I am also glad to be able to make viable himbo teams. Most gacha games I play are so female character focus or if they have male characters they do not synergize together well enough. I normally have no gender preference but a gacha game having viable full himbo team is so rare that I feel the need to only pull hot men here (except for Jingliu, she is my fav female design so I can't skip her.) Although having 3 male characters along with either Tingyun or Yukong would still make me happy because they are both hot.

@@Candytime9 omg yes!!! Harem fantasy finally available to all my girlies. Long deserved hoyo finally did something right I feel so much more excitement for hsr banners then I did in genshin. Like in genshin all of my husbands are dps or anti-synergy and I am forced to pull for infantile kids or characters with unlikable design since they are the only good teammates for my himbo and my himbo is borderline unplayable without them. But in hsr I can finally build my full “aesthetic” team and STILL make it work just fine.

Though we could use some male harmony units to fill out the ranks or a male Pela, but I find Tingyun and Yukong hot and Pela is adorable so I don't really mind using them. If you are F2P and not on guaranteed pity I recommend rolling Kafka because of how her banner is setup. All of her 4 stars are basically her team while blades banner doesn’t have synergetic 4 stars.

Oh the point regarding blade wanting to have Luocha in the team, I agree with that as his Ult sets his HP to 50%. so if blade's hp is lower that 50% (which will happen mostly if u dont run a good abundance unit), he will not gain a stack since he didnt reduce hp at that point but rather gained hp. I would also lose damage if u are constantly at low hp. Why? coz it might be fine on first Cycle when u start at full hp, but on the 2nd ult afterwards ur damage goes down coz the amount of hp u lost is so small compared to the first ult usage.

For me, I think I would only use his ult when 1st) he has high HP (the higher the better) so he can accumulate much more HP lost when his HP reduces to 50% of his max HP. And 2nd) when his HP is really low (the lower the better) so his HP heals to 50% of his max HP. He won't stay on low HP as you say because he has heals from his passive plus that ult heal effect. Not to mention, you would probably have a healer on your team.

Actually wrong (if his skills don't change on release), the current skill text says he does damage based on his max HP and LOST HP, this means he does more damage based on both his total hp and the damage he took after the last ultimate (with a cap on his max hp as well). The thing about his ult is that he puts himself at 50% hp probably so he can already bump the damage or heal back the life he has, just a breakpoint of his HP and self sustain. I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the health he "loses" the moment he uses his ult, because all the texts on his skills (currently ofc) says so.

Seele is never going to be replaced by any dps in the future just because of the nature of the game and how her resurgence buff works and synergizes so well with buffs. Speed is everything in this game and Seele goes so fast and has so many turns that she'll likely never be replaceable as a dps

They will eventually release enemies that she will not be able to make full use of her kit. There is no way the first dps released in game will still be top tier later on. I don't think she will ever be bad though she will still see use, it is just that these games change enemies based on who they want to sell and if they want to sell someone different then Seele she will not be as useful. Some of these enemies might not allow her to use resurgence it is super easy for hoyo to make those kinds of enemies.

Hard disagree tbh. The moment there are no ads that she can reliably one shot, her entire kit is basically just a regular 5* hunt. The reason she seems so untouchable right now is bc there is no other 5* hunt or 5* character that can deal hunt-level ST damage to compare. Going by current leaks, 1.3 might be bringing a character with comparable damage

I dont think people are saying Jing Yuan is good. They stopped saying that a day after release, but with Blade I knew he would be good right away. Destruction type characters are bruisers which deal heavy damage while having some survivability. He's gonna be good regardless of what he does.

My thing is, if you skip Blade, who is going to be your option for Wind DPS- Dan Heng? There doesn’t seem to be any other Wind DPS characters coming out in the near future. So idk if this is a strong reason or not to consider pulling Blade.

You say DH as if that’s a crazy thought 😅 I have invested quite some resources into DH, simply because I love his design and character, and he does very decent damage. I 30 starred MoC with him & Serval on one side and Seele on the other. Granted, I do pair him with well built supports, he works really well with Bronya. He’s not comparable to 5* carries, but with proper gear and team he packs a punch. At least when elemental coverage is what you’re worried about. For that reason I will be skipping Blade until his rerun and will go for DH IL, as apart from Luocha I don’t have an imaginary damage dealer.

