As a show, I'd describe Super as a Rollercoaster. It's lows are pretty low, but it's highs had the internet by the balls for weeks on end. This show was given maybe two months to be written, 3 months to have an animation schedule produced, the fact it managed to give us the stuff that it did just shows the power of Dragon ball as a franchise

We see that Toei can do great work when they give their animators time, but they care more about their bottom line so half the time they rush shit.

Honestly what I think they shouldve done is not have zeno erase the universe, but maybe have it be that earth had to be erased to get rid of zamasu. In this scenario it would be that Zamasu's last ditch effort to stay alive whilst immortal be that he tied his soul to earth and the only way Zeno could erase him would be to erase the earth. That way we could maybe have trunks and the rest of the survivors evacuate to New Namek. They could've had Goku ask zeno to just hold zamasu off for a bit while he instant transmissioned everyone to new namek. They could even use the excuse of telling Zeno "wait don't destroy him just yet, if we save these people it wouldn't decrease the mortal level in the universe further". Given that Zeno is a child and has a fondness for Goku, he'd probably agree to it.

Goku black is one of my favorite villains in anime, period. On zamasu I somewhat agree. I think he had a lot of potential but was just outshined by black. But if you want more goku black and a better version of the story (at least I think so) I recommend the manga if you haven’t read it.

Something interesting to consider: Zamasu was kinda right, and Frieza proves it. In a matter of months, Freiza went from weaker than base super saiyan to nearly on par with super saiyan blue, then mastered Golden form through image training alone while confined in Hell. And then, in the Manga, he achieves a power beyond Ultra instinct and Ultra Ego combined after about a year's worth of training. And remember, Frieza is a Galactic tyrant. How long before he just decides to train for a few years, overthrow the Zenos and conquer everything?

Goku Black is a cool arc. Don't know why people like it/him so much though. My personal favorites are Cell and Jiren. The ending with Trunks was better than a normal Vegito win (which Vegito has yet to win anything, btw, only Gogeta so far). Trunks winning and the way he did had way more meaning and depth to it than a Vegito simply out powering an opponent with no meaninb behind it. I liked the Spirit Bomb Sword and the Spirit Bomb Super Saiyan form/boost. It was Trunk's world after all. And Trunk's mission to defeat the foe terrorizing his world.

Mafuba works, have to deal with Goku Black without fused Zamasu existing. Vegito finished the job and there's no spirit sword bs. Have them wait for after Zamasu fuses to use Mafuba, could easily keep his immortality when fused that way. Pretty sure the manga had Black and Zamasu just getting beat tf out off and that's why they decided to fuse, so just have that, they all get beat up by fused again, Goku and Vegeta fuse and give Zamasu the same ass whooping except don't defuse this time, instead makes an opening for Trunks to use the Mafuba. I dunno, there's a few different ways it could have gone. I feel like just Mafuba works gg go next would've been too boring, but it would've been better than what we actually got. Give the animators enough time and either of the last two would be fine to me. Probably more I didn't think of

Zamasu fused was low-key ultra instinct. Well back to ss2 rage trunks that form should've only lasted for a good while because the whole rest of this arc should have been longer so trunks new power up would increase also my personal opinion goku and Vegeta should have unlocked the ability to become super Saiyan blue 2 that would have been done but make more than a ss2 with blue God ki also trunks should've had red surrounding him than blue because a couple of things he should've went super Saiyan 3 but a stronger version that Goku but keeps the blue around representing some type of God ki power up enhancement or he could have went super Saiyan 3 then super Saiyan god later if he had red surrounding him and vegito was supposed to be a ssb2kkx10 and destroy super Saiyan white zamasu fusion this art should have included gohan and it as well

@TrashyJayys Hmm let's see Zamasu noticing Goku's power then discovered the potential of Goku's half breed sons who have the potential to surpass him like say Zamasu decided to do more research on Goku after killing Gowasu and traversed the timeline of Universe 7 witnessing Gohans power and at first I was gonna choose Gohan, but then he traversed further and discovered Goten who along with that timelines Trunks turning Super Saiyans at a VERY young age compared to their respective fathers and older brother. Thus, given Zamasus grudge against Goku instead of taking kid Trunks, he takes Gotens body, kills Gohan and Chi-Chi, and then eventually dips back to his own time to train with Gotens body and allows it to grow up say he trains in a time chamber to age Gotens up till the body reaches its prime peak. Seriously, what better way to get to a man you hate mentally of not just harming his children and wife, but stealing the body of his youngest child and used said kids' body to harm innocent people.

The manga version of this arc had a better conclusion. Instead of trunk's random sword trick, they kept cutting fused zamasu and each piece became another zamasu since he was immortal. That's the reason why they called Zeno. They changed so much in the anime and I don't know why. 😕

Instead of just Toriyama goes to work, he basically just writes a rough draft, which is given to one writer for the anime and one for the manga. I mean, the manga isn't just "fixing the anime," they completely cut Blue Kaioken, why is that a decision they would actively make ever? Tldr, Toriyama basically just hands two different writers a paper that has very very very basic versions of the DBS that we got, and each writer interprets it differently.

They should’ve kept Goku Black and Zamasu as separate antagonists, they could’ve had the Goku Black arc first and then had Zamasu have his own arc after the Goku Black arc. Both were good antagonists but putting them together and having Goku Black end up being Zamasu in Goku’s body is what started the downfall of the arc and it only got worse when they fused

Yeah Zamasu is the definition of wasted potential. We've never had a Dragon Ball villain with a true "sympathetic" motive, and I understand what they were going for, but it just falls apart the more you think about it. For one, Zamasu was shown the worst possible example of mortals, we don't know how he feels about civilized mortals or at what kind of standard he holds them, because after two interactions he makes up his mind. Second, what exactly is Zamasu's end goal? Kill all mortals, then what? Remake them into something better? Just leave the multiverse inhabited by plants and animals (assuming he doesn't hate those too)? We just don't know, it's like he didn't think it through.

Baby definitely had a sympathetic motive. Also, the anime showed that Zamasu had something bad in him to begin with. Doesn't matter if he only had those 2 interactions, racists irl have probably never talked to a black dude but then happens to see one robbing a store or gang crime or something something and then just uses to enforce their beliefs and label all black people as criminals, it makes sense. Pretty sure he had a line at one point about how the world was beautiful, then mortals came along and ruined it, so yeah probably just leave it as nature. Especially considering that the house we see him and black in is still surrounded by a forest, and likely animals like squirrels and whatnot, don't see why they wouldn't blow the forest up if they hated plants and animals. Also saw another comment talking about how quickly Frieza powers up. A few months and he goes from sub SSJ to rivaling Blue. Apparently he tops UI in the manga, as well. Imagine how quickly Frieza could surpass the Gods of Destructions, Jiren, eventually Xeno if he just trained for, like, a couple years. An end goal could very easily just be stopping that kinda threat
