The Earth King himself... the Dog-King... recogniced him when he defeated Piccolo Daimao... and when Cell saga, the same King was able to recognice him in the TV, because he recogniced his son like if were him (he saw kid Goku in Gohan), and seeing Piccolo and Tenshihan around, the King recogniced that the adult one was Goku himself... Of course he was not that sure because the supersaiyan hair was confusing him... but he was already very suspecting of him already...

literally, while it wasn't established visibly in dbz its clearer in super that mr satan never truely liked taking all credit from Goku which is why when he goes ask Mr Satan for money to buy time from chichi's nagging so he can train Mr Satan agrees and even asked in one episode if Goku is sure he is fine with everyone not knowing the truth it was him and his son who stopped cell. I feel Mr Satan just built the statue as a way to make people not only finally respect Goku but acknowledge him even if half truth and have him as a right hand man for Mr Satan which would be funny lol

Goku's voice in SSJ4 always reminded me of what a 12 year old thinks being tough is. Also, why is it SSJ4? It's not after 3, it's an entirely different branch of transformation. Honestly, if the design of SSJ4 was 10% worse GT would probably have 50% less fans. I'm not pro DBS either, they're both equally flawed but fun.

The reason for the Goku statue is because everyone now sees him as the Hero whom saved Earth and the whole universe. The stone could also simply serve as a means to not only immortalize Goku, but to inspire future generations.

@potenteon2028 It's not out of Hell, it's out of the Earth cause the Earth was going to explode. Goku was helping to teleport people on Earth to Planet Truffle but when he found his final victim, he also found Piccolo but then he lose all his energy and Piccolo gave him his energy enough for Goku and the boy to make it to Truffle only for Goku to realize Piccolo is still on the exploding Earth. This killed Piccolo as well as the black stars Dragon Balls.

I don’t think anybody was debating that Goku’s statue was deserved or not, it absolutely was. I think people didn’t quite understand is why would the people of earth know what he did for them when Hercule stole credit for saving the planet more often than Kamehameha was uttered over the years. But a lot of this video makes sense but that said I think it is far more likely that in a tribute to the true saviour of the world and universe, Hercule had the statue commissioned and everyone on earth being a huge mark for Hercule just went alone with it. So it is more telling of Hercule’s character that he at least had the class to give credit where credit is due even if he and the friends and family of Goku were the only ones who knew why. Plus we know Goku didn’t care one iota for accolades or fame out side of the competition mat and even then he didn’t care if he won or not, so long as it was a good fight. So he wouldn’t have been interested in claiming ownership of the title of saviour.

I mean, in universe I can see the argument for Goku being a head scratcher. When it comes to the tournament and the people who remember Goku, maybe they’d approve but they never saw him won. They all ran away evacuated during the Piccolo fight. Sure they remember him fighting Tien and Jackie (the previous winners) but after that Piccolo fight, wouldn’t they harbor some resentment for Goku ruining the tournament? Lol “Aye! Everytime that Goku jerk comes, he ruins the tournament! He turned into a Great Ape that one time, then he pissed off the Triclops so bad that they made a square out of a triangle, and don’t get me started on that Piccolo fight. Great video Goku is always been the world hero just working behind the scenes and pushing other characters in the franchise to reach their best by believing in the best. He changed many villains in the franchise as well like Piccolo Vegeta and many other villains which contributed a lot to the story. But yeah Dragon Ball super is a completely different continuity from the Mainframe of Dragon Ball so the Goku there is different. And does things that aren't really what the original Goku was about. But I'm glad that GT finish Goku story on a high note what the blessings and the help of Akira Toriyama.

even tho, goku just want to fight, and he HATES people to interfere in his match ups, when the earth needs most, he's aways heady to give up on his pride and accept the help of the others, either people donatng nergy to make a genki dama, or him sacrificing himself so other warrior can claim the victory up on theyr opponents, the only moment he risked earth integrity in prol of his own pride was saving vegita so he could fight him again, but luckly he did it, so even with a bad intention he ended up being a hero, so yeah, goku may not be the guy who wants to be a hore but he defenetly end up bein the best hero series can have.

@@megamangman I disagree unless you're living under a rock fans of the show can agree how miss-treated the DB IP has been. I want DB to transcend generations just like what One Piece is doing for this generation. I hated Super, I think it's infinitely worse than GT not just in story telling but animations and character handling + world building. People can dislike GT but they tried to expand its universe. Dragon Ball Super felt small, safe.. Most the arcs were reskin of past events but the only difference is god ki. I dislike the whole god ki aspect of Super I think the power leveling of the show is all over the place and not only did it disrespect the characters but out right nerfed all the past forms like SSJ, SSJ2 and SSJ3. Dragon Ball Super is a shell of its past self but as much as I hated Super there's just as much fans who loved super. I think it's unfair to ignore those guys because end of the day it's still Dragon Ball. I think Super could've been better, wayyyy better and I'm disappointed but same time. I can't complain because there's people who loved Super and who am I to tell them otherwise. I think that's the beauty of internet/humans people can enjoy/dislike things but still be respectful because "hate" can also come out of passion, people can't hate something without being passionate about it and wanting it to do better that in itself is love for the franchise. Edit: Goku 1 of the only positive uplifting character left. Superman character has been butchered thanks to The Boys and Invincible plus the whole Zack Synder Superman.... The world's full of hate and we need some cheerful characters like Goku to make us smile through the tough times

I’m pretty sure they all knew. They all knew goku was the earth’s savior, I mean come on… they really think Hercule beat cell who can casually blow up mountains and fly? Hercule just got all the credit out of respect, they’re all in denial, they want to believe satan is the hero cuz they love him, but humans were always fully aware that hercule was in fact not that strong. everyone should already know something was up. Especially since goku has been saving the world since he was a kid and everyone knew that he beat king piccolo sr. And when he beat the red ribbon army, word had to been out. Then piccolo jr, satan didn’t exist in dragon ball yet. not to mention they have seen goku literally fly and shoot energy blasts at the tournaments. I dunno why people hate GT. Because, Super no offense to those who like it, but Super just takes ideas and characters from Z and make it worse and trying to connect Z to their own story. For example. Cullifla is female Goku, Hit legit Guldo even though I like Hit, Cabba is Tarble, Kale is female Broly, the Pride Troopers are the Ginyu Force etc. And all GT did was with Android 17 pretty much taking from Super 13 movie that's it. You don't see in GT unlike in Super trying to make money out of forms that either 1, will not be ever use because of UI and Ultra Ego, and 2 they just reuse the Super Saiyan forms and changing colors and say: "YUP. That's good." This video here proves it. I like VERY FEW things from Super like Hit, Cabba, and Beerus, but that's pretty much it. The rest is either, reused or trying to connect things to Super which is already TOO LATE for the story to even have that. At least GT did not make Goku seem SO DUMB like in Super, like him not knowing what a kiss is even though he has 2 kids and a granddaughter. If you want to say that Goku didn't what a marriage was in DB. Well YEAH he was 12-14 living in the woods with no one besides Bulma etc at first. Also, Goku not knowing what a meditation is and thinks it's dumb? Like REALLY? he's being doing that since DRAGON BALL. And Goku is no just someone who loves to fight for no reason like Vegeta. Goku wants to become stronger to improve himself to protect those he cares about, not like in Super that he risked EVERYONE's life for a tournament even though he was told NOT TO. Sure, everyone else would die, but that something that Goku in Z and PROBABLY in DB would though first before ACTING ON IT.