Blade has insane skill point economy, follow up attacks, a heal on his ulti if he's below half that also hits like a nuke, self-sustain, like bro the guy has everything, you run Bailu or Luocha with him and he legit won't die, and even if he does, Bailu fuckin resurrects him. Even better if you have Clara's lightcone which has a 8% heal on it whenever he gets hit lol (unless whale pulling for his lightcone, not me tho). Man's got it all.

The biggest difference is skill point consumption. Blade is skill point friendly, only using one skill point every 3 turns, not gaining any either, but doing Skill level damage without consuming anymore, making him overall skill point positive. He trades HP for skill points. IL is the opposite in that he’s VERY skill point hungry. He’s similar to Qingque (without the RNG) in that he consume multiple skill points per turn for big damage. That means that you have to run him with multiple supporters whose sole purpose is to build skill points. Also means that it’s very hard to run a subdps with him as he wants to use all the points. On the otherhand, Blade IS the subdps that you can pair with your main DPS.

my mind has been set in stone for a while now for getting blade and honestly, thank this video for the team comps. The only problem I will face is that since I was very lucky on jing yuans banner (e1 with lc) I essentially have the dream team for him (jing silver wolf bailu tingyun) and the problem I'm going to face is that I can't share SW for things like MoC so I would like an opinion on a team structured around Blade being Blade Bronya Yukong and Natasha (Yukong being the SW replacement) but either way this was a fantastic video and I'm happy Blade is getting the praise he deserves.

My plan for pulling in Honkai Star Rail this 1.3 and up Blade is really cool and Id looove to have a good wind dps BUT I have both Luocha and Clara together and it is WONDERFUL The amount of healing and damage they do together is just so gooood, something that Blade can't do since he can only follow up every 4-5 times he gets hit. The worst part is that, there's a chance Blade won't have aggro like Clara does, unless they give him an ascension for it. If he doesn't, then its all the more reason not to get him considering my Clara acts as both tank and sub dps. I don't want to remove Clara from Luocha since I love my man Svarog and I love follow up attackers. So what I plan on doing is waiting for Blade release, check his stats and ascensions, if he cant do Clara's role better (tank sub dps that helps with healing), then I'll skip him. Now the hardest problem is Kafka. She's unique and enables DOT teams with her proc abilities, which means any future dots will become stronger with her, BUT I already main Jing Yuan, more than Seele, so not only does she fulfill a role I dont need, she's also gonna be a new character with new teamates that I would ALL NEED TO LEVEL UP AND BUILD. On the bright side, I do like the idea of setting up a new team, I've always wanted to play Hook and she triggers burn easily. Problem is, I also have a lot of eidolons on Serval, while Luka and Sampo are gonna be great on Kafka. This brings in the biggest issue. I don't need a new dps with the same element as Jing Yuan, but having a good DOT enabler is good too. So what I plan on doing is waiting for Dan Heng Inbibitor Lunae, see how he works and if he's more fun to play or not. Fu Xuan isn't really in my list of pulls considering i have Bailu, Gepard, and Luocha already. So everything is a game of patience. What I'm really looking forward to is Screwllum, after he showed up with his lovely design and voice, I just WANT him, even if he's 4 star and gets outscaled, I'll goddamn main him.

you are completely right, Clara(with Luocha) does everything Blade does, but better. Clara can not only be used as a tanky subdps, but she even be used in a hypercarry team since she scales with att%, rather than Blades hp scaling. Which means that Tingyun, Bronya, Asta, Yukong, etc all work better with her. As for why they released a limited 5* that's weaker than a standard one is a question I want to ask them... Maybe not every Clara user has Luocha?

so if you look at the showcase for Blade, his skill uses SP and his empowered attack does not recover it, which means that he is SP- rather than SP+, it is the complete opposite of what I expected as well so idk why they did that. I would say it’s a good idea to find out how that works when he comes out before pulling for F2P. They only showed his SP usage in a very small section of the showcase which I also missed the first time around until I specifically decided to look for it

You're forgetting something,he uses his skill once every 3 turns,and while it's true that his basic attack doesn't generate a point when it's enhanced , that arguably still makes him sp positive or at the very least sp neutral. In three turns,an SP negative unit would spend 3 points,while blade spends 1 point.

