I had a really solid epiphany that I can't remember all of from a while back, but the gist of it is that the "garbage noise" isn't directly tied to Gaster. It's actually some sort of interference noise that comes from trying to communicate between dimensions. That's why it's all you can hear when Kris uses their phone to call anyone from the Dark World. If Gaster is stuck a layer deeper than a Dark World like the current theories speculate, it would also explain why Spamton's final phone call was also garbage noise. It would explain why Entry 17 has it in the background, if it's being sent to us from another dimension (remember that the only way to access Entry 17 is to manually edit your room ID in Undertale's files). And it could explain why it's at low intensity behind the bunker doors: if the bunker leads to a Dark World that's been open this whole time with a dark fountain spewing since Dess's disappearance, it's possible you'd be able to detect the dimensional interference of it just from being close by.

8:15 You actually forgot to mention something here. The "Don't Forget" image isn't the only thing in this drawer, there's actually multiple things you can find in this drawer. The default thing you find if you interact with it is "photos of Sans with a lot of people you don't recognize". However, if you interact with clamgirl, after she tells you about suzy, if you go back to the drawer and check it, you find the "don't forget" drawing. At the end of the pacifist route if you check the drawer, you find a picture of yourself and all your friends. Just thought this was some interesting info you left out, since people literally only talk about the dont forget drawing nowadays.

10:03 It's always been strange to me how promiment the "Gaster fell into the Core" theory is. To me, it always made much more sense for the "creation" that Gaster fell into to be the mysterious machine in San's workshop - with the machine being some kind of space and/or time travel machine. This would line up much better with a couple other mysterious bits of info we've gotten on Gaster. 1: It makes much more sense for Gaster to have ended up spread across all of space and time if he fell into a machine that manipulates space and time, rather than just a big energy generator like the Core. 2: It would explain why Sans has been trying so desparately to fix the machine under the tarp for so long - to get his father back. Sure, Sans shouldn't have any knowledge about Gaster since he was erased. But, Sans is also notoriously able to accuratlely put together what's happening when timespace anomolies are in play even when he doesn't actually have the exact information, like him being able to perfectly predict what Frisk has done in previous saves. I'm sure he's noticed he just never had a dad. 3: It fits with the whole "Sans and Papyrus are originally from Deltarune" theory, with the green grass and the boys appearing from seemingly nowhere and whatnot. A machine that can travel through time/space/dimensions/whatever would be a pretty good explanation for how that was accomplished.

I always took it that Sans remembered because he might have been working with Gaster when he fell into his creation, so he saw it happen with his own eyes and became incredibly more aware of reality, he also has that picture of three smiling people, the skeletons are always smiling so one could assume that it was him, papyrus, and Gaster, and that the "don't forget" note is so that he doesn't forget his father

I think the "Gaster fell into the Core" theory is more prominent than anything else is. How would you explain the Gaster follower and goners? If you theorize that the machine in the back is the cause, then it's kind of confusing and weird how a lot of different people are also affected by the machine, some not even having a connection to Gaster other than the fact that they're seemingly spread through time and space as well. It would make sense that the Core would be what he fell into, considering the "fell into his own creation" and it being one of the things that are stated to be specifically made by Gaster and it being easier to assume that people accidentally fell into the Core, like Goner Kid and Clamgirl (though Clamgirl is a very strange case of a goner). Oh my god, might have wrote too much but this is all just what I thought could explain why the "Gaster fell into the Core" theory is so popular. Hope you have a good day! Everyone in the fandom is going to collectively implode when they realize that the stone statue that was displaced from the *fountain* in Undertale, turns out to actually be Gaster who turned to stone after attempting to return to Undertale upon fleeing the Deltarune timeline at the end of the game. His face has shattered and there are bits and pieces laying about the ground. “I’m holding a piece of him right here!” Not to mention Gaster’s connection with the number 666 and the fact that the elevator shafts in Hotland feature humanoid ears and horns which bear a striking resemblance to the statue’s. They don’t match Asgore or Asriel’s horns.

