Thank you Fr. Gregory! It's consoling that God doesn't change. It's also a great grace that He grants us the grace to change to grow more like Him! This was a helpful clarification. Thank you! Will you please do an episode on the Restriction on TLM that are currently being implemented? I live in a parish where this is a BIG deal!

Kind of sheds light on the whole idea of a the "relationship" in many respects there's a sublime philosophical pointlessness to it all, God sends floods, fires, terminal illnesses, sits there with arms folded as every human atrocity is carried out (sometimes in his name) and we have to accept that he's always been this way.

I'm definitely a nerd because hearing "divine immutability" made me happier than eating does 😆 God bless you Fr Pine.

“He swore an oath he will not change, you are a priest forever, a priest like Melchizedek of old” -Psalm 110, said in Vespers every Sunday He doesn’t need us to participate in his divinity but teach others about the uniqueness of his divine and human nature in our own life. A creator gets upset when a creature takes a gift they were given and perverts it to selfish ends.

Father, I’m me here. Being God unchanged, and Being Jesus God how come He change? Our Lord was born a baby and grew. In other words, how can we conciliar the mystery of the incarnation with the immutability of God? Thanks for you work.

Just the human nature of Our Lord has changed

Does God control his immutable nature or is it determined by something other than him?💭

I’m trying to better understand - time is just the measure of change; why? I could imagine a possible world where everything in the universe stops changing….for 3 seconds, then continues it’s normal nature. Lol.

The doctrine of immutably, although logical, is not what one sees in Jesus. And Jesus is how we know what the Father is like. God is first and foremost Love. Does God change? No? Then what’s God doing on a cross? God is the most moved mover.

Content is great, it's just a lot of these thumbnails are kinda cringy, specifically the ones for Matt's interviews. Whoever's in charge of them, don't be afraid to just put a show logo or something simple, they're thumbnails, not comics.

God is the ultimate explanation for everything? Lol 😂 so the explanation is that “it is a mystery and only god knows” how silly that is … smh 🤦♂️

I believe God changes his mind.
@RealAugustusAutumn2 жыл бұрын
That's a heresy. God's "mind" was already made up at the beginning of time. You're implying His plan can change, but that contradicts His infinite state

Malachi 3:6: "I am the LORD I do not change." If God changed mind. Why redeem disobedient humans? It would be easier just to destroy this world altogether and keep the company of the faithful angels alone. They are more intelligent, faithful, obedient than us and their number is exceedingly superior. Instead, out of mercy and love, He keeps giving us new chances and has done all the work needed for us to reach the end He created us for, which depends entirely on our decisions made on earth in this short life.
