Honestly the reason genji is fun is because of his unique and mobile gameplay. There’s never a still moment as genji and you’re always doing multiple things. Since you have good mobility you can constantly be in the backline or back in your team or switching between the 2 in a second.

a little late but you can deny ram punches but you wont reflect the damage back :) and yeah most projectiles are deflectable, including moira's skill orb and projectile ults but not sig rock. NOT SIG ROCK UGHHHHH i can deflect grav but not a damn rock smh

A thing that encourages good players to play Genji is the never-ending energy. As Pharah, when a firefight ends, you go back down, and regroup with a support. As Soldier, you dash away and heal up. As Genji, you constantly need to use your mobility to get to flanks and high grounds through nooks and crannies to reposition. In and out of battle, Genji demands the player's attention.

I will never forget the night they allowed bastion back into overwatch 2. He and ashe we're in the corner I just jumped over. We all three panicked. Bastion went assault mode and started brrting. Ashe started blasting and I started deflecting. I was the only one standing at the end of that reflect and saw the achievement pop up... It was glorious and confusing and beautiful. Also do Winston. yes!! i think a 20% buff to his movement speed while using his blade would do the trick nicely, and fix the game sync bc right now what u see and what the enemy sees is very diferent (or perhaps its just a SA servers thing) and thats really harmful for the game, bc one time i was going against a hanzo and i went up a wall to try and dodge him and he headshoted me, but when i saw the killcam, he killed me while i was just walking, ik that last part isnt a Genji problem but i dont care and it needs a fix.

Giovanni can u pls explain me why Blade is bad now? The only argument ive heard from u why blade is bad is bc they r not grouped up anymore but that is not true (The only time we were in a flank meta was in the Genji meta) + even if they were not grouped up and u couldnt "kill 3 people with one swing" u can still slash n dash and kill at least 3 people with ease if u now the util they have used (like in the beginning of ur vid) and if u have good movement (In the intro u would have easily gotten the hanzo + the Kiriko if u just have used ur dashreset of ur ult (there was no reason why u shouldnt have dashed there, its the same time if u slash + slash as u slash + dash + slash and then with the kill of kiriko u could have dashed into safety or into the hanzo and then just slash + slash with maybe a wallclimb or doublejump or crouch or anything)... I think they should increase (NERF) the cost of Blade from ~2000 to 2500 and buff his shurikens from 27dmg to 28dmg so that he can still do his combos but so he cant miss any shurikens for his combo and increase the "shuriken magazine" to 27. If its a troll vid then sry im bad at catching sarkasm lmao!

I’ve been playing Roadhog and Hammond as my mains in ow2 since the game’s release in October, if you will make a video on any of em can you talk about why Roadhog went from being mid to high tier in season 1 before zarya, Sombra, genji and dva nerfs and suddenly became nigh omnipotent, second in annoyance and tankiness to orisa in season 2? And if you’re talking about ball just, I can guarantee as someone with over 60 hours on him he is dogshit and needs massive damage buffs.

I'm fine where Genji is currently. What I wasn't fine with was the ammo nerf. With the reduced damage if you don't succeed in killing someone, you get to reload for an eternity leaving you extremely vulnerable. It happens so much more with two less shots. Genji is still fun, I still love playing him. It's just annoying how he's finally good, and then they nerf him meanwhile sojourn has been ruining the game for the past 3 months. There are far more soft counters to Genji, 3 for each role but no his nerfs were a priority over the 4 shot, right click, dead.

The thing about Genji in his current state is that he takes too much effort to get the same value as other characters do with half of the effort. The nerfs raised his skill floor, but also made him really underwhelming in comparison to doing the same things on a character like Echo. I feel like he'd be in a good spot if they made his blade damage go back to 120 or increased the movement speed boost to 40% and increased his ammo to 30.

Literally just revert the dmg nerf, fixes the breakpoints again. Ammo can stay as is because if your aim is good youll still get value from increased damage. Just increasing ammo will still feel bad because you just shoot 30 wet noodles instead of 24

The issue You kinda failed your engage in the beginning of the video is that you were Too long in the air, you would probably survive if you did it most likely like this: using ult, slash,dash into the ground, Turn around and slash second time killing kiriko, then you would be facing hanzo with deflect ready. But thats purely theory, what matters is that you tried your best

For me genji is always a feels good when everything works out perfectly hero. When there is no weirdo kiriko bells or sojourn slides or just junkrat he can be really fun yet still challenging to play. However when things don't tend to go your way it feels like the world hates you and everytime you are about to get a kill a kiriko shows up out of nowhere and denies you. Or some random crazy movement ability makes it impossible to catch your target. That's when you gotta ask why you don't just run a easy meta hero (or at least one that is easier than genji)

I have a completely diffrent opinion on this topic (Im a sad Genji main) I agree on the part were its fun to play Genji and seeing the improvement on a char that u were bad at is extremely satisfying but and that Genjis skillceiling got higher is obviously right but the reward for mastering Genji is way to low. I agree with u that Genjis skillceiling is now perfect but the endresult u get is just way to low when u see a sojourn killing everyone in ur backline from 20 meters away even after the nerfs(Mercy pocket) or Roadhog just hooking u when u try to dive or ult and the only way Genji is remotly strong is when he is nano blading (Hook cant kill u + Slash n Dash combo so that u dont get slept every time u want to ult). The part when u said stuff about the blade bad because u have to go close range isnt thought through, i mean Genjis whole kit is around diving squishies, making a combo that isnt possible anymore, then dashing with ur reseted dash back in safety and pocking dmg for some ult charge or an opportunity to dive so u have to go close range if u want consistent solo kills and that is a constent risk that got 10 times higher without his combos and fewer shuriken to waste. They just nerfed the wrong part of his kit, everyone was complaining about the passiv and the nano blade not the shurikens, because now his by far his ultimate which is ok but the training u have to endure to get something out of his shurikens when there r so many counter/better options like Junk or Reaper or Pharah (Mercy pocket) or Torb who just dont need a brain to play or even Sojourn who has a lower skill ceiling with more reward. And the part where Genjis Blade should have movement increase, bro he already has that (30% increase which is MORE than enough) TL;DR The skillceiling on Genji is perfect but the reward for mastering Genji is to low.

The problem is this set a president hes still gets value but it's so much harder that if you just pick another hero you will get insanly more value because almost everyone is a generalist, 1 tricks are rare to get enough value to trade off for just using meta. I agree with your vidoe but genji is almost like ball, ball is very bad but good balls are scary but he still needs buffed. And the change to blade I would make is up damage to 130 to 135 and up the time to 8 seconds but he can't benefit from any damage boost like mercy ana or zen

You know, Genji mains allways are making amazing things with him. The reason why we all are mad on Blizzard is simply because Genji can never be good enought aka Meta for more than 2 weeks. Even if it's not his "fault" like when Ana was realised, Blizzard nerfs him. That's why today we have memes like "Oh So you say Deadeye is the worst ultimate in the game as people think it is 100% kill while it can miss? That sounds like we need to nerf Genji." When in League of Legends for years people was meming "Akali is too strong? Better nerf Irelia" in Overwatch change the first character with anyone (Mostly Sojourn) and second with Genji. It's not the fact that Genji needs high skill to be good pick that makes mains angry but the fact Blizzard treats him like unwanted Child. Whenever he is not silently somehow living but actually doing something, he get's beaten by the "parent".
