As any high school student knows, girls can be really mean.. almost animalistic in their viciousness. And so, when researchers went in search for what's behind this behavior, they turned to the animal kingdom for answers.

It's always a better experience to hangout with both men and women. You will have a better understanding of both parties because you will have experience dealing with both people. It isn't 100% guaranteed that every single group of girls will have this tension between them because of competition for a guy but it is damn close. I would welcome the possibility of girls being in a group, having each other's backs and not doing this Mean Girls crap but this is all driven by sex.

That's because the information in this video runs against the neo-feminist narrative, that women are pure and saintly when the data is suggesting otherwise. They would rather remain aloof and subversive and hold steadfast in their beliefs than actually contend with the issue.
@tedmcfly
@tedmcfly 7 жыл бұрын
and what , pray tell, is an actual feminist?
@LB-ou8wt
@LB-ou8wt 7 жыл бұрын
Alex Barba A feminist is anywhere between just wanting women to vote and have equal legal status, to believing that women should get paid more than men to make up for the patriarchy or man-hating. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd wave (what we see now with the SJW's and crazy, oversensitive, overcorrecting feminism). So you can be a feminist who doesn't agree with 3rd wave feminism.

At no point have I connected myself with feminism or called myself a feminist. Both of my comments were nothing but a neutral, factual observation and the other the explanation of the range of feminism and the people the range of beliefs of the feminists in our world. Did I say I was one? No. So how have I "connected myself" with gender terrorists (which obviously are a small number of self-proclaimed "feminists" in the first place)

@Siberius-
@Siberius- 8 жыл бұрын
Jealousy isn't the take away.. that's an excuse people make to make themselves feel better whenever someone doesn't like them or being mean.. but in this case they're just naturally bitchy it seems or they see you as a threat to their work or you're just not in their little social group so they don't like you or maybe you just don't get along with them.. plenty of other reasons.. it's rarely about actual jealousy I find. Especially since women who are more attractive and have more money and a partner and everything can still be bitchy for various reasons. And men. Edit: I'm muting this thread now, so no more replies from me.

This is why its easier for me to trust men. For the most part, its really easy to tell if a guy is mad at you or not cause they don't usually hide their anger, if they're upset they'll express it. Whereas if a woman is mad at you, she might be fake nice to you or passive aggressive and you'll never know what she's saying behind your back and if you ever truly likes you..

RoxyLuffer Better wording would be "The one whom the heart adores is ever the most beautiful", so if a woman who adores herself and IS striking is constantly comparing herself to others, SHE is viewing herself as unattractive. THAT's a major area where all this "competition" comes from; instead of liking themselves and thus being happy, they are focusing on the competition of others and seeing them as threat needlessly.

RedX1000 You sure about that? There are many different philosophies of feminism; many different people involved. Abolishing gender stereotypes will heal men's situations as well. Our struggles go hand in hand against societal role, categorization, and stereotypes, to be recognized as people before anything else. Those who blame men, think men are inferior, and discriminate based on gender are not feminists, even if they call themselves such. They are but harmful perpetuators; no different than the patriarchal structure and sexist perceptions of gender they are trying to fight.

+HentaiSweetie The part that is upsetting isn't that evolutionary speaking men are expendable. The part that is upsetting is how often feminists don't even bother talking about the unique challenges men have to face. As if it's not an issue. Being evolutionary expendable is for the most part a uniquely male experience. And it can suck. Big time.

+Virginia Kettles I guess it's sexual competition. Pregnant women need someone to care for them in the wild. They would often die from child birth, so the value they put on their sexual partners is much greater then men. Men could in theory impregnate a dozen women in a day, without any obligation to them. So I would guess that that would make the instinct for sexual competition is much more intense in women. Of course not every single woman will be like this, but we're talking tendencies here.

Yeah, honestly, this is pretty accurate. I know I find myself feeling initially spiteful towards other women that I find "hotter" than myself....granted I recognize it so I'm mindful to ignore it (unless they turn out to be really dumb or bitchy). But yeah, regardless of how my self esteem is doing at any given time, I rarely immediately decide I like other stereotypically "hot" women.

