What we as gamers since childhood dont understand is that how we were conditioned to be good at video games step by step, be it controlling a character in 3d space, or color red means it will blast, or yellow wall means it can be climbed or broken etc. for a non gamer the learning curve is really difficult. I recently tried this with my girlfriend, she hasnt played any games and always thought of games from the pov of pubg and kids. But when she played some of my beginner recommendations like telltale games, life is strange, slay the princess, and slowly transitioned to watching me play some story driven AAA like uncharted or rdr2 or witcher3, she got it. She even became obsessed with stories lores and the characters. She still doesnt get rpg mechanics or inventory management or any other n number of complicated things in big games which comes naturally to us gamers but she is learning to enjoy them. One plus was that she is a reader, so stories n mysteries drove her to complete games n learn along patiently. But for new genz non gamers who have short attention span, or kids who are obsessed with fast paced games only like pubg free fire its a bit difficult making that transition.

I think the reason why people choose to play games, has also to do with the feeling that you matter, because in many instances you are around people but you feel you are not really needed. You might be a good option to have but never a priority for the pack. This is where the games hit differently when you are in the virtual world you get a sense that you matter, your choices matter, your actions have an impact over the world you are immersed. You know that with enough effort you are going to face the challenges no matter how difficult they are, if you do something with passion you will surely overcome the hurdles, but in real life things don't go that way.

Yes due to generation gap they haven't experience game in their time and something new which they never use will be negative for them as they don't know whether it is good or bad. Also the credit for bad reputation goes to our tv media as they glorify game as bad or it make you violent and due to some addicts the whole industry is seen from bad perspective and e-sports should be diverse rather than stuck in 1-2 Games as our Indian has much more potential but they don't get exposure to other games like Dota 2 or League of League etc. and also YT is of full Childish content in India like taking delivery of KTM in GTA V or looping the same challenge in Minecraft and the audience also support it rather than opposing it and bringing new game.

@@rotar2386 Meri gaming first mobile se like Nokia phone playing Snakes, Beach races in 2012 and 2013 .First smartphone in our family came in 2015 Samsung On 5 in which I played only Asphalt nitro trial edition then when jio come I get to know about play store but not download game as it is new to me then in 2017 Started playing Gangster Vegas, PUBG MOBILE Beta version which one of the best experience in my gaming journey. But due to some addicts spending money in PUBG M my parent restrict my gaming time as they think I will do somewhat that but I can't even play the game properly as I don't know how to play it as never opened KZbin and search for Pubg mobile tips and tricks. But before covid I got this machine Ideapad 130-15ikb 4gb ram 1 tb HDD pretty great for a 12 year boy who don't know anything about computer and 1 tb hdd and 4gb ram will very good for that time I think. Then before Pubg ban I get to know about custom setting and control. After ban I started playing in laptop but Games are form Download Shop(More like Pirate Shop) as I don't know how to install games in PC as my cousin get it from their local computer store. My first pc game will gta vice city then Halo 1 only one mission as it is demo version then I know about site from YT where we get free game. I download COD MW2 it is one of best campaign I ever had. Then during covid I get into PUBG KR scrims customs playing 6-7 hour just for some tournament then I saw about GTA V and I am blown as I never seen that type of graphics before and it is 2021 and now I find out that game. It's like a dream game in real for me at that time. Then slowly due to 9th and 10th I quit gaming do other GFX Work, Studies and get to know about Steam and buying games from it (Not playing) from my Designing Work and here today playing Indie title and Open World Games if I get time to.(I am in 12th 😅now )

After watching this I feel lucky cause my parents never took gaming as issue. Even my father himself bought me pc, 8bit console and PS2. Many relatives and neighbours tried to manipulate my parents by saying games are waste of time, it can effect studies and 'marks'. But my parents always ignored them. Even my dad himself use to play SmackDown vs row on PS2 with me. Helping me to complete games. They know that gaming is form of entertainment and by proper parental guidance for gaming can help child for self development...... I play video games also I enjoy outdoor games. I have friends to spend time. Games never affected my social and academic life instead I learn so many things form it.

All the historical knowledge i have its not because some boring history classes I attended in school, rather its because of a renowned game series- assassins creed A good game is like a good story, those who played mass Effect series, bioshock series, Assassins creed series and some underrated games like Spec ops the line etc will realise what im talking about... Those games had stories so deep you will never be able to forget them. Gaming helps with hand eye coordination, and its a proven fact, playing games hep a lot in the jobs that require great hand eye coordination ... I liked your content and i appreciate gaming i am in class 12. I started playing games in class 9th my parents used to acold me because i played 2 hours daily i have played games like god of war , spiderman,the walking dead and many more great experiences my parents were confident that a child who plays video games all the time can't score well in examination when my board results in class 10 th came out they were shocked i scored 93% they were shocked . I just want to say what you said that games are the best mode of entertainment. I enjoy playing games and i will continue that whether someone says anything about it . I just want to highlight one major point that maximum people in india don't try variety of games they just keep playing pubg and free fire and say everything is thrash . This is why young people are losing interest in gaming as well . If i was a parent and my child played a video game i would have no problem but if he or she spent like 2000 hours on the same game then it would be a problem i want this generation of india to try variety of games .

This is why i stopped listening to anyone when they advice me against. Mai kehta hu ki usa itna develop hai aur waha pe to koi gaming ko kuch nhi kehta, yaha india kya develop hua hai. Ye sun ke bohot log kuch nhi bolte. Are agar game nhi samaj aate to hame kyu rok rahe ho.
