One of my favorite ideas for if they ever wanted to actually give Goten and Trunks a time to shine, is that they start training again, but more specifically on mastering fusion. Due to their bond of being best friends their entire life, they always fight fused. One thing that would make this so awesome is that instead of doing the fusion dance, they figured out their own way. Imagine them walking forward towards an enemy, they fistbump and then immeaditly fuse into Gotenks. Would that not be so bad ass?

@@Obad87considering how the fusions are wholly new beings created based off the personalities of the two people fusing, ginyu's consciousness would probably just cease to exist until the two fuse again, and gotenks, as his own seperate being, would remain in ginyu's body. this would mean that hypothetically, goten and trunks can coexist at the same time as gotenks. thats just my theory, though

Don't forget when gotanks cracked the head they were a projectile that got amped up by 18 and number 1 or 2. That with adding the velocity and speed of the projectile that is gotanks made his base form stronger then normal and was able to Crack cell max skull.

I find it kind of funny how these failed fusions that most of the Dragon Ball characters become AKA fat gotenks and Gogeta yet they are able to endure a lot of harsh punishment.

@@madero-jb5ri prolly not, usually more heavy weight fighters (sumo) have all the fat to store more energy aswell as provide more cushioning against blows so them being durable shouldn't really be a widely asked question.

@5:17 The "magical block" you spoke about makes perfect sense when you realize that fusion is basically a ritual that has certain consequences if not performed correctly. Another example is in the Harry Potter series when the students at Hogwarts were learning how to correctly perform spells with wands and got hit with consequences from the magic they attempted to use because it wasn't conjured up correctly

Thinking about it, it could very well be that Gotenks fat and maybe even skinny are all equal in power but are unable to properly use their Ki. It would actually make the movie scene make more sense as why Gotenks had seemingly more impact then Ultimate Piccolo's attack, because Gotenks was able to channel his Ki enough to deal more damage then Piccolo's Ki blast. Of course since it's a gag scene, I could be just over analyzing was is possibly meaningless.

Cell Maxs head was WEAK. It was meant to be an EASY off switch. Like a mans balls. It doesn’t prove gotenks was super strong. It proves that site was way less strong than Cell Maxs other body parts.

I think the only cloudiness with fusion is that they only can't retain knowledge that only the other knew going into the fusion. For example, it's why after being Vegito, Vegeta doesn't suddenly know how to do SSJ 3 or Instant Transmission or any of the Goku centric techniques. They temporarily know, when they're fused, but they lose that knowledge when they diffuse, only retaining their own memories and new memories while fused.

What if vegito or gogeta specifically recalled goku or vegeta's childhood? wouldn't goku and vegeta be able to remember recalling those memories as the fusion? or would only one of them remember while the other would just remember recalling something but not what it was?

While I don't doubt there being significance here, I would still like to note that most of the other fighters bounced him around like a pinball beforehand and his hard Saiyan head is what collided at a high speed. Given the narrow point his head represented and having consistent mass, I think physics cones into play somewhat for it. Especially since he looked like he sped himself up deliberately to try and make a difference when he couldn't stop himself.

Chi/Qi/Ki is already mystical energy with 3 types (mind, courage, body) and etc. I automatically think that it just merges energy/other mystical stuff wrong which might block out propwr usage of some techniques and lessen precision of energy control.

It's been stated multiple times in DB lore, both canon and non-canon, that after a failed Fusion, they burn through their energy in excess, and cannot properly utilize it to fight. While the failed Fusion could still technically be used, it's severely detrimental to do so. The Frail Failed Fusions don't even get any energy/ki to fight with. And the Fat Failed Fusions burn through it so fast that the slightest effort pretty much immobilizes them. However, I think it's actually an inspiring thing that despite failing the Fusion, Fat Gotenks was not only able to still fight, but not show signs of fatigue either. It could be due to their training, their immensely high ki concentrations to begin with, or it could just be training and practice. But seeing that Fat Gotenks could still kick butt like that despite failing the fusion, seems like a far more interesting topic to dive into than why he couldn't go SS

I think Gotenks not being able to go into ssj could be a mental block as well. Gotenks is aware of the fact they're a failed fusion, so they probably were thinking that some of their other skills might not work either. Who knows.