I've been good friends with females for almost my entire life, and just as I am about to hit puberty, I have already noticed girls forming social groups. But here's the catch: These groups are hostile to male influence, even though the males are technically their sexual target, so it's technically throwing what you want right at you, and then you decline it. Can you guys explain that?
@LogEekumanAgination
@LogEekumanAgination 8 жыл бұрын
+loneevergreen Humans are weird illogical creatures. We always want most what we cant have. If a group of girls is hostile towards men that tends to increase their desirability and thus their status. Socially their status increases since other people see they are more desirable. Sexually their status increases since more men now want them and will bring them resources for a chance to mate with them. It's not just girls that can find jerks more attractive. Guys can totally find mean girls more attractive if it makes them seem more "unobtainable." My explanation at any rate

In terms of biology, men are far more expendable. You lose all but one man, your group/tribe can recover its numbers quickly. You lose all but one female, and you're pretty much gone as a tribe. In reproduction there's always going to be one gender that is more valuable for a species continuation, albiet both are important, and all of this is irrelevent in terms of more developed societies. Don't worry about it, you aren't expendable.

We girls are all the time fighting when we're in the same room, who's prettier, smarter, wittier, gets most attention. Even tho it looks like we're nice and friendly, the whole fight happens quite under the table while men, this one particular thing about them really impresses me is that they keep it so real, they do not put up any fake smile, get physical when they are angry and fight it out with healthy aggression while we women are never allowed to be real with our instinct and just agree with the fact that we all girls here are nice and friendly and we are laughing all the time while at the same we hate each other's guts and express our anger in an unhealthy manner by being passive aggressive and a sweet knife and be competive about everything.

Women get this mysterious phenomenon called "anger" and "annoyance" when stressed or provoked. It's channeled in the socially acceptable way of passive aggression. Whenever a woman has her period, her body sheds most of the estrogen and progesterone that was stored in her uterus; therefore testosterone is the hormone most prevalent during menstruation. This is when more direct aggression or displays of anger/annoyance is likely to take place.

This video seem to be based on nature. I think a lot of the problems lies in a few things but i'm still trying to understand. First women are the ones who need to understand the inner workings of the human, like emotional, mental, psyche, ect. because they are the teacher of such to the offspring. With that being said, we live in a world that operates on the outter world, (body, material, possession, class, profiling, skin color, ect) and from I understand women are also the very social creatures, they enjoy facts (which we seem to label drama sometimes) and are flexible. Now i'm saying this based on the female nature and not just a female in general. I must also state that I have been learning a great deal of history and women have been suppressed/sub human and it's interesting how we act because of this new thing (which is starting to prove that we have issues with change) -- Just my thoughts!

When men fistfight and physically injur each other it's considered "manly" and even admirable to some men. Why the is the female form of aggression as used on each other such a terrible thing? I don't support or condone physical or mental/emotional abuse but honestly women receive much more criticism for their natural form of aggression than men... Why? Someone mentioned, in disgust, please note, that there are shows devoted to women fighting in a passive aggressive fashion however they seemed to forget that men have shows portraying male aggression and even promoting it as legitimate sports... Wrestling or boxing. I would appreciate respectful input...

Yes, shunning is passive-aggressive bullying. Ironically, the similarity between the two passes because you have to deconstruct the gender difference between them to see the commonality. Not surprisingly, feminism has compared shunning favorably against bullying as a more social form of 'feminine power' while bullying is negativized and shunned as a form of male domination-oriented aggression. Although shunning results in domination and submission just like bullying does, it was regarded as a subversive form of power and thus validated as being something different from domination. In practice, shunning and bullying are used in combination to exclude 'undesirables' and create exclusive hierarchies and 'in-groups.' What's interesting is when the bullies start getting shunned and the shunners get bullied for shunning. Suddenly inclusive power becomes more effective than exclusion and domination, but of course it doesn't usually take long before love turns to hate and the shunning and bullying begin again. Humans are not as good at transcending their animal nature as they would like to believe. edit: why did the date-stamp list this post as occurring "44 years ago?"
