Season one was phenomenal. Season two was pretty good. Season three was _real_ bad. Season four was absolutely atrocious. What made the first season so great were the character-based storytelling and focus on the interpersonal relationships of our core group. But the series kept falling into nonsensical violence for the sake of it.

The first two seasons were FANTASTIC but they jumped the shark So quick when Harley and Ivy got together immediately after ivy dumped Kite Man, and Harley's selfish role in their break up.i personally think a lot of audiences turned on her from that. Harley Quinn originally worked cause it was a great PARODY of a Batman series. And Batman going to Prison was probably one of the most logical things cause you can't really be SANE and be BATMAN. Harley joining the Bat family, another Jump the Shark moment. Joker becoming of a very corrupt Gotham City? That tracks . But why would Harley (when Joker was sane and forgot he was Joker) Harley made him insane again for HER own ends ,it made no sense. I personally that audiences started to turn on the Character. Everything happened too fast

The problem with the show is that after season 2 Harley and Ivy had no where to go as characters because they were no longer bouncing off of fully realized characters or threats. The show won't let them be villains, heroes, or even anti-heroes their external conflicts boil down to stuff that just happened LOL furthermore while their relationship is as fundamentally dysfunctional and toxic as Harley's relationship with the Joker was it doesn't really matter because nothing matters because anything that could matter is discarded as a joke the moment it could have weight and depth the show is now just a forgettable breezy mess.

Batman going to prison is insane, the dude has contributed WAY MORE for society than everyone in that garbage city combined, also being a billionarie succesful entrepeneur, and extremelly smart... but because he dresses in a bat suit at night and beats up the absolute worst of society he is insane? I fucking hate how they force this idea that Batman is insane, I REMIND YOU, if your version of Batman cannot have a reassuring talk whit a 10 yr old girl, you need to start over. @@streptococo4735 Batman is a vigilante who never dealt with his trauma. That is canon. He is a man who uses punches as a secret communication rather than come up with some form of hand signals. The reason why the GCPD often hunts him down is because he is breaking the law. It's also established that he misuses WE funds to fund his Batman activities which is the same as stealing from shareholders. Not to mention that in the comics he's often investigated by CPS and only gets away with adopting more orphans because he bribes officials. Batman has issues and needs professional help. That has always been canon. The batman who talks to a 10yr old is not canon. The cartoons aren't canon.

Just wanted to add that the whole destroying "male" trees plot made less than no sense, especially when it's grass pollen responsible for most seasonal allergies. Over 90% of plant species have both male and female reproductive organs, something that can be observed by just looking at most flowering plants or the role that bees play in their reproductive cycle. This is something the writers must have realised at some point (seeing as they're writing for the character of a botanist) but chose to wilfully ignore in order to pedal an analogy that likewise is rooted in very little truth. Antihistamines, decongestants and corticosteroids have hundreds of other uses that aren't seasonal rhinitis, e.g. literally any other allergies. Funny how they have a poster with the phrase "science is real", whilst feeding into big pharma conspiracy in the dumbest way possible.

I highly agree. I was really enjoying season 2, it had some genuinely great episodes and although it was far from perfect it was a cute fun show to watch. S3 was a big downgrade but I still watched it because I was hoping it would get better in season 4, and at least the writers were trying to make the story somehow make sense. Then season 4 happened and I'm for sure dropping the show, it's really probably the worst season of TV I've ever seen period. I wanted to like it but there's not a single good thing to say about it, the animation feels worse, the characters are all assholes, the story makes no fucking sense at all, if you can even call it a story. It was actually painful to watch and while I'm usually excited when shows release new episodes every week this time I was just putting off watching it because I knew what it would be like after seeing the first few episodes. It's sad to see this fun and engaging series become such a shitshow, they should just stop and not make season 5 at all because nobody's watching it if it's the same quality as this trash.

Yeah, while I dislike S2. I can say that S2 was a lot of fun, and had some great moments. S3, has a story at least, and while it’s mostly bad, there are some good moments sprinkled throughout (like the Batman focused episode). There’s practically nothing in S4 that I like, just things that had the potential of being decent. I’m hoping S5 is better, but I don’t have hope. The Kiteman show looks cool, but I doubt it will be any good. Either way, I’m willing to give the show one last chance lol.

I wish they'd go full on to whatever they want. If they wanna do a comedy. Cool. Make it an anthology series. Bottled episodes like Powerpuff girls. Would be quick digestable episodes. This was a trainwreck of a season. Honestly the best episode was when Bane went to Italy. This had 2 episodes that's better than everything in Season 3. But overall it's the worst season because the first 5 episodes and the last episodes were such a chore to get thru. I hope they pick things up with Season 5. Cause i love Season 1 & 2. Or just completely abandon the show. I am looking forward to the Kiteman spin off though. I feel like it's a better successor.

I remember starting an ep of S4, I think the weird Avatar one with the harlivy kid. And about four minutes in I genuinely just stopped watching and didn't get back to it for three days. I've never done this. Hell I watch every Velma episode as they dropped, not cause I like it but because all the KZbinrs were talking about it so I wanted to be in the know. But HQ S4 just drained me so much. I can count my total laughs on one hand and I laugh at the dumbest stuff. It even felt like Kaley Cuoco was phoning it in when I found her in the best to be a wonderful voice actress. And Joker was ruined, just flat out ruined this season.

