I had an issue with my DPF, kept getting a message on my dash. Took it to a few places to get it cleaned but with no luck on fixing the issue. I did abit of research and came across one that mentioned the fuel vapour valve, I took out the old valve and seen it was so badly clogged up with soot. I replaced the valve with a new one and it sorted the issue out straight away. Crazy how much they cost for such a small part.

Similar to me with my exterior temp sensor on a Peugeot Boxer. I could have gone on for ever paying garages to replace various bits in the emissions system but thanks to Mr O'Riley £80 sensor from Peugeot and my time fitting it fixed the issue. The man is a legend.

Yes, forced regens have been known to destroy the honeycomb centre of the DPF, correct?

well names steve wilson just got a message back from jimmy, to book my van in ❤ he is local to me so simples , looking forward to reviews from me of 400% plus dpf levels like he has to deal with want him to show number plate have full video on, with all to see, not met him yet knows where he hangs out half mile from me, if you ever see work it its best form that should be standard in garages, even ethics how it should be 100% just open honest guy, just watching vids, i am local so looking forward to meeting Jimmy, very talented out of the box thinking man, if you watch his vids😊

I got a 2018 tourneo custom and i had a turbo go however prior to this i had the ad blue malfunction regularly pop up and disappear and pop up and computer to make codes go anyway after the turbo fixed and cleaned out it constantly comes up with exhaust filter is full driven to clean and then gets full ive had it cleaned twice and also exactly the same time the ad blue malfunction comes on any ideas before i take it back a 4th time 😫 last time was a week ago and only driven it 30 miles or so. So surely it cannot be blocked in that time. previous to the turbo the exhaust filter never came on ever. Only the ad blue malfunction

When the faultcodes p244c and p2463 are in the system you have a problem with your vaporizer. I don't understatement why none of the other shops checket the vaporizer? (When you put the codes on google you see always problems with the vaporizer!)So forced regen. doesn't work, a good shop should know this. You have first solve the problem and then you can trie a regen..

None of that makes sense to me , it must be combusting incorrectly , it would not get up to temp to do a forced regen

Seat Alhambra 2011 2.0 diesel. Dpf shows 40 kpa back pressure after forced regeneration (35 kpa before regen). Fan goes on after every trip for 5 minutes. Dealer says dpf filter should be changed. Have heard that it can as sell be catalyst clogged. Pressure sensor got changed. What would you suggest to start with?

What is the forced regeneration even for?

It's a way to clear out the DPF but only AFTER the underlying cause for a blocked DFP is fixed. Far to many people use it is "simple fix" as they don't understand how emissions systems work and can't diagnose them.

Just general combustion soot. But faulty glow plugs would increase the amount of soot

Am i correct in assuming the fuel vaporiser is fitted close to the DPF and that not all DPF vehicles have them? > Mine [transit courier] over fuels from the main injectors and has constantly rising oil levels (filling the sump with diesel). Resulting in engine failure.

@@ORileysAutos My 1.5tdi courier 69 plate has just has a new engine, and a new DPF - within 120 miles it has tried three regens. It must be either a sensor, a wiring loom or ECU issue. The main Ford dealership have not been able to cure it in 18 months.

My transit custom throws up engine malfunction service now light and shakes at idle when it gets hot. Has been to 3 mechanics. 3 forced regeneration done. 4 new injectors + clutch n flywheel and crankshaft pulley. €2000+ and problem still persists... Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

It doesn’t require regeneration….it needs a drill bit and a re map 😉
