This is great!! Sometimes we forget the footwork part of the game. Probably the most important.

@davidhale8034 yes I am whining, not pre-whining. This video was a pure advertisement for Yonex, masquerading as "education". This channel was awesome back when it provided great tennis education and unbiased equipment reviews. But nowadays it has become more like an advertisement fueled vlog. I wish it could go back to what it was. Ofc we are all very happy for his success on the tour but I also miss the "old channel".

Im a 4.5. This is so absolutely true, when I'm not moving well I play like a 3.5, missing easy shots, over-reaching for balls, blasting balls im not in positions to do so, etc.

As a recreational player I'm finding more and more of the benefit behind being INTENTIONAL with my footwork. This means as soon as I hit the court I'm already thinking about how to loosen up and activating fast twitch fibers in the legs. On the days I don't have a partner and I still want to get some movement in these drills will be great for me to incorporate! Thanks, Karue. Tough loss against Alves in Curitiba man. You were playing solid. Seriously had that. You got the next one. Appreciate you putting all this out there for us to follow. Not easy putting your life out there in the public eye.

A real "pusher" is a player who prioritizes safety, highest percentage tennis. however, the pusher term usually applies to people who don't have. a proper technique, just squash the ball back with no pace so you don't find your rhythm, although you know you play better tennis. i came across these types a few times and always the way to beat them is to take away time for their balls and reliably hit winners. that takes a lot of time. so usually its players who arent necessarily the quickest movers, but who destroy the speed of the game by taking it out. hence the term "pusher" and not "normal player" or "highlight reeler". no spin, no pace and you're left with your own technique or the option to go with it, which drives me mad personally. quick movers like rafa make for a fun challenge. a pusher doesn't :)

Before three years I was at a training session for tennis coaches in Hamburg, Germany. There was Toni Nadal to show some exercises his nephew did. There were the top offspring junior tennis players from germany to do these exercises. He did every single exercise for 1 minute! This is on the court in top speed a really long time. The top junior players werde dead after 20 minutes! But it shows that the great movement of Rafael Nadal is based on incredibly hard footwork training. So you guys are absolutely right! The best players always have the best footwork. Greetings from a fan from Germany.

love to see the ad-accel is in my size. Unfortunately all the other models stop at size 13 like a lot of other brands but i'll give the ad-accel a try next time I need new kicks. With large narrow feet its always a game of least bad when it comes to tennis shoes.

Is there a difference between Exercise #3 and #7? Or is it just intentionally repeated for the sake of the workout?
@kiesbett3 сағат бұрын
it is funny how "the pushers" are always mentioned as an anonymous group and nearly like an insult. no one saying loud, "hi there, i am a pusher" or something like that. but the truth is, imo, that on the recreational level you can get very far with this concept of tennis. i would not consider myself a pusher, but i found out that with cutting down the unforced errors together with good footwork and fitness has a huge impact on my tennis. much more than a little better backhand etc. it is not about the winners, it is about conistency and for that you need footwork and of course good fitness.