​@@TeamTrainWreck That statue is just a representation of Asriel just as the song indicates, which is the only thing you should trust about Toby: the music. That's his thing, unlike the art. It would make no sense for him to link the motif to the statue if it turned out to be a completely different character, much less Gaster when he seems to be someone very important, maybe not for Undertale as such, but for the game that he really wanted to make from the beginning even before Undertale, which is Deltarune. Also, I think people make too much of a deal about the horns and their shape. Toby literally forgot that for some reason Asriel as a kid has horns for a moment in the fallen child being found scene, when in the next picture where Asriel lifts Chara off the ground he doesn't have them anymore lol Now that being said, I don't think Redacted is Gaster either, all the stuff you weren't supposed to see by getting into the game's code and playing around with the test rooms has nothing to do with the final product, that is what you can actually see in game like fun events, even though they may be more or less difficult to experience yourself depending on probability. Something seen by people who go to check the game code for possible secrets was never Toby's intention, now he knows it and even uses it to his advantage in Deltarune, like leaving things like dialogue that people assume is Dess.

The Shopkeeper dialogue is far from the only evidence for sans and Papyrus being from Deltarune. A very consistent motif with sans is the idea of a home he can’t return to. He mentions it at the Hotel diner saying he ’knows the feeling’ of wanting to go home, and in his fight he says he ’gave up trying to go back a long time ago’, and it’s made clear he’s not referring to the surface because the next line states that the surface doesn’t really appel anymore either, implying that it’s separate from wherever he wants to return to. So, sans and Papyrus appeared in Snowdin at some point (not too long ago unless the Shopkeeper’s older than she seems), from some place they can’t return to anymore. sans has a photobook full of people Frisk doesn’t recognise and in it there’s a specific photo with three people and the words ’Don’t forget’. sans also has a machine which is broken and the purpose of which is unknown. Deltarune has a trio of protagonists; Kris, Susie, and Ralsei (like the three people in the picture) Papyrus does not recognise the sun in True Pacifist ending, which wouldn’t make sense if he was from the surface world of Deltarune, if it wasn’t for the fact that Toby’s so far deliberately had Papyrus stay fully in doors in Deltarune. Add to all this the Gaster connections sans and Papyrus have, and Gaster’s heavy presence in Deltarune, and you get a very compelling argument for the following theory; sans and Papyrus were in the world of Deltarune before they were in the world of Undertale, whether that’s their ultimate origin world is disputable and unknown. They met Gaster in Deltarune’s world (whom had already been scattered in Undertale’s world), and at some point during Deltarune’s events they will be sent off to Undertale after having played some part in the story, and received a picture of the main trio.

2:57 this point also reminds me of a voice file within the original undertale game, titled abc_123_a.ogg when the game first released, it was seemingly evident that people were going through the game files and finding secrets, so the file was intended to be found by those players. it was an amalgamate (literately) of different pitched voices, some high pitched, some whispering, and even some singing, in that same sound font that is presumed here to be gaster. it forewarned the consequences of talking about spoilers online, even taunting the player, before cascading into disembodied laughter-- lines like "no one will be impressed", and "it will be your fault" being the most notable. since the game was spoiled anyway, if you return to that same file, it is just the laughter on loop forever. it's an eery and foreboding aspect of the original undertale game, and how there's an awareness to our curiosity and power -- how can interact and are aware of these aspects of the game, like gaster, but despite all that, he still holds the upper hand since he knows very well what is exactly going on in both games, more than we do. it's so neat :,)

i will mention one thing that hasn't been mentioned in either videos, its two secret audios in undertale's files that are VERY much tied with gaster. the first file is jumbled varied TTS voices forming up dialogue about not wanting to share secrets about the game. the second one came out that came out after this was discovered (from my memory of this happening i could be wrong) that people suspect said "HAPPY PEOPLE" with each syllable of the words in different TTS voices as well. this is DEFINITELY somewhat linkes to gaster as his voicebox in undertale is parts of different TTS voices put together in different voices which makes it sound more unique than every other dialogue we've heard in the game. (also partly the same TTS we hear in the deltarune chapter 1 opening) it also seems to be talking directly to the player about the game which gaster is 1. pretty much aware everything is part of a game from his followers and 2. has talked directly to us before through the twitter posts and at the start of deltarune chapter 1. it really shows how distant gaster is from the game's world to our own as he fell out of time and space and is communicating to this world via unusual means but still somewhat linked to the game. it's a really cool detail i'm a little shocked wasn't brought up!