The first 2 season were good enough, the bat cast along with other characters were at least more consistant then in such a interpretation. Even if the shows a comedy as much as action show, later seasons felt off cus the directions gotten more offputting along with the comedy for the sake comedy. With Velma every line is rock stupid while being laced with so much snarky self-importance constantly talking down to it audience as it holds the IP is based upon with such contempt it actually beggars the question why did they even bother using it the 1st place? The Harley Quinn series started out strong, but yeah, season four isn't great. I can forgive a lot of the OOC moments, though, because this is a parody, but they never follow up on the things they set up in season three--Joker as mayor, Harley joining the bat family, etc.

I didnt know people disliked the show after season 2, so far IVE LOVED IT and only want more!! Hivy does seem forced but in terms of their "get out of jail free" Id give it to them because the show really made me think about how the whole dc superhero world makes no sense when it tries takingbitself seriously because in every batman show/comic we always learn how deadly serial killers and war criminals are always escaping this Asylum which makes no sense because if this world was halfway serious they would all be executed by international law, Harley Quinn playing on this not only gave me a revelation but also made me lmao each time. I also believe Ivy robbing the jewelry store without caring was due to the fact she's become op af now with access to the green. I do see the comparisons to family guy but you have to admit that this adilt animated show is much better than the slop that keeps getting renewed right? It beats out modern family guy, simpsons, and all of big mouth at the bare minimum

I probably have a lot to say, but the one thing i'll say is I believe if there was a Nora redemption arc, it'd be good to picture how her infatuation with Captain Cold could be her way of redirecting her feelings for her husband towards someone else (she kinda always gave me that impression). P. S. Personal note here, i hope to see more Tefé on next season... and yes, there will be a season 5 since Nightwing was revived and all of that.

Something to add on. They showed when Clark Kent went to lex's moon base that there was small amounts of kryptonite everywhere. From him getting drunk to trying to take off and failing where he outright says it. But lex, with the powers of Superman doesn't seem to have a problem using the powers

the show went downhill the moment it started pandering to the toxic harley x ivy shippers. Show was better focusing on Harley just being Harley. Kiteman and Ivy were great together. An eco terrorist and a eco fanatic. But then the toxic fans yelled out and kept demanding "we want HLA! HLA! HLA" and they gave it to us. Then they make Harley's new outfit the trans pride flag in S4. They do the whole BS with Bruce and the Bat Family. NOBODY cares. We came for Harley. Imagine, if you will, putting on the CW's Supergirl. But instead it focused mostly on Clark, Hal Jordon and Arthur Curry. (Superman, Green Lantern and Aquaman) instead. Thats what this shows become. "Oh you wanna watch Harley? Well here's Dr Psycho calling Wonder Woman a c4nt, here's Ivy getting off on a vine and heres Bruce having a midlife crisis."

I think that S1 is a genuinely good season of TV. Albeit, a bit flawed. Season 1 has a problem of being quite repetitive. As in, Harley will do something, Ivy will advise against it, Harley realises she should’ve listened to Ivy, and then says she’ll listen to her more from now on, rinse and repeat. But that’s probably my biggest complaint for season 1. At the time, I had a lot of high hopes in what kind of new directions the show could take. I have a bit of a bias towards S2, despite it being not very good in terms of writing. I was still quite hopeful for S3, but these 2 seasons have actively ruined the show for me unfortunately. It is really sad to this show get ultimately destroyed, when there is still the potential for the show to be great. I even comment in the video on how great it could’ve been if they hadn’t tried to subvert expectations of typical storytelling for shock value. I’m glad you decided to give this video a chance, since a lot of Harley Quinn fans didn’t bother with my S3 video. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to watch this long ass video lmao. 8 min in, oh its a 2 hour video? damn. that better call saul joke was good and im gonna watch the rest, but; On Harley, like many others S01 was good and S02 was pretty much more of the same, and for some reason S03 just fell off a cliff and i just finished S04 just to see how deep the abyss was, and its like all the writers for this show *HATED* all other characters other than Harley and Ivy. I keep thinking of that episode when Mr Freeze sacrifices himself for his wife, and his wife is pretty much like: "thank fuck he died, now i can do all the drugs, alchohol and dicks in the universe", that is how i feel the entire S04 played out, a huge "what-are-you-doing-writers?"-moment.

