because people love the neck and the sound just fine but if you see me in public playing a paper bag with strings, you know what's inside there.

I had an original Old Glory. Couldn't deal with it. It wouldn't stay in tune, regardless of setup after setup from different techs, some of the fret ends were less than comfortable and they put a chunky neck on a lightweight body, so there was neckdive. That Jackson looks pretty cool.

People online have been fully primed and ready to meme and complain about these new PRS t-style guitars since a tele style PRS was first spotted with Miles on stage like 2 years ago. Hell, people were ready to pile on about a future PRS tele way back when the Silver Sky was first seen. The internet has a very large toxic overtone in the guitar world. Some people are desperate to discount other players for any and every reason they can. Even just based upon what gear a person uses. They also want reassurance about their personal choices. People who can't afford the high end stuff will always insist their cheaper version is "just as good", but if that were actually fully true the expensive one wouldn't still exist. They say it over and over hoping that people hitting like on their comment confirms their hope. Most people end up eventually getting the full price high end version of what they like by the time they get old. And PRS has always made modified versions of existing guitars. Everyone can see what the singlecut is based on, Gibson even tried to sue them. The 22, 24, and Santana are ultimately modified Les Paul double cuts. People are just used to those shapes from PRS.

I think the main issue is that it’s 2,899 and unlike the silver sky, doesn’t have cheaper models. Prs selling this at the 500-800 price range, or hell, even the 1000, it would probably have a better reception.

Not sure why this was a miss since the PRS Mark Lettieri Fiore Signature which is has direct competition with the Silver Sky, is selling well enough to have a series refresh with new colors just recently and it is right around the 3k price tag as well.

Honestly the PRS is horrible. Paul really screwed this one up on nearly every level. The thing looks ridiculous. I don’t understand why people consider it a “tele killer.” There’s nothing Tele about it. PRS usually makes beautiful guitars that feel amazing with subpar pickups we usually replace. So Paul comes up with a ugly abortion slightly resembling a Telecaster with horrible finishes. They are really pushing their lousy pickups with this one and charging $3k…lmao, I will pass! They killed it with the silver sky but this is abysmal

Not gonna lie a Gibson Les Paul doesn't look like a 3k guitar either. A lot of times for me the tops aren't any better looking than Epiphone. As for pelham blue. It's one of my favorite Gibson finishes. especially on SGs. All that aside enjoy your vacation! Look forward to the next video.

A stinger on that Epi cracks me up. Pretty hip. My 2¢ > The cheapskate ends up paying the most. I have 2 MINT as in unplayed condition Epis - a beautiful crystal white Muse SG with push/pull pots, thin fast bound neck; a same MINT unplayed '58 LE Korina Explorer with gold hw and grovers blah blah...selling both to help pay for the Iommi Monkey steal of a deal (heck the Monkey case and incl. candy is worth more than cheap Epis!) but not ONE nibble despite selling at steep discount - the Explorer was AMS/Zzounds only so it may be worth more than the $650 they were selling them for in 2022, now that Epi is selling the $1300 one that doesn't even have Grovers but has Gibson pups, but same sandy Indian Laurel? LOL for double mine? LOL. Trust me - save and get a mint used new Gibson - they are plek'd at factory with bound frets with nibs and play like a million bucks - and if you ever want to sell, I bet you can. If you live in LA and have 11 I'll give you both mint Epis. But I know no one will take me up on it. Heed my warning, kids !!! 🎸

I mean obviously i post on every PRS video saying that the bird inlays are disgusting. but taking the disgusting bird inlays out of it, the reason people are hating on the PRS tele is the price. Sure, Suhr and Fender can charge $3k plus for a tele, but PRS doesn't have the features to justify it other than being a PRS. like if you just want a single cut humbucker guitar in the style of a tele so many other options you can go for. ESP. Ibanez. Charvel. Schecter. G&L. you'd get a roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets. better comfort cuts. better heel joint etc. the neck on the PRS tele looks like a $150 guitar. like a colourless donner or amazon maple neck.

I don't understand the hate for the PRS NF53. I don't own a PRS, I never have, and I don't have any plans to get one. I also don't own a Telecaster. Just by looking at it, you can tell what it's trying to be, but you can also see that it's clearly a PRS, so they completed their objective. I just don’t like the headstock for the psr teles. But if I’m paying that price for it, I’ll probably just go for a custom shop option from someone.