@@kpkazan the reason I would call him SP- specifically is because unlike the other units who use a lot of SP, he does not have the choice of generating SP in emergency situations, the other highly SP- units like Bronya and QQ have that choice while Seele sometimes has the choice of generating 2 SP in 1 turn. On the other hand, Blade uses 1 SP every 3 turns without having the choice of generating any even if he desperately needs it

Jingliu banner will propably drop in the second half of 1.4. So after Kafka there will be IL, then Fu Xuan, then someone else and then Jingliu. Your team looks really nice, but I wouldn't play Silverwolf and Pela on the same team, split them up for your second team. That being said, Tingyun is the your BiS support for her, as far as we know Jingliu wants to ult as often as possible. If you want to spend your pulls, consider Lynx and/or Fu Xuan as defensive supports.

i don't know how to feel about the description of destruction units. like sureee, it applies to almost every destruction unit, but hook and phys mc feel like exceptions, but its true they have self-healing that could count as the "exchanged" thing in question. i personally just think destruction units are generalist dps, as in they can do both single target and aoe, they just don't specialise in either of them unlike hunt/erudition. its true almost all of them have mechanics related to hp tho, even if its just healing

Build a Team wrap: alright so what i understand for my f2p butt is- i'm lucky enough to have Loucha so i put him in the team. if i had Silver Wolf (which i don't) use her. so THEN i need a support that drops the enemy's defense? like Pela? (I have so not built her XD i usually use Gepard in all my teams because i'm big on defensive tactics.) i actually would love to get some recommendations on this too! the problem with blade is his taunt is not that strong. If he's not attacked, his kit is kinda meh. There's a future char that can buff max HP and aggro (idk which) is best suit for him tho.

Hey dude, I wanted Blade because I have no DPS (other than Yanqing) to carry my team through whole story and things. can you suggest who should I pull for Blade/Kafka/5 STAR Dan Heng or wait for some other characters to release. I need a character to carry my team which also does great amounts of damage. I have Bailu and e6 Natasha. I don't have Luocha and I'm not trying to pull him as well I got 70 passes(jade included) whereas we'll get 10 in login event + I'm an F2P. Pls suggest. Thanks.

blade is a tanky sub dps that don't consume alot of SP unlike all dps characthers, that opens up the new 2 dps meta team, made to work well with jingliu not a hypercarry. he won't be the next "seele" also blade do need luocha so does jingliu, they nerfed blade hard both dmg and healing wise. so he won't solo sustain him self like he used to, if you don't have luocha you can run bailu since her healing isn't anything to scoff at, but she's not luocha. i wish if mihoyo would alow content creators to at least work with none story related leaks to a certain extent cuz all we see rn is a bunch of miss information and clickbits spreading out, just the other video i watched there is this guy saying gepard is a good unit to work with blade like bruh and this will breed all the "oh X characther is trash because my fav content creator told me to play a certain way that hinder it's performance now i'm mad" exactly what happend with Jingyuan

I dont think all Destruction characters sacrifice something. They all consume skill points. Destruction Characters were defined in the game as a path where characters deal outstanding amounts of damage and possess great survivability. So they are a mix of tank (because of their capacity to survive) and Hunt / Erudition (able to deal good damage to single or multiple enemies). Now I wouldn't say all characters would be like that. We may get destruction characters that function differently but for now, characters like Clara or Hook or Arlan functions this way.