I really hate this show. I have often said the only way to salvage it is to have Harley wake up in the Asylum after Joker leaves her on that boat in the first episode or she's telling everyone a neat little story about how she could have lived if they gave her another chance. Then the group starts poking holes in her story and she gets mad and proves why she doesn't deserve another chance. It's the only true way to end this dumpster fire of a series. Every single character is bastardized and the way they act only makes sense if it's revealed to be how Harley Quinn sees all of them.

another thing to add to how stupid the fight between poison ivy and the legion is the fact grodd couldn't just use his psychic powers to brainwash her or shut her brain off the second he thought about going against her it's shown he fires off some king of psychic beam but ivy somehow blocks it with her plants that's not how psychic powers work the beams in the comics are entirely metaphorical because psychic powers have no physical effect on the real world it's all mental so unless her planets are the equivelent of magnetos helmet for some fucking reason she should be double dead here

this show crashed and burned the moment kiteman left. i did originally like the show because at the time we either got extremely kiddy or overly serious stuff and with harley as a protagonist the "adult" comedy vibe actually fits and setting it during her redemption arc so many spinoffs love doing for some reason made her interesting. was she a dogshit human being for the show? absolutely and it constantly bit her in the ass, relapsing to the joker when she was on the up set her back down and her having to make friends with kiteman despite her jelousy was great character growth for her, it's just ashame that her getting ivy to cheat wound up splitting the two up and ivy IMMEDIATELY dates harley after being dumped at the alter. i get rebound but that is way way too soon and doesn't give the characters time to reflect on being assholes. and towards the end of the second season lot more of these harley getting off scot free moments continued to happen, like suddenly being on speaking terms with mr freezes wife after directly leading to his death. and honestly by the end of season 2 the novelty of dc family guy wore off, i only really watched for the plot but the fucking potatoe harley being the thing to make her quit heroing just sent me. with how aprehensive she was at that point it's flat out out of character for her to murder nightwing. like screw the power scaling arguments, harley only ever murders in a fit of rage or not holding back in combat, and if she wasn't lucid enough to know she killed someone she sure as hell wouldn't have hid them in a tree. the end of the season every character has been assasinated or stopped appearing. i don't even know if there is a season 5 cause i've not kept up with it at all but frankly half the batfamily are gone, harley is still as unstable as she was in season 1, and ivy is just straight up boring, like i get she's an eco terrorist but even then the ceo stuff is only tangentally related, the main focus is on her trying to be a girlboss leader when like, she should hate corporations cause those are the things which pollute the most, maybe not going full commie but definitely wouldn't want to participate in that system.

The best Harley Quinn TV Series Content is the Comics in the same universe. Written by people not involved with the show and actually treats Harley and Ivy as a real couple, and features several other heroes and isn't "Family Guy" style humor. I'd recommend them over the show any day of the week. Vixen is especially one of my favorite characters in it as well as her girlfriend, and Harley's story of trying to join the BatFamily is done a hundred times better than the show ever pulled off. After reading the comics related to the show I wonder why the show isn't more like them instead. It's vastly superior, I'd definitely recommend checking out Real Sidekicks of New Gotham & Legion of Bats to see an actual good representation of what the show COULD be if they had better writers. The comics actually feel like they're actually couples and storytelling and not 90% exploitive comedy like the show poorly pulls off.

I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 of the show, they weren't perfect but they were enjoyable I can't say the same for season 3, it completely undid everything good that the 1st two seasons established and I stopped watching the show after that, I can't believe season 4 lowered the bar even more....The show should have just been 3 seasons with about ten 22-30 minute episodes and have a better story and better writing overall, not every single movie/show that's successful has too outstay it's welcome, the one lesson Hollywood will never learn even with animation which sucks

I do like the character portrayals of all the villains and the animation is great. Season 3 and 4 could have cooked a little longer. I think Bane is the best character.. he's such a hilarious and strong try-hard.

I personally always found the core concept of the show to be fundamentally bad, from its conception to the end point, it was always character assasination from the ground up, it was always subvertive, Harleys entire existence is a byproduct of the Joker abuse, keeping her the same AFTER she ended whit the Joker, is like still slapping and punching yourself in the face after your abusive alcoholic husband died, it was all turned into a VERY bad joke, Poison ivy becoming lesbian and the romantic partner of Harley is also ironic as fuck. a manipulative, deadly, narcissistic HUMAN HATING half plant control freak ends up being Harley new partner... HOW FUCKING IRONIC I SAY, but apparently lesbians are always good and would NEVER abuse their partners.... i will just say, Ivy being lesbian is stupid because SHE HATES HUMANS, all humans, she barely tolerated Harley because she was amusing, like a pet, making her "this" is a MASSIVE jump in character narrative. But even then, imagine when you have a show that already had a broken, disfunctional premise, a failed attempt that was CONDEMNED to fail, and you MAKE 4 SEASONS, the ONLY THING you can do, is humilliate everything around you.

I’m gonna be honest I put season 3 below season 4 cause I think Harley and Ivy are at their best when they are apart. Mainly because it barely focused on the “let’s fight and make up” every other episode. Being in a relationship but not being defined by that relationship at every step was a good choice.

If she's being setup to fail as a CEO, then idk why Lex would give her so many opportunities to succeed as a CEO. Like giving the John's to Ivy. When the John's were present, it was shown that they were helping with Ivy's brand. The only reason she didn't want them anymore is because they were stressful to deal with, and she didn't want to feel like a sellout anymore. If Lex is setting her up for failure like you suggest, then there are many scenes throughout this season that contradict that. Meaning that he was character assassinated in the span of only a couple of episodes.
