I may dislike Fortnite (I find most BR boring and typically dislike ultra cartoony cross over filled visuals) but I see why it's popular and respect it. I'll just play more games like Hell Let Loose

Yeah, I play it but not religiously. It's very interesting how well designed the game is from a marketing and gameplay standpoint.

12:59 I disagree, as building depends in ping and training. Fair fights are determined for absence of bloom and you can make your attacker think twice if you hurt him more than he thinks he hurt you. When the shooting part depends on bloom, luck is totally involved. Is possible that the attacker player with all the advantage lose because his bloom did him not to land most of the shoots and he opponent is luckier or have better weapon.

Precisely, that’s what makes building fair. If you train your building properly then most likely the higher skilled builder will win the engagement. It has somewhat to do with Ping but unless you’re clocking in above 90ms I’d say it has minimal impact. Unless you’re talking competitive, in which case it’s a bigger deal.

@@primepete as far as I know (I don't build at all, that it is part of the advantage of the game for me, build is just another tool) but for one of the basic movement in the meta of boxing that it is replacing walls, and there ping is so important than 1 ms can make the difference.

@@primepeteNope. I have being playing for more than 3 years a total of more than 7 thousand hours if I believe Epic launcher without building more than some loose ramps to go to high places... I only build in STW (my fav class is constructor). I cannot avoid it, I don't have the instinct to build a wall when under fire, I usually run for cover or fire back... or both. I play stealthy always keeping some cover near... And I enjoy it a lot that way, I love the more crazy items, but I don't use mobility much. Most of my friends play Zero Build, but I feel is harder as other players play nearly the same way than me. Playing that way I usually surprise builders and defeat them. Fire and explosives are my friends too. I noticed I was "weird" watching other players playing (is hard to teach an old dog new tricks) then I started recording and editing some replays more for remembering them with friends and family than looking to be a youtuber. I always tell people that you can play FN without building (probably not competing) but I have the feeling that most of the time they think I am joking.

Me too-well, I do and I don’t. Every update nurtured the building and they always encouraged us to get faster. However, Fortnite has turned into a game that by definition is just full of ridiculous things. And after spending months to a year complaining about how so many things are so easy for noobs to abuse and easily kill better players, I’ve reached a better conclusion that Fortnite is built for the player to abuse and have fun using the wild things the put into the game.
