You forgot to mention they also try to mimic php's bloatiness, it seems that is going really well, because bloat is synonymous with javascript. At least in php, you can use php without any plugins very well, but not with javascript.

i have learned and used multiple programming languages so far and i love php i prefer to write programs in php unless i have to do otherwise for some reason i know c, c++ (to some extent), qt (gui framework), c#, assembly, js, html (i know it is not a PL), python, java (to some extent) for android, bash, gnu/linux, dos, windows, ... the list is long php is even easier than python i think... also u can use html/js/css for gui of your application... i wrote several programs that are more of a desktop app than web app in php, but i also wrote some in python and i like tk/tkinter gui toolkit and think it is brilliant and underrated although lacks thread safety that annoyed me in some projects and i don't use arch btw 😆 i use debian on my vps servers and windows at home and work but i have virtual machine linux on my pc too
