Imidacloprid is another grub "preventative" that could be put down. Where I live in southern NY July 1st would be about right. Brian Mounts from The Turf Mechanic channel says that Scott's Grub Ex is not water soluble and takes a long time to get down into the "kill Zone" so if app time for imidacloprid (depending on where you are) is July 1st, for Grub Ex it would be May1st.

I been using grub x the past two years and had success I would say. I never used it before because I didn’t know what a grub was. Found some in my backyard that killed off a good amount of my lawn and been using since!! 👍🏼

That is exactly why I use it. It's been a great product for me as well.

i wonder if this product will also kill ants?

I don't think it will.

Can you apply this after mowing or have to wait 2 days?
@TheLawnShark9 ай бұрын
You can do it right away. You want it in the soil below the grass canopy.

How long do you wait before applying other products? PE, fert, etc...
@TheLawnShark10 ай бұрын
There is no need to wait after applying GrubEX. Fertilizer will not interact with it, but I would make sure to water it in.

First comment nice. Thanks for the reminder on the grub ex. You know it's warm or hot if you have shorts and your bright shoes on. Love it bro. Can't wait till the next video

Hi, Nice video. I live in Northeast PA. Was wondering if you recommend a soil temperature range to apply GrubX. We are roughly around 45-47 degrees right now. Thanks.
@TheLawnShark10 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! I am not sure about the temperature range, but I think it is more about the time of the year. You want to suppress the development of larvae, so I would say anything that is warm enough to see them become active. The packaging simply says Spring to early summer. Not sure that helps.
