Never understood why that sequence for Episode I is memetically hated then and maybe now. It does at least show the varied wildlife of a key planet like Naboo quite fittingly, while it does possibly foreshadow what happens to the declining Republic and stagnant Old Jedi Order in the years afterward.

I didn’t even know it was hated. It’s one of the handful of TPM scenes that are good and don’t weigh down the plot

There are rivers flowing in the ocean in real life, so it's not a stretch to imagine it can happen on another planet. I loved the scenery of the village when they arrive. People didn't liked épisode 1 back then, but I loved the world that was shown to us, and I loved the Naboo planet and civilization, it gave up the ancient Greek mixed with a bit of art deco thrown in the mix. I would like to see a real action movie that takes place on Alderan, so we might feel something when it get destroyed.

I like how the sando aquamonster in episode 1 grabs the opee seakiller in it's mouth and grabs it's head in it's left hand and rips the opee's head off and casually tosses the head to the side like "he won't be needing this anymore". Cracks me up every time.😂😂😂