Ok you guys are overestimating Bailu's synergy with Blade even with the max hp buff it isn't gonna matter if she can't keep up with his massive Health pool even with his counter heal he still drains 5400 hp every 3 turns on a 6K hp blade build while excluding enemies excluding enemies atks. I am too lazy to reword my point so let me just copy paste it instead. "Here is the thing that max hp buff is only applied when he is at max hP bailu cannot reliably heal over 5400 hp every cycle and that is the amount of HP he loses by himself with using ULT into his skill and EBATK you lose 90% of the average Blade's hp which is 6K. His counter heal went from 35% to 25% in other words you only heal 1500 out of the 5400 lose hp without using ULT he loses hp every 3 turns and the amount he loses 3600 hp 30% on the skill activation and 30% with EBATK total 60% every 3 turns. Man if your bailu can actually keep up with that much healing then good for you. Here are the healing numbers for Base bailu no outgoing healing boost with 8K HP and Lv.10 traces Skill=1253 Ult=1440 total=1693 With outgoing healing boost let's say 40% boost you get Skill=1253 + 40%of1253 = 1253 + 501.2 = 1754.2 Ult= 1440 + 40%of1440 = 1440 + 576 = 2016 total 3770.2 So without outgoing healing boost you heal a total of 2693 and with outgoing healing boost you healing boost you heal 3770.2. Here you go and have a nice day" And no Blade should not be at low hp he should drain more than 90% of his hp for the damage buff while still having more than 50% hp left just so you could proc the talent faster with the ULT. Don't forget about enemy status eff like freeze, imprisonment, and etc. You might think Lynx would be a good replacement for Luocha but she isn't keep in mind she is a 4 star hp scaling healer with extremely high utility and her max hp buff is now on her E6 you can expect her to have lower base heals than Bailu she would be lucky if they made her heal on par with Natasha. As of now or in the near possible future Luocha is the only healer than can keep up with Blade's immense health drain. Lynx honestly looks more like a buffer for blade more than a healer.

But Blade still does not need Luocha (Is still nice but not restricted to him) and DEFINETELY can be at low HP and benefit from it. Why do I say that? That's simple: people think Blade needs to consume the HP with his ULT to actually deal increased damage, that's wrong (if the current skill texts on beta and other leaks don't change on release ofc), the skill (Lvl 10 for reference) actually says: "Sets Blade's current HP to 50% of his Max HP and deals to a single enemy Wind DMG equal to the sum of 40% of his ATK, 100% of his Max HP, and 100% of the *total HP he has lost in the current battle*. At the same time, deals Wind DMG to adjacent targets equal to the sum of 16.0% of his ATK, 40% of his Max HP, and 40% of the total HP he has lost in the current battle. *The total HP Blade has lost in the current battle is capped at 90% of his Max HP. This value will be reset and re-accumulated after his Ultimate has been used.*" Notice how the things are written, the damage calculation does not care about current Blades HP when he uses his ULT or other skills (because other skills like his talent are written the same way). This is the latest text current present in the beta and leaks, and probably not going to change the mechanic too much on release. Saying that Luocha is the only option for Blade is just blatantly WRONG. Luocha is not the only healer good for Blade, any healers are going to be fine with him, Luocha does provide a lot to Blade in terms of general Abundance, but that is to be expected, *he is supposed to be the best healer* currently. If Lynx release is like the current leaks, then she is going to be a fine option for Blade too, no reason to go for Luocha if you don't really want him and already have either Bailu or Gepard (Gepard for the other team bc Blade does not like shields). Just wanted to say that, Luocha is a good unit, and people should go for him either if they like him or need him, but is not a must pull for Blade or any unit at all, hes still pretty good and if you like him then cool.

However, he is not the only healer that will work with Blade, saying that is just wrong. Bailu will still do a fine job healing Blade and keep him alive, and Natasha might not be the best but is probably ok with him too. I'm just against saying that a X character will just work with another Y character when that is simply not true for Blade, he IS very dependent of healing, but the other Abundance chars are still a fine option to go with. That's just what I'm trying to convey. That said, If you wanna go full whale for that dream perfect comp that is on you, I'm not trying to stop anyone with that. But you might wanna consider that as a F2P you still have viable options.

The gimped him too much to ever be realistically considered as a carry. On Seele's peak turn she's doing 50% more damage than blade at his peak and jing yuan is doing twice as much damage as blade at his peak and you also have to consider that those two characters peak turns will be more frequent than blade's because his requires his follow-up attack, ultimate, and basic attack to all happen in one turn. While also killing himself in the process, it's just not worth it. His multipliers are just too low and there isn't even an HP support in the game to help him. I think his ideal role is as a universal sub-dps considering he's completely skill neutral and will never take nor give SP to your team and supports to almost nothing for him so you wouldn't want to target him with them anyways. I wish they didn't burn him down to ashes performance wise because I was so looking forward to making him a monster hyper-carry, but they did and now that's not possible. Numbers don't lie and while Blade will never die, it would be a lie to say he performs better than any of the 4* damage dealers in the game, because he doesn't.