The last time gotenks had a fight was against vegetas copy and they didnt reached base vegetas copy in power even on ssj3 so? They stoped training i know but i was expecting beter from ssj3 on that fight. But at the same time we are talking about vegeta wich is a very strong oponent even on its base form.

If you want to try and apply some logic, you can look at it like this. SSJ is a transformation. Transformations can happen in many forms. Perhaps a failed fusion inhibits transformations because otherwise, you might be able to transform to a non-negative form. For example... SSG makes a sayian thinner/leaner right? Thats part of the characteristic of the transformation. So... if say the Gogeta in the Broly movie just went SSG when they had the fat failed fusion, then... they would negate the negative by getting thinner! Maybe not to a significant degree, but maybe. Depends on writing. Or here a better one. A skinny failed fusion. Look at Roshi's buff form, Freiza's old 100% form, and the Vegeta/Trunks buff SSJ grade forms. If you can just buff yourself up from a skinny base... then whats the point of the failure? But really, its about health. Fat and thin are unheathly states for humans/sayians. Fat can be strong, but gas easily (as is shown with gags), and thin can not burn much energy... but tends to be weak. They cant tap into Ki properly with an out of shape body (SSJ is a Ki dependent transformation), but their still strong and dense in fat form.

While I do think Super Hero sailing is interesting (even though the movie is meh) because we're seeing someone NOT Goku and Vegeta progress. But now that we know Beast is not even on MUI Goku's level kinda kills my interest in knowing where they scale. I'd love to see multiple characters surpass Goku so he can have more than just the constantly moving goal post Beerus to try and catch up to. Plus it'd make other characters more hype to bring in because we don't need to rely on Goku and Vegeta all the damn time.

I knew this answer from when dbz was on toonami.........its the stamina they need to transform and hold the transformation....as a bad fusion their stamina is very low. goku doesn't use ss3 because it eats his stamina to fast .....dbs proved it even more when goku first came out of UI sign ....he had power but not enough stamina to transform even when began to gain his stamina back he 1st went ssj not God or blue very simple .....

What now makes no sence at all about fusions now is that trunks and Goten are able to go ssj 3 while both only been able to go ssj1 that's a big leap. While ssj blue evolved and kio ken would not make a ssj6 (4) under a full Moon or go to a planet with multiple moons grow there tail back in the transformation fused stage. After all both Goku and Vegeta are both full blooded and born with tails, come on they need to get there tails back, and can only transform into a higher level and stage on full moons. Go back to that original law of a Moon and the beast, also same could be said for Gohan and Broly. Peace ✌️🕊️ Maca E'Q'Lib. And I Am not saying that I Am right or wrong just a thought is all. Side Note Goku and Vegeta should be getting trained and training to get their tails back, after all it is still law that is where there true power within is could you imagine all of the Saiyan's all getting their tails back, even future Trunks. It only now makes sense to bring back there heritage through that almost every single one of their parents had their tails. They have got to bring this back

This is easily the most dubious claim for power I have seen in a dragonball video. Saiyans have notoriously hard heads and a fused saiyan was hit like a projectile skull first into a much bigger head, he didnt even fling himself there, and yet you're arguing that this feat shows how powerful he is? I completely disagree and think that the scene shows nothing more than how hard-headed a saiyan is. In the first episode of original Dragonball, bullets bounce off Goku hardly leaving a scratch, yet after gaining power enough to destroy universes Goku is bruised by a bullet in Dragonball Super. You can pretend the series is consistent but it's nowhere close to consistent and this power difference between Gotenks and Cell max is just more of the same.
