That’s me. I was praying and asking God to show me. I gave in my resignation for a job I was doing for 12 years. I was drained , unsatisfied, mentally and spiritually I was going down. I’m 41 and it’s scary to get back out there to look for employment or start something on my own, but I’m literally walking by faith right now. I have to try for a better life and it’s okay if I fail, but I’ll regret it if I don’t try.

I have been running my own business for over 20 years now and running a business is not as easy as people make it sound. Certainly it is doable but not everybody is cut out for it. If you think you have issues with your boss in your job now, think about the fact that your entire customer base( without whom you don’t have a business) becomes your bosses in a business setting. The attitude that it takes to focus on your goals in a job setting quadruples in running a business. If your attitude of owning your own business is so you can work less and “do your own thing”, I’m afraid you will be in for a rude awakening. There’s a reason why they always advise that you choose something that you are passionate about because trust me, the challenges you face in business will sometimes make you want to quit. Unlike a job where you can give your employer a two weeks notice or just simply quit, you can’t even do that in a business. There are tax and other implications involved even in dissolving a business. 9-5 jobs are not the problem. You should always have a plan to leverage whatever situation you find yourself in.

Finally, someone is telling the truth!!! I've been on my journey for 6yrs now. I worked my 9-5 until I made my idea work for me! I haven't looked back! It wasn't easy, but if you put a plan in place and use your money, let me say it again, "your money" you make on your 9-5 work for your idea. Once you do the work, get your idea off the ground, you can peacefully walk away from somebody else's idea and the pennies they pay. You start by cutting out things you really and truly don't need. And put that money toward your idea and watch how you flourish. Just know, you can do it!

I just got fired, and I'm 39 years old. Now that I have 425K saved for an early retirement at age 50, 10K in an HSA, and a property that could yield an extra 200K, what possibilities do I have for a steady stream of income?
@MICHAELJHAGAN-l6k9 күн бұрын
It’s reasonable to consider getting a financial advisor now, but delaying retirement might be a wiser choice
@RichardGeorge-uj9iu9 күн бұрын
I'm wondering if I should merge all of my investing accounts into one. How should I proceed and are there any repercussions I should be aware of if I decide to do this? In addition, I plan to sell my property, which could result in an additional 200K over time. Is it better to diversify over a few different industries or combine everything into one investing account?

These are crucial questions for a financial planner. I met mine at a NYSE summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our $1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and a brokerage account. She’s been making investments with our approval and has helped us recover twice our losses. We’re holding steady and carefully navigating more markets

I retired at 52 and honestly, I wish I’d done it sooner. The 9-to-5 grind steals your freedom for a paycheck that barely scratches the surface. My advice? If you’re in your late 30s or early 40s, start saving for FIRE now - Financial Independence, Retire Early. And if you’re in your 50s, invest smartly and break free from relying on your job. Market trends, like the Trump Effect, have made millions for many, including me. Stay focused, stay consistent, and remember: financial freedom is within reach if you make it a priority.

Sir, you are talking right! Stepping out on faith can be paralyzing after that first step! Made that step into my own business, pivoted back to corporate 8 yrs later to mitigate the aftermath of the pandemic & get caught up financially (lower expenses and paying off debt). Shaking in my boots to leap out here again, but my health is being affected - so the price of the sacrifice is definitely making me cry 😢 but I always last! Do it scared. Do it without having every answer. We’ve planned, researched, and now it’s time to TAKE ACTION. That’s faith. God can and HAS come through. All things work together..so both victories & failures are for our betterment.
