It’s an absolutely insane price. Hope I’m wrong but this has potential bust written all over it, for me. The attitude problems under several coaches, the fact he isn’t even that young (we aren’t talking a 16/17 year old) and has barely played. Basing his value on a handful of Champions League performances feels like a throwback to when teams would sign players based purely on one good international tournament

The ballsy fearless attitude is the reason Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappe, Ibra are so successful in their careers. He can shout at the head coach all he wants as long as he's working hard on team training or individual training. That's a leader by example in the making, not an attitude problem. Ofc if he acts like he's the one and stops training properly like Balotelli, that's a problem.

He’s a huge gamble, Donetsk asking for so much upfront is crazy too. I get they need funds, but if he’s as good as they say then a structured deal with achievable incentives would work. It’s that element that as an Arsenal fan worries me - take Saka for example. PL proven, Euros and World Cup proven and still insanely young. He has to be worth £100-£130 million - if a club offered Arsenal £100 million with another 30+ in performance related add ons you’d accept (never want to sell him but for the purpose of examples) because you know he’s going to exceed expectations. 6 months ago Donetsk would have bitten our hand off for 30 mill but now 50 upfront with another 20-30 in performance related add ons isn’t enough? Their lack of confidence worries me

If he’s basically Mbappe with curtains according to them, then it’s guaranteed cash. So either they’re not sure or they desperately need the cash which is a risk for them if he gets injured or his form drops off. If he’s that good, they’ll have cash coming for the next few years - their reluctance for this worries me
@ItzJigz1872 жыл бұрын
@@jameshall9654 Pepe was more proven than mudryk. lmagine that now when we consider the amount that is being reported currently. Pepe was a more sound decision and look what happened. If I was included in this deal I would only accept 100mil but with heavy heavy legal requirements in this deal. In reality should keep him at the club long enough to make back as much from him in that time to mitigate any loss from payments or fees (subject to contractual stipulations) appearances, goals league wins, champions league appearances/goals. This commodity has to produce the goods for that cost and so I'd be looking to break that 100 down to an initial 35-50 million upfront and then the odd 7-10% remaining in said objectives agreed and completed. Even then it's a gamble at even 35mill. It's deal I wouldn't be confident about at the arsenal table unless they know something that the public does not.

Celtic probably gave him more room than Real Madrid and Red Bull, not sure why there was a slight nod that they had a more defensive set up, they were the more attacking side in both fixtures against Shakhtar. The Shakhtar manager utilized Mudryk brilliantly on both occasions, his performance was a stand out one and it would have been a much more comfortable game for Celtic if it wasn't for him. Mudryk, at his age is still in developer mode, and Arteta is the perfect person to spot a potential for molding; for example, Benjamin White bought in as a center back and developed into one of the Premier Leagues' best RBs. Looking at Arsenal so far, this season is a team growing from strength to strength, but the same can't be for all players. For example, Xhaka has been fantastic from the beginning of the season, but as we progress, you can see his fatigue is showing more in these later stages. No doubt that Arteta has noticed. You see Martinelli now facing two defenders as he is known as not ideal to go one-on-one with due to his pace and ability. When this happens, Xhaka is not quick enough to provide the backup and continue the pressure. That's where Mudryk comes in. There's more but I will leave it here.

Imagine being a manager with a diamond in the rough and seeing nothing in him. That will ruin any manager reputation when that player become one of the best players in the world. I wonder are there any managers like that

The more I research Mudryk, the more I think we (Arsenal) dodged a bullet. How many clubs can one guy only ever want to play for, ha ha? Must admit, I was initially flattered by his eagerness to want to join us, but now it just seems he wanted out to anyone who showed interest, let alone offered stupid wages. Also, Shakhtar definitely pulled off one of the biggest price inflations in football history. Even if he goes on to become the next Maradona, he is not at that level right now to warrant that price tag - that's what add-ons are for. Bottom line: No unproven player should be worth NINE figures in today's market when they barely have a full season of first team football under their belt. Had he joined us and flopped it would never be laid to rest. Well I guess that's Chelsea's problem now. And for what it's worth, I'm not bitter because Chelsea got him. Just speaking from experience after Pepe is all.

Are those days of finding raw talent at a cheaper price really gone? Arsenal themselves found and developed Martinelli into a player who is most likely better than Mudryk. He cost them 5Mil

Backup to Vini JR at Real Madrid would actually be the best fit or if AC Milan sell Leao he could be the new Shevchenko!
