I would guess the reasoning goes: * women are limited from engaging in some sexual behaviour they might like due to norms * The removal of *extreme* norms, frees up more standard norms. E.g. no sex before marriage arguably was disempowering to many women who wanted to engage in sexual behaviour I guess the question is how we want to think about sexual constraint. Personally I would like to think that most people don't *want* to engage in (that much) meaningless sex, so I think this should be the constraint. So the argument would not be "this is sleazy" but maybe "that's a bit dangerous, and not that fun in practice" An interesting point here, is that sociological research does rather suggest that sexual norms are normally created and enforced by women.

When I get married, it's gonna be to a girl that loves me and respects me, (like I will do for her), but also she will have to love herself and respect herself too. I believe that if you respect yourself, then you value yourself. When I see those people in those videos talking about themselves in that way and treating themselves like they're just objects, then I don't see them having much self-esteem. Girls are worth a lot more than just their looks, it's on the inside that counts like my pa always tells me. So I say to those girls, that if you have good looks, then heck yeah that's sick. Of course that's attractive. But while being beautiful is nice, I think something else is more important. Being beautiful on the inside, and respecting one's self. I hope that gals know that they're worth much more than just what they look like. Having the self-esteem to do that is a very nice thing. yeefrickinhaw

S Lots daughters got him drunk and took turns raping him. And my best guess as to why he offered his daughters instead of the angels is this: I don’t think he wanted the angels or his daughters to have sex with those men, but he likely felt threatened and decided to give them at least someone, so he chose his daughters instead. He probably did this because he thought a man raping a man was more unsavory than a man raping a woman. (You can agree or disagree.) The reason I believe he must’ve also been hesitant to offer his daughters was because they were both married at the time.

Feminist here who totally agrees 👋 I was shocked to see all the positive reactions to WAP, how barely anyone in the comments was criticizing it. I don’t understand how people can be so ignorant to think this, or the onlyfans culture that we’re now in, is empowering for women. I dont feel empowered at all by seeing women getting sexualised in the media, even if they claim it’s what they want to ”make bank.” What happened to fighting for being treated equally? To NOT be reduced to just sex and objectification? Our fight to be respected for our intelligence, strength, heart and brilliant minds? It makes me upset that we’re back to our daughters having to grow up with no female rolemodels in the media but those who teach them they have to sell sex and body to get anywhere, and in a world where a fat ass is more important then talent. It makes me scared to see our sons having to grow up constantly viewing women this way, and thinking it’s how we are and what we want. We’ve seen the damage it’s done before, that’s why we fought against it! It’s not feminism and it’s not empowering...
@54janete4 жыл бұрын
Leo Clark How can you claim women are treated equally when there’s literally no country in the world where women are above men, but countless of countries where a woman can’t even walk outside, earn a living or make decisions regarding her own life without a man’s permission? When women are killed just for being women? When in literally every country men generally have higher positions and earn more money, are taught they can be whatever they want and dont have the same social expectations as women. Saying sexism towards women doesn’t exist is like saying racism doesn’t exist, dont be a fool just cause you dont experience it. Feminism has taught us to stand up for ourselves, not put ourselves below men and instead do what we want with our lives instead of feeling like we can’t achieve stuff because of our gender (which is what most of us are taught when we’re kids/teens just by looking at the world). Then yes, some ”feminists” turns this into hating men as a group, mostly those on the internet, but that does not speak for all of us. Same with women who think they can keep the smaller benefits of being a woman (like social expectations of who pays etc) yet have men give up their privilege. That’s not how it works, as equal means equal for both parts. Most of the men in my life are feminists too who knows they can benefit from a more equal society as well, and because they care about women and girls. Being in close relationships with women, either as our siblings or partners or fathers or just close friends, they’ve seen what we see and can acknowledge that we dont get treated the same way as they do. You dont have to call yourself a feminist, but to claim women are treated equally and even have more privileges is just ignorant when the facts are right there.

It’s because they worship the beast, as in Satan. If God says “it’s good” then they seek to pervert and destroy it. The current state of this world makes PERFECT SENSE when viewed through the lens of Biblical Scripture. “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.” II Timothy 3:1-9 NKJV

Not that I think the song is "stunning and brave" but if women hadn't been degraded in the first place they wouldn't be trying to liberate themselves in this way. It makes a perverse sense. I've barely seen any rap videos in my life, but I knew what Cardi was trying to do with this song within the first 10 seconds. She's calling it out by exaggerating it. Feminism died when feminists chose to scream that men dressed like women were really women, over the objections of other women. Don't recall my mom ever having her prostate checked.
@spandex70554 жыл бұрын
@B Mov you have grossly missed the change in the feminist movement apparently. Many feminists side with the hysterical trans movement, in fact there is a movement within feminism that states you cant be a modern feminist if you don't support anyone or group who identifies as a victim. Thats why feminists are involved in the trans movement, immigration, the environment, gay pride....anywhere there is an intersection of victimhood grievances (intersectionality). Not only that why would women advocate for mass immigration from countries full of men with centuries long traditions of patriarchy and women are subjugated? They have no choice, thats modern feminism.

@B Mov 3rd wave feminist or what I like to call Hollywood feminists are all on board with the trans garbage, radical feminist are anti objectification, we do not believe trans women are women! we are a minority of the feminist movement. Liberal feminst DO NOT CARE ABOUT WOMEN

@@lllllllllllllllllll1838 voter fraud is extremely extremely rare in the U.S and there's no more of a chance of fraud if you vote in person than through mail. There's so many rules and precautions to avoid that.and even they do BOTH parties do that not just dems and also it's almost always caught so thats not an excuse. And well I can't vote yet im a minor but in the next election I am don't worry, even if I could I would do it through mail because I'm not idiotic enough to aid the spread of disease and put the lives of people in danger.

Just wanna say that I myself in my past had no self respect or self love, i was on drugs and stripping. It is not impowering! It was a life full of misery & pain. I had to numb myself with drugs to be able to do it, and took drugs to mask the pain from it, it was an evil cycle. Also 90% of the girls I worked with hated it and did the same, most of us came from broken homes. The others were too far gone I guess, they were hardened. Thank god I changed and turned away from that evil life& drugs. Thank you my lord Jesus christ for saving me.

This video made me cry. I counsel at a pregnancy center and I’ve met the women that the culture and these videos have influenced. They destroy their sense of worth and feed them lies that have horrendous consequences. It’s so sad. Glad to hear there are dads like you fighting and standing up for their daughters.

I don’t think women were made to be subservient and holy to men and submit to their husbands, I also don’t think that women should objectify and sexualize themselves for attention. I’m on the side no one is on, I believe women should be independent, love theirselves, and not need to show skin or be sexual to be paid attention to but rather paid attention to for her personality, brain, and intelligence. I guess this generation will never understand and until then, I’ll stand alone 🤷🏻♀️

At the end of the video he explained beautifully how wrong it is for a girl or woman to follow into the steps of these stripper/celebrities. Yes, only a life of loneliness and despair can develop from holding these ideas and ideals as great. I've seen young women grow up into bitter, unhappy, regretful people, when they let all these "feminist" ways lead their life. Very sad and spot on.
