Of the key reasons for force traveller not having a competition is that force motors has amortised the cost of manufacturing tools, dies and engine manufacturing ecosystem so much that any new player will not be able to compete with force without incurring heavy losses for a long time and as you have mentioned, the market is too small For anyone else to recover their investment

Exactly. The core reason of its popularity is the engine itself. They use same engine in every vehicle and most of them are passanger vehicles. This way you can literally go anywhere in India , any small machanic will have the knowledge about that engine.

Factory where I used to work was -30km away and company used to arrange transport by tempo traveller and Swaraj Mazda mini buses . I still remember most people preferred traveller for its smooth ride and comfort . Swaraj Mazda was with vibration but spacious ..

Our school had one Swaraj Mazda T3500 and one Tempo Traveller. I travelled for 2 yrs in Mazda and 2 in Tempo. Your words are absolutely true. Mazda was spacious, airy but loud. Tempo was crammed, but smooth and fast.

The only company that can challenge them is Eicher. Why Eicher? Cause there the one kicking in price to performance category of loader vehicles & also very affordable. They are capable, but their interest is only in trucks, specially mid-size trucks, which has a larger market share than traveller like vehicles.

This segment used to have more variety back in 1990, when Force had Matadors, Mahindra had FC and the Voyager. Could you please make a part 2 of this video on why those died out with time. Vans are not only used in Eastern Europe. They are a staple people mover and mover and packer vehicle in West Europe as well. In UK they also modify the vans to be campervans, which is quite unique in its own way.

most of the customers are small and they wont have money to setup charging infrastructure for charging. also it would triple the cost of van as it would require huge battery to carry so many passengers, so it is not a practical idea.

@@divitkarekar5803 I disagree, if you see all the electric cars are double to three times the price of similar petrol cars. When it comes to electric vehicle motor power is not important, 144 hp motor will not be heavy or costly but a battery to cover a decent range with given load is what is important and it's going to be very heavy and costly.Considering double to three times the price, even if you consider the maintenance cost it still does not add up, it will fit only in niche cases, which does not warrant additional development cost.

Shared transportation system is very popular in Kashmir (I'm from there) in the form of Tata Sumos and Chevy Taveras. Have seen a similar thing in Ooty with old Jeeps. Considering they're all smaller than Travellers, maybe size is the reason the sharing system doesn't work with bigger vehicles in our country, or it jumps straight to buses.

Now the quality standards are not upto the mark. I bought Force TT 17+1 str and after just 35k kms, I am facing problems in Gear Shifting. When we reached company they said water went into the engine, That is why you are facing this problem. Many new 2023 models have numerous issues in their vehicle. With their monopoly, They have degraded their quality a lot.

Well made and informative. But in the shared Taxi segment one major factor is state permit tax which is same for seating capacity of force traveller then 42 seater bus and 54 seater bus. Now if i will pay same tax then i will get max capacity bus.

India ke log public transports ke liye mini buses ka use karte hain. Yeh vans bahut chote desho mein minibuses ka hi kam karte hain. Isliye india mein iska market zada nahi hain.agar public transport mein use karte toh Ashok Leyland Eicher mahindra bhi apna van launch kar dete.

Rs. 5,000 crore Revenue and 220 crore PAT. This tempo market is very small indeed and dominated by Force motors. On the other hand even a company like skoda which is not in Top 6 four wheeler company in India is doing thrice the amount of revenue.
