As a Singaporean that lives in the East, Jewel is pretty close to where I live such that I go there quite frequently. Love going there especially on weekdays as it isnt that crowded. Lots of open spaces, and lots of great baby care rooms as well for my kid. Glad you liked Jewel!

Do visit Changi Airport again in a decade's time, when its new T5 (construction has already begun) will be bigger than T1, T2, T3, T4 & Jewel combined. Not only that, the additional terminal will be bookended by Changi Aviation Park (high-tech expansion of current freight & maintenance facilities) on the beach side & Changi City (new waterfront district for recreation & access to current ferry services; high-tech expansion of current business facilities to include MICE & lifestyle amenities like hotels & serviced suites) on the Tanah Merah side. Basically, the goal is to create an entire ecosystem so that travellers don't need to head downtown except for tourist activities. For those using public commute, the long-term plan is also to connect another 2 MRT lines (CRL & TEL lines) towards the airport.

btw elevator buttons that have the small black box on it dont need to be pressed, those are motion sensors and you'd hover your finger over it to activate the button.

We went to Changi en route to the Philippines, but by the time we were there, we were getting frazzled and couldn't make the most of it. I booked us into a lounge and had a great shower and change of clothes - It was January, and British winter clothes were not a good idea in which to arrive in Manila. But you guys - Off to Borneo next please! I want to see some Orang Utan!

You guys only showed the Jewel. There're loads to do air side as well such as a free movie theatre, bowling alley, swimming pool with a bar, butterfly garden, sunflower garden etc. The cheapest food (averagely S$5/ dish) in Changi Airport would be at the staff canteens (land side) at T1 and T2 which are both open to the public as well.

@@adamandyaz The free movie theatre is at T3 airside beside Ambassador Transit Lounge. The swimming pool costs $27.32/pax and it is located airside at T1 Aerotel Transit Hotel. There is also a poolside bar. Operating hours are from 12pm to 10pm.

Jewel is a bit separated from Changi Airport - you need to ride the monorail to get there. But it's manageable. Singapore Airlines will allow you to book your checked bags a day early, but only at Changi Airport in Singapore, not in other terminals around the world. And of course that only helps you if you're flying on Singapore Airlines. Along with Emirates, they are probably the best airline in the world.
