Agreed! I also have a Russian / British boonie that has a slightly shorter brim. It’s a Sniper / Scout style? It’s supposed to be good for shooting too.

Hats and SPF 30 (minimum) are part of my daily wear. Too many scars on my face already, yes cancer surgeries. Life guard in my teens driving as an adult lots of sun exposure. I have a couple of boonies but prefer a broader brim.

My hair currently, doesn’t provide as much UV sun protection as it used to. 😉 Hats are definitely part of my EDC now.