@@Zosso-1618 Only one follower mentions the Core. It's the same one that says he fell into his own creation, so it's understandable why this was thought to refer to the Core. The three followers give their own little retelling of what happened when Gaster disappeared. If you combine their stories, it would read something like this: "One day, his experiments went wrong and he fell into his creation. They say he shattered across time and space." So it could logically still work if he was doing some kind of experiment with the Core at the time. But the dark world creation theory is more interesting considering what we know from Deltarune now and what is mentioned in Entry 17.

It's legit crazy how many addendums could be made for gaster evidence, hints and theories, it could actually make me go insane. The sweepstakes just being filled with odd references and even a blatant Darker yet Darker quote. The egg/tree man connections. Like the possible reference to the tree in the true lab of undertale and the fact that the theme for "man" is a yume nikki track for seccom masada, who together with Uboa resembles Gaster a lot. The layout of the first tree room even mirros the mystery man room quite a bit. And the way to access these tree rooms feels like a nod to the Uboa encounter, where you also have to leave and enter a room over and over again. Then there is the possibly coincidental fact that "egg" in WingDings spells out the moveset a *kight* chess piece would make. Eggs in general are weird in Undertale and deltarune and turn my brain to mush thinking about it. Even Mystery Man's head just looks like a cracked egg now. And then there are the Memory Heads in the true lab that are super mysterious and their "Bad Memory" item that fits the theme of "Don't Forget" and even behave similarly to the egg in Deltarune. Absolute wild stuff and reading this without knowing the games makes me sound like an insane person. Can't wait for the next chapter, I'm basically starving at this point.

It should be noted that there actually are actual several pieces of evidence which imply that the Egg Man is Gaster, or at least some weird fragment of him. 1.) The Egg is described as being “not too important, not too unimportant.” This is the same kind of grammatical structure that Seam uses to describe what Jevil said after Gaster corrupted him. “He started saying things that didn’t completely make sense… But didn’t completely NOT make sense, either.” 2.) Normally DEVICE_CHOICE-the object which provides the “YES” and “NO” options for Gaster’s Vessel creation sequence-is set to 1. However, if you manually set it to an undefined value, it instead gives you “EGG.” Setting it to 2 also gives you the same thing, alongside other good types such as “DAIRY” and “VEGETABLE.” 2.) On one of Noelle’s blog pages in the $pamton $weepstakes, she recalls a time that the Egg Man gave her an egg via Cat Petterz 2. She states that this Egg was simply labelled “SPECIAL,” and all-caps happens to be a signature speaking quirk of Gaster. 4.) Lastly, Noelle ends her blog post by stating that the Egg had a name, but that she couldn’t remember it. Gaster himself is tied to the concept of being forgotten, as none of the monsters (with the single exception of River Person) seem to be capable of recalling him and his achievements.

Everything in the letter has stuff that are literal signature from gaster and gaster alone, the all caps, spacing, weird speech, he literally says if we're enjoying deltarune since he is the one that it's giving us the game through Twitter and stuff, and more. The only not gaster thing is the less creepy and more friendly tone, which is easily understandable in both English and Japanese because this is the first time we are seeing something from him that isn't a formal report or conversation, it's gaster writing a friendly valentine letter. The question is moreso, is the guy that is speaking to us on Twitter, the goner maker sequence and the letter gaster, or someone else? Everyone has always been sure the first cases is gaster, so the letter is too.

i think it’s highly unlikely that papyrus has been to the surface or is from deltarune, considering a line he says at the end of true pacifist undertale. he asks sans what the glowing ball in the sky is, to which sans replies telling him it’s the sun, and papyrus says that he can’t believe he finally got to meet the sun. this wouldn’t make sense if he’d been to the surface before; anyone who’s been there would be well acquainted with the sun.

Papyrus definitely knows what the sun is - he mentions if you inspect his racecar bed he wants to drive around with the wind in his hair and the sun on his skin. He's most likely just lying to keep his origins a secret, overcompensating by pretending he doesn't even know what the sun is.
