Blacksburg, VA has the highest elevation of any D-I college football town east of the Rockies and if you look at what the Virginia Tech track team has done in the past 2 decades and the utter domination put together by the Blacksburg High School cross country and track & field teams over the past 40 years then you would say that Blacksburg, VA is a much better U.S. running city than Flagstaff, AZ.

It all depends on how far you want to go in the running world and what part of the country your from , how you were introduced to running is where it starts and for us indigenous people it all comes from our grandparents not from outside the family circle . Flagstaff Az is a wonderful holistic place to be at and I’ve seen sum Olympic runners trained there and that’s the evidence there .
