Hi Brian, I want to primarily market my supplements in the US, but I am based in Europe. Would you recommend choosing a contract manufacturer in the US over a very large contract manufacturer in the UK (that I can easily visit and inspect) with experience in manufacturing for the US (30% of their production is exported to the US)?

Generally, and compliance wise, it’s easier to use a us-based manufacturer vs overseas.

I’m generally not a fan for startups as it’s a different “game” altogether and typically would say if you want to go overseas, it’s possible but you’ll want to vet them very well against fda requirement as customs will be looking into the inventory.

This might be a dumb question, but the manufacturers will be making the products for you? Dp you give them the ingredients and they make it?

They generally have them but in some cases you can supply them (but recommend this for seasoned brands)
