The difference is that LGB individuals generally sought equal treatment, and if someone didn’t accept them, they would often move on without expecting everyone’s agreement. In contrast, QT individuals want total acceptance, expecting not just tolerance but full support and discouraging any disagreement or rejection.

Basically we have a huge swathe of people who are confusing the concept of personality with gender. Its really that simple.

In yankville, the "trans" population represents just 0.5% of the general population. That's 1:200 people. Statistically, you have a higher risk of getting in a car accident today than you do, seeing a "trans" person. The driving forces are not confusion about personality. That isn't really a factor here. Instead we see distinct cohorts amongst this group. • You have the people with genuine gender dysphoria, a mental health symptom of a larger mentall illness &/or severe trauma. Ironically they have become the minority in this group. • You have the people doing it for sxl gratification which include several distinct sub-cohorts. • You have the people using "trans" as modern day so called "gay conversation therapy". • You have the people using it as a means of corruption to bypass a system, law or other barrier, be that a criminal trying to get into a womens prison/get special treatment, a failed athlete trying to get into women's sport, or some other means of using the designation. • You have the people (largely minors and young adults) who are doing it as a social media fad. • You have the ideologues who do it in solidarity with their ideological base as an extreme means to fit in and be accepted. • You have the parents (mostly mothers) unhappy with the sx of their child (usually male) and whom then see this as a means of getting the child they wanted. Postpartum sx selection if you will. They account for almost all of the "trans kids" under 10. These are the key cohorts. As you can see with so many competiting and vastly different motivators this has become a complex issue that requires nuance. However, given the tiny proportion of society affected it isn't an issue that should effect societal change.

I'm happy, I was born in the 80s, I played with Dolls as boy (6-7), but the motivation was my little casanova phase, girls like dolls, I like girls, let's play with the dolls to be with the girls and at that time girls used to play with dolls until 14-15, I was the happiest 6-7 year old in the neighborhood 😁 Knowing my mother, she would have try to push me to be a girls, it was the kind of person who told her friends, when I was 19 and learned I had a girlfriend. @8:25 I have a friend who at the ripe age of 30 decided to go from a girlie glamor girl to a they/them. As she did, her speech changed significantly, at least during the early days (we aren't friends now for different reasons....kinda, the transition did affect it because as non-queer, I wasn't really welcome anymore). I remember her seeing this girl walking down the street--and she was very clearly female in her dress and appearance--and my friend going "I really like that...person's bag." There was this massive hesitation as she said it, like she was forcing herself not to say "This woman's bag" or "her bag." As you say, "not assuming gender" always comes across as being "Ok, right, I need to say this now" or done when people want to make a show of virtue as it's never ever natural.

I don't deny the financial incentives for the activists, but the source of the broader chaos is deeper than that. The gay marriage argument that carried the day in the minds of most people was "who are you to define marriage." But who is anyone to define anything? Once people embraced idea that definitions are absurd, it meant they also embraced the erasure of the definitions for "man" and "woman."

Back then gay men didn't even want marriage, it was completely outside of their preferred lifestyles. Believe it or not, it was actually lesbian activist groups in places like San Francisco combined with churches who pushed gay marriage on them because of the massive amount of money to be made. Had a friend and supported his right to get married. Then it changed to marriage was a way to oppress and force gender roles on part of the community. For years all I heard was he just wanted to get married. Just wanted equality. Then quickly the marriage act was a short sighted half act meant to victimized. I was like f u. I almost regret any support I’ve given in the past at this point because of the way parts of the community moved the goal posts.

Thank you Zuby. I've been moderate left my entire life, and this was the first election I sat out of since the left just doesn't represent my values anymore. Neither does the right though. I have values on both "sides". A lot of people do. Life requires nuance and that's been lost in today's society.
